Hello, today I'm here to present to you all a small, yet, seemingly large, judging from the above photo, review, of the game, Pokémon Black Version. I've recently obtained the game and I've been playing it almost all day long, despite the fact the title Black & White is somewhat racist in my point of view, and yes, that's a little thing to pop into your mind next time you say the name of the game out loud. Back onto subject, this is the the only canon Pokémon game I've played since Diamond and Pearl, while others such as Pokémon Channel and Pokémon Battle Revolution have been played.

The first thing that popped into my brain when I seen the introduction, was, "Oh, I knew it, Nintendo expect everyone to have played the past games in the series and will give you no introduction whatsoever as to what a Pokémon even is." I thought that, because I didn't see much of an explaination as to what was going on during the starting scene of some person getting a crown put upon his head. But it turned out I was incorrect about no introduction, as I was greeted by a woman for once, and, to be honest, I hated that. Professor Oak would've been better in my opinion.

So she told me a bit about Pokémon, and I was just sitting there, admiring the textures, and all that good stuff. But then she completely ruined the moment, and introduced me to my best friends. What kind of best friends are they if someone has to introduce them to me? So I was pretty confused about that. I just think they could've done a better job phrasing that. A small problem I had during the time you battle against your best friends, is that it is seemingly impossible to lose. I mean that literally. Another problem I had, was that when you get to go downstairs and talk with your virtual mother, if you talk to the television it says how many eggs you've hatched. Problem I had with that was the fact, it told you how amazing it was you'd hatched none.

I was most excited for getting my first starter Pokémon, but, I was also curious if you could have your Pokémon follow you around, much like in Soul Silver, where I normally had my Empoleon behind me, while sometimes turning around and have a mysterious force tell me how much it wanted to urinate upon me. The thing about Pokémon games, is that, you can never have much freedom until you've beaten the game. All the secret areas where you can catch hidden legendaries and such, you can't even go to those places until you've caught the final boss Pokémon with a master ball and have someone claim how it was the most amazing battle he or she had ever seen in his or her entire life. Seriously, it was an ironic moment.

I was excited, I couldn't wait to transfer Darkrai and some of the other Pokémon I'd trained in Diamond & Pearl. So, my first starter was Oshawott, I've always chosen water types as first starters, the previously mentioned Empoleon being a small hint, however I don't think I'll be choosing the water type for X & Y. Seriously, a frog? Anyway, I nicknamed it Monaco, because it sounded neat with my own character name, that being Moriko. Moriko & Monaco

I began thinking to myself as I ventured round, "I really don't like the look of the new generation Pokémon." But the first wild Pokémon I found was a Lillipup, and it was adorable. The colour of it somewhat reminded me of Naruto, so, I decided to catch it. Once I'd beaten it down to low health I attempted and failed to catch it. Luckily, upon hitting him again he still had a little bit of health. I personally think it was because of that god forsaken Pokémon counting game the creepy girl thought of. Just when I was ready to run away!

Anyway, I caught it finally, and I called it Naruto. I got on with the rest of the game, getting a tour of the Pokémon healing centre place. And then I seen the disturbing old man outside whom looked very royal judging from the guards following his every move. I mistook the flags on each side for portals to another universe. I originally thought he was trying to imply that we should start brutally murdering our Pokémon. I was happily mistaken when he said liberation. Whatever that means. Then I met mystery man Mr. N or something along the lines of a letter. It was seemingly impossible to even lose at that match.

So there is still a long way to go on the game, but I'll update you all on any important news, such as my general progress and all that stuff you may or may not be interested in. I'm wasting my life writing this. Please discuss and share your opinions on this review and any questions you may have about it.
