 Fish cautiously approached the ice rink like arena, directed only by his guide. "Quite the arena, here." Fish blurted out to break the silence, "Was hoping for something with a little more variety, but this certainly does the job."

"Don't mistake this arena for something bland, sir. There's more to this arena than you probably know," The guide snickered. "I won't tell you what it is, but I can assure you that it'll be a shocker."

"I know everything," Fish laughed, "There's almost nothing I haven't seen, but I'll take your word for it." They were close to where Fish assumed he'd take his place in the arena. The only reason Fish didn't use his Void Manipulator to teleport to his place in the arena was the fact that he wouldn't be able to restore any of the Void energy he used up during or right before the match; he was a gentlemen though, and it would be unkind to abandon his guide.

"We're here," the guide informed Fish, "I shall leave you here and wish you good luck."

Fish nodded at his guide and put his hand out for a shake, but the guide turned away and began to walk in the opposite direction of him; when he was close to the door they had entered he tripped on a root and stumbled into it. "Well, just trying to be a kind gentlemen," Fish sighed out. Fish checked his Void Manipulator to make sure that he had enough energy for most of it's basic functions; everything seemed to be in order, but some of the greater stealth functions seemed to cost more than he had.

At this time Fish pulled out his long range rifle awaiting for his opponent's arrival, hopefully he wouldn't be fighting anything robotic. He still had terrible nightmares as a result of one such robot killing the majority of his comrades. "Now we play the waiting game," Fish whispered as he knelt down on a rock, crushing it and placed the butt of his rifle on the ground.

 It didn't take much longer for the opponent he was waiting for to arrive. The trek out towards the arena was much easier without the thick veil of fog that surrounded its last arena. The road there felt shorter too, but perhaps that was all in Marcus' head.

Wraith slowly walked into the arena. The distinct mechanical sounds it was making with each step would tip off even one who couldn't see that it wasn't human. While the walls that surrounded it were clearly man made it had a strangely natural feel to it. The ground was covered in lush green grass with some rocks scattered around.

Trees stood at each corner with a larger one standing tall in the centre, though they were far from being undamaged. What should have been lush green branches filled with leaves were charred black, only a small amount of the trees natural colour remaining near the bottom of each trunk. A sign of a fire perhaps? A few scorched patches of grass around the nearby tree would indicate yes. What the cause could have been was beyond Marcus, but he didn't really care. Unless the arena was on fire at this very instant it was hardly his problem.

Shortly after these observations the mech noticed its opponent kneeling a small distance ahead of it with a rifle in their hand. A confused grunt could be heard coming from Marcus' mouth at that very moment.

"Well... it's no fish but... just what is that thing? And where's its face? Man, all sorts of weird things entered this tourney, huh?" he thought to himself. In the meantime Wraith moved into position opposite its well dressed foe.


Wraith stood silently as it stood before Fish. Marcus was opting to stay quiet once more to see how his opponent would react to a so-called mindless machine. With no words to be spoken the mech started up its movement systems, hovering a few centimetres from the ground with its thrusters on standby. Assuming a battle ready stance it waited for its foe to make the first move, prepared to move out of the way should he reach for his firearm straight away.
