"I didn't use the whole thing ...."
An interesting little article I found while randomly surfing the net.

www.cubed3.com

Ex-Rare composer Grant Kirkhope has a desire to join forces with previous Banjo-Kazooie staff and create a new entry in the series.

It's been a tricky life for bear and bird, with the migration from Nintendo to Microsoft leaving a marmite stain with fans. There's a clear divide with the most recent entry on Xbox 360, Nuts & Bolts, you either love it or loathe it.

Banjo-Kazooie series composer and music wizard Grant Kirkhope recently rekindled with love with the franchise on Game Grumps, expressing a desire for former staff to one day reunite, form a new company and create a true Banjo-Kazooie 3 for Nintendo on the Wii U.

Just make Banjo 3 like it should have been made back then and it would be great, and it would be great on Wii U, and all the ex-Rare guys would be together again all happy and kissing each other... I just keep thinking we should just give it a try.

Kirkhope and other team members previously setup an account on Twitter called @MingyJongo in order to gague interest in a "true" sequel to Banjo-Tooie.

At first I dismissed this as a pipe dream, surely Microsoft wouldn't sell off a potential gold mine to a rival company?
However having a look at that twitter account I was met with the following message.

@MingyJongo

We want to make a great game: We asked if you were interested and you all said YES! Now we're working out the what's and the how's.

So, Could be bear and bird be coming home?
Could we see Mario get a run for his money once again?
The concept, if nothing else, is intriguing.

Those who do good, do...
I'm hoping they actually pull this off, I want to see another banjo-kazooie game after we had 5 (counting the spin-off, Banjo-Pilot!) games, so I'm hoping this one would be a success if it came out...

Ah, wait, I actually follow that Twitter account.

Unfortunately, I recalled them saying it would be unlikely, but they hope to make a game as great as Banjo-Kazooie. They want to start off with indie games and then something greater.

I could be wrong though, but I don't think that description in their twitter account was referring to Banjo.

I would be fully ecstatic to play Banjo again, so I hope it's true. :V

I want to believe.

But years of disappointment by Capcom and Nintendo on Star Fox has made me unwilling to believe until its solid.

If this happens and it is nothing like Nuts & Bolts I will totally be all for it.

Yeah they could make a new series that's potentially as great as Banjo but Banjo will never be on a Nintendo system again. Microsoft would have to sell Rare and then Rare would have to give up the ip or hire them all.

Guess what's never coming out? Banjo Threeie *coolface*

Also, I'd hesitate to take anything said on Game Grumps seriously... Then again, Grant did seem pretty genuine about what he said. Could be hope still rides for Banjo after all.
