Christmas is back again

Decisions, decisions... looked like the three volunteered, leaving the shoreline in search for provisions, a temporary shelter, supposedly high above and anything that would prove useful, preparing perhaps some sort of vessel taking them off this island.
Witnessing the coyote's countless effort's bringing down fruit, yet as much the taste of litter in his mouth, would fill that bit of hunger, carved up neatly next to the skeleton.

A note... Or was it?
Quickly unveiling it's content, revealing a map, supposedly accompanied by Ellis and the canine filling his mouth, with sweet mellow fruit.
"Turns out we're not the only travelers to this forsaken island."

Of course treasure hunting in a time such as this, wouldn't entirely prove beneficial, as they've already confirmed inhabitants.
Dangerous as they may be, they've averted any unwanted encounters with any carnivore/s.

There's more! A small knife attached to the man's hip.
"I'll take that, thank you sir, you've been most helpful." Upon checking the other's.
"I'd say, we find a shelter for the night, and upon tomorrow we'll start looking for anything that might get useful."

Scattering above the treetops, monkeys were spying on the threesome, plucking a fight, throwing cones at them from above.
Flicking the Thai's left ear, Zeth turn around, staring non amused at the coyote.
"Do you mind, spitting out the stars elsewhere..." Weren't long before someone picked on the Shire as well.
Realizing to soon, they weren't alone, as he raised his voice.
"Get lost banana brain's, or I'll have you stuffed up for dinner tonight."
Intimidating or not, it didn't suit him, as he had no idea how to catch them.
Continuous raining cones their way... It was enough to have Zeth start running, without looking back on the other's progress.

A fair distance away from the sight.
The sent of flesh hadn't proved any difference, as the griffin continues to feast on it's privileged prey.
Upon the sight of smoke lifting past the tree-tops, was it fire...?

Not looking to abandon it's meat, as scavengers are sure to pick up what remains scurrying off into the dense jungle were this majestic eagle has trouble cutting through, unless it's feet are positioned firmly on the ground.

Yet curiosity led it to scatter away, thrusting it's way upward, delivering powerful wing beats, while flickering it's lion tail in a wave/ish matter.
Drawing near, peering through the tree's, finding a simple bonfire, such hadn't been spotted since the last adventurers who ventured here, mysteriously disappearing, yet such stories are known only to the animals on this tropical island.
Dropping down, creating a stretching pattern as the tree's swayed outwards, creating a path, big enough for the airborne beast, who firmly adjusted it's rear leg's, comfortable onto the ground.
Showing little fear of this pitiful fire, yet the slain corpse of a predatory feline hanging loosely above the ground.
Looking to investigate, rather to close for the graced one's good, finding something snatching around his claw, about to make en example, if it weren't for the creature's weight, snapping the wire's.

Growling, as if looking around, whether the responsible was still around.
Was it being hunted, or toiled into one of the human's or whatever's little mischievous game.
Not to pleased, it would surely strike forth at anyone who would reveal it self, if at all.

Pint of real ale please squire!
It was a relief to meet likewise people as himself, at least for the time being he thought greeting Samuel in return. Indeed the jungle was pretty much the only place to head for given the vast amount of beach they were standing on, having discovered no information about where the vessel was headed.

Ellis watched the canine spear the fruit admitting to himself it was a good idea although, not being too hungry at the moment wasting food was important. Who knew how long they would all be here, if anything like the boney fellow in the trees was to go by.

Seeing Zeth move towards something the horse wondered over to see what the fuss was about, seeing the note in the canines hand sent a shiver down the horses spine. Was it others that did this to the dead guy or was it just a case of bad luck?

"Turns out we're not the only travelers to this forsaken island."

"Looks that way, then again who knows what lives on these islands. Don't know if the rumors are true but pretty sure these islands are uncharted."

Grabbing the knife Zeths suggestion was top priority. Staying like this in a night time jungle who knows what would happen.

"I'd say, we find a shelter for the night, and upon tomorrow we'll start looking for anything that might get useful."

"Best we get cracking then, only a few hours of daylight left looking at the sun over the horizon"

Expecting a reply back got only a statement of protest, turning around from the sea view Ellis saw Zeth moaning at Samuel a smile across the shires face until something stuck him too. Looking up the shire saw it was just some monkey thing playing tricks on them, until more cone whatever they were things kept coming down.

"Get lost banana brain's, or I'll have you stuffed up for dinner tonight."

"Ill show him how to get lost the little sod"

Ellis grabbing small rock launching it at the critter, hitting it on the back. Not quite the head shot but enough to stop it being a pain in the backside.

"Gotcha!" But was a short lived victory, as more cones came down..The horse now running up to the others out the way now, the little fun short lived as they stood staring at the bast jungle ahead of them. This was going to be some trek that was for sure.

"No time like the present, best we get mo..."

Something caught Ellis' eye, movement in the bushes next to them, he was sure of it.

"Hello?" As if anything would reply in return, but was just automatic to ask the greeting first. Was his mind playing tricks on him?

"I'm sure i saw something move down there guys, as though it was watching us. Soon as i turned it slunk back into the brush!" Eager trying to get to see what it was, could be their next meal.

"C'mon lets follow it in, could be possible food for later!"

"Yeah... Wasn't expecting that..." Watching the griffin makes its appearance had the half human-half tiger climbing up the tree before it even touched down on the ground. Luckily the leaves on said tree was giving him a bit of cover. This could only last for so long though. Orange and black doesn't blend in with green and brown. Either way, he was higher up than the elegant beast. Yet even his trap couldn't even hold it.

"I shouldn't use my berserker strength so carelessly... I could use it right about now, either to flee or to attack..." With that thought in mind, he started to think of his options. Maybe if he addressed it calmly it wouldn't feel threatened... No, he would have to have an insane amount of luck for that to even be possible. As much as he hated this expression, he was a cat stuck in a tree... Well, half cat. He could always leave and return to his hut. Doing so would be a taking a risk of having this beast follow him there. Clearly it was on high alert now, so any movement he made might make it attack. He should of left when it first arrived. But how often does one see a griffin? He had several options on his hands. He could use his Tygin Roar, maybe make it dizzy which will give him some time to make an escape. Or he could try fighting the thing. Regardless of what he chooses, he'd have to charge his attacks if he is going to use his Tygin feats.

"I'm not big on killing wondrous beats like this... But maybe I can just wound it and drive it away. Dominic and blah... Hopefully the others will have seen the smoke by now and start heading this way... Then again, wouldn't I be putting them in danger if I just waited for them to show up and possible get ripped apart... Teh, using them as beat when its unclear if they're even close... Guess I'll just wait up here into this thing leaves or spots me..." Having gotten those thoughts squared away, he began to charge his Tygin Fist technique. A claw like symbol appeared on his right hand, glowing for a second before becoming black like a tattoo. Now it was the beast's move. Hopefully he could last long enough to get his Tygin Fist properly charged.

Sandopolis Act 2
Samuel still eating, turned and looked at the Thai, who had some paper in his hands. "Turns out we're not the only travelers to this forsaken island." The canine then mentioned about finding shelter. If they all were going to be here for a while, it would be best. The coyote glanced at the skeleton, and thought about the possibility of other inhabitants island, whether they were other survivors from the ship or residents of the island.

When the coyote was nearly finished eating the fruit. He was being yelled at by Zeth. "Do you mind, spitting out the stars elsewhere..." Samuel finished eating, but before he would ask the mutt about the shouting. He saw a monkey, throw something at Ellis. The horse threw a rock at the monkey, hitting it. But the two canine’s and the horse, were still attacked, by more cones.

Zeth and Ellis ran of away from the on combing barrage of cones. Samuel did the same and made haste as well, getting away from the current part of the area. The coyote soon caught back up with the thai and shire. He saw the horse was looking at the bushes. He seemed certain that, there was something in the shrubs. "C'mon lets follow it in, could be possible food for later!"

The coyote followed the shire through the plants, there was a little drop on the other side of the bushes. And Samuel tripped when he landed on the path. He looked to his left and right. And could not see whatever it was Ellis saw. The canine stood up using the spear as assistance. He noticed it was darker on this trail, since the branches and leaves of the trees were blocking out a lot of the light.

Whatever the shire saw, might probably be hard to find now. But all of, a sudden Samuel heard the sounds of footsteps. He, still had his spear with him, and pointed it to the shrubs on the left side of the path. “Who’s there?” He said in a raised voice. He had no idea what it was. Could it be what Ellis saw or could be something that would be a threat.

Whatever it was, it started to move down the path, away from the shire and canine. The coyote suddenly heard a growl coming from the foliage on the other side of the path. Although it sounded more distant. But soon he could hear, footsteps a bit more rapidly like it was rushing towards them. Samuel was getting ready to run. But the footsteps stopped and then, there was thud. It sounded like, it was it was very close to the path.

Samuel walked over to the shrubs and looked through. On the other side he could see it was a large beast. It was too dark to tell what it was, but it did have some large teeth, marks in it’s back. The coyote gulped and stepped back shivering. He then looked to Ellis. “Whatever it was you saw. How big was it?”

Christmas is back again

((Sorry guys for keeping you all waiting, but been struggling on getting back here at all. Hopefully we can all get back to this.))

Ellis did the right thing, running away from the scene, avoiding the monkey's pestering wrath of cones. It was literally more a nuisance then something aught dangerous for their kind.
Following up on the shire's lead...

//"I'm sure i saw something move down there guys, as though it was watching us. Soon as i turned it slunk back into the brush!"\\

Refraining from replying, as whatever presence there might be, should always use precautions, when encountering an potential species, whether it's aggressive or protective of it self.

//"C'mon lets follow it in, could be possible food for later!"\\

Or the other way around, crossed the ridgeback's mind.

//“Whatever it was you saw. How big was it?”\\

Looking to Samuel, almost looked like a scare, as if he had seen what's ahead of them.
It's best taking caution then.
"We'd best stay low then, can't have em spot us, eh!" Refrain from speaking aloud, best they got good ears.

Almost looking down at his feet, not breaking as much like a twig, anything that would alarm their present location.
Wouldn't want to be the ones being hunted.
Appearances wasn't deceiving no, quite tall. "Best stay clear of that beast's presence eh? Any idea what it is?"

There's certainly an strange odor elsewhere, as the elegant creature continued to stretch it's falcon head around.
Looking toward the tree branches above, it wasn't like it immediately reacted to the strange organism high above, until the griffin stared straight into the half feline's eyes. Whether it received eye contact, it's clear the griffin were screeching, hissing, taking upon an more aggressive stance, before charging literally at the tree, assuming it could knock him from the high place.
Even admittedly disturb whatever's idea the human would have in store for it.

Literally using the weight of it's body, slightly leaving it disoriented, before looking toward it's new prey.
