Well I'm sure most of you do because of Sonic Adventure 2. Well I remember how popular they were in Jr. High School. They were very popular at the time and I needed new shoes so I actually found some in my size online and ordered some! It was pretty expensive because it was in British Pounds and tons of shipping costs to the United States but not too bad. The shoes themselves were 19.95 GBP and shipping was freaking 25 GBP equalling 66.95 in U.S. dollars. Most I've EVER spent on shoes but I've always wanted them and considering they don't even make them anymore I was ok with paying that much just once. These are the ones I ordered:

For the longest time, I thought it was just some random name given to the shows in the game. Took a LONG time to figure out it was actually product placement. They look neat but nothing about them particularly stand out for me. Though, if I were to find an exact replica of the shoes that Sonic wore, I'd buy them in a heartbeat. |

Wait, about what year are we talking about here? When Sonic Adventure 2 was released, I wasn't even two yet.

Haha yeah that's when these shoes were popular. I was 13 when SA2 released. I still have three pairs. One very used, another moderately used, and one still brand new. The brand new pair are my prized possession. They aren't available anywhere anymore except ebay for $215... And very rarely show up on ebay. Although a company called Sequential Brands Group bought out Heeley(which own Soap) and a very dedicated following has been emailing them over and over asking about Soap and apparently they're due for a comeback this year! How exciting!!! I will definitely buy some if they bring them back. |

I can picture some sweet acrobatic trick right into a grind. Ohh man, this is definitely a shoe I would invest a 100$ into. Brings back those Sonic Adventure 2 memories so much. ^^ |

Realistically it's harder than you think. Well for me anyway. If you're an aggressive blader it would probably come easy. You gotta have good balance and it's easy to have your feet come out right from under you. That only happened to me once but I was being super careful most of the time. Also landing it right in the middle can be hard... I had it several times where I'd jump onto a curb and land on the rubber part instead of the grind plate. lol I used to have a practice rail to use too but it was only 5 feet. |

I know doing tricks into grinds would be near impossible without a few injuries. Free running shenanigans with grinds in between probably fits my bill a lot more. How well are the shoes in terms of running? Do the shoes feel like they add an extra pound or are they just as light as most basketball shoes? |
