It's a good idea, but do you think there are still enough fans to fund the game or even enough fans from when it came out??? Idk about that... My guess is it'd have to take hard dedication and non fans to be interested. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/04/yu-suzuki-thinking-about-crowdfunding-for-shenmue-3/ Second we have an article showing Yu Suzuki with Mark Cerny(worked with Sega for Sonic the Hedgehog and Sony on Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and the upcoming PS4 game Knack) and apparently they are talking strategy for Shenmue III. Perhaps they'll work out a deal to get Sony to fund the game? I was kind of annoyed that it ended just when it seemed like stuff was going somewhere. Damn cliff-hanger endings. Here's hoping it all goes well if they do! Blaire: Probably something like a Kickstarter. They get the fans themselves to back the game by donating whatever they can towards the development costs. It's sure worked in the past.

I was thinking that was what it meant, but I wasn't entirely sure. Anyway, I know that there are plenty of people who would love a Shenmue III. I suppose a fundraiser of sorts could potentially work.
