Problem with drinking

Yep.
So, over the past few months, i'm having some problems with my teeth. They're doing fine at the moment, but the only problem there is, is my addiction to soda.

Like said, i drink it everyday. It's just something i began to drink one day and then it escalated to the point i drink up a big bottle everyday. As it's been suggested to me more then several times that soda's bad for your teeth, i decided to change to water. Specifically, strawberry water since i'm not used to things with no taste. It seemed to work at first, but then problems arised again..

For some reason, when i started drinking the water, my throat began to dry. I wasn't exactly thirsty, but my throat wasn't taking the fact i was drinking water very well. I don't know why either, but it grew extremely bothersome.

Can anyone explain to me why is that happening? I'm currently drinking Fanta, but considering i found out recently that's soda too, i think i need to change what i'm drinking once more.

Is it the fact i'm drinking strawberry water? Or is it because i'm addicted to soda? Also, will drinking normal orange juice work and doesn't damage your teeth?

I think drinking some kind of low sugar iced tea would be a great solution.
Here's one that's available where I work. It's called Pure Leaf by Lipton.

I drink a few soda's here and there but mostly iced tea of sorts. If that's not available to you then try a diet tea such as Dairymann's or Smith's. Great stuff. Just don't over do it.
I gotta be honest. I've never heard of such a thing as being addicted to soda pop.
