Out of all the Sonic games you've played, which level really stands out the most? I have to say my favorite level of all time is Ice Cap Zone, I love the snowboarding sequence in the beginning, and I love how you go from being in a winter wonderland to a cavern full of snow. The music is very catchy too, and after finally figuring out how to get past the stupid barrel from CNZ it's definitely a awesome reward. :)

I have a few levels that I like playing.

First there's the generation's modern Speed Highway. I don't know what it is about that level, but I just can't resist playing it every time I turn on Sonic Generations.

Then there's Sonic Unleashed: Windmill Isle day: act 2. It was the first level that made me feel like I was flying through the stage.

One more just for the sake of not willing to put another one after is Sonic Colors: Sweet Mountain: Act 1. I love the music, I love the setting, I love how much there is to the level. I just love it.

I object to your claims
Well crud, how am I going to pick just one level? .__.;;

I think I would have to go with Jungle Joyride from Sonic Unleashed. The 360 version of course. To me, it is the absolute most gorgeous stage in the game. Seriously, go find a video on Youtube of someone playing that level. Or, go get the game and play it yourself. The Hedgehog Engine makes it look breathtakingly beautiful.

The actual design of the level is very nice as well and I love the transitions to and from all the different areas of the stage.

My favorite Sonic level of all time hands DOWN goes to Final Fortress from Heroes. Atmosphere, tricky yet fun platforming, and some cool music combine into my favorite level in the series.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
- All of Sweet Mountain from Sonic Colors
- Huge Crisis and Mirage Road from Sonic Rush
- Shamar from Sonic Unleashed

...I sure have a fondness for desert-like levels in Sonic games.

I'm going to have to go with Planet Wisp from Sonic Colours. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the challenge is just right to keep me actually thinking about what I'm playing without getting frustrated. I'd say for an honourable mention that I really like the Modern Sonic act of Green Hill in Sonic Generations. It's very easy, but aesthetically speaking it's one of the most beautiful levels I've ever seen.

Good vibes.
Hmmm...

I'd say...

It's a sort of threeway tie between Scrap Brain Zone (acts 1 and 2, not act 3), the Bad Future of Metalic Madness, and Crisis City (Shadow) from Sonic 2006. I really like the distopia-themed levels, and I honestly do enjoy Crisis City from Sonic 06. I like the Shadow version of it the best, as it doesn't have the Mach Speed section.

This. Maybe not my top favorite, but I just love this level(Or rather this area in general). Two of my favorite themes, underwater and Japanese theme combined to make this level and I love it.

I also love the bosses design in this area too.

I have a hard choice. I love all of the levels really.

I guess I'm going to have to go with Hang Castle. The stage's switch gimmick was really interesting, and the music was fitting. I did love the subtle hint of Metal Sonic at the statue section too. It's just a fun stage overall.

Music Plant is a close second though. I love that level too. xD

I have a few favourites:

-Sonic CD's Stardust Speedway - I love this level. It is really fast, fun and has totally rad background music, well for the European version anyway (haven't heard the US music). On top of all of this, the Metal Sonic chase is one of my favourite and memorable boss fights in the series.

-Sonic & Knuckles' Death Egg Zone - The final level of the game, which provides an excellent challenge all the time. The music is very catchy, and the all three bosses (specifically the first two) are quite challenging and fun. In addition, I LOVE the final boss theme, it is one of my favourite video game themes of all time.

-Sonic Unleashed/Generations' Rooftop Run - Love this level. The pace is exhilarating and so fun, and the music is awesome and fits the pace of the level perfectly well. It is a fun level that I always play when I go on Unleashed or Generations.

Ugh...just one? I could pick one level I -don't- like more than I can pick one favorite. And it's Sandopolis by the way because that level is awful >:(

I often judge a big part of liking a level or not by its' music, obviously. The problem is, Sonic almost always had amazing music; even the more 'eh' Sonic games have some good music. So for now I suppose I'll go with Lava Reef, Act One. Ooooh boy that track and level are really fantastic.

I've always really loved windy valley in Sonic Adventure. It's so tranquil(well after the tornado) and nicely designed. I was thrown off by the tornado when I first played it and after that it is just fun and not difficult. Has a remix of Green Grove from 3D blast too. ^_^
