So, GAME were apparently dying at the time they decided to sell Steam vouchers, so, I suppose you cold say that choice saved their business. Before I go into more detail about this, I'll explain to you what a Steam wallet voucher is. Steam is a downloadable client created by Valve that allows you to interact with a large community of gamers. You can purchase games such as Half Life 2, Sonic Generations, Portal, Team Fortress 2, among others, that you'll be able to download for free or for a price. The downloads will appear in the program itself so you are running the games through the Steam client. Now, the vouchers, are what you'd call, virtual money? Basically, they are cards with unique codes on the back, and, you can redeem the code on the Steam website, and, the code will unlock some funds for your Steam account to collect. The amount ranges from what card you purchase, however the amount is visible in store, just not the code. If I'm correct, the cards go from £5 to £10 to £20 and lastly £50. It is possible to purchase the cards again and add funds to the account if needed. Upon purchasing a game on the website, instead of putting in all your credit card details and addresses, all you have to do is click on the option that'll direct you to purchasing it from the funds added to the account itself, that being the wallet. Although GAME started doing this awhile ago, I'd be interested in hearing everyone's thoughts about the matter. |

I'm finding it more weird that they're actually selling download codes for Steam, Origin and U-Play games despite the fact that the games they sell already require those services even if you get the proper retail version. Still I suppose the Steam Wallet works for gifts and people without debit/credit cards |
