Welp, i searched and nobody made a thread about this game, so i thought i'm gonna do it. So, what did you guys thought? For me, TWD was probably the very first game to made me realize my love for story-driven video games (Like Heavy Rain and To The Moon) and was also the first game to really make me feel like i'm there. I honestly have never got into a video game as much as i did with this one. Episode 1 made me think that the game was just going to be like any other traditional zombie game, but jesus christ. It's a shame my brother's reaction was only trying to find a key to skip the scenes and then quitting the game.. So anyway, like said. Share your opinion. |

Yeeeah TWD is becoming popular on here! So yeah as for me I liked the game SO MUCH, sadly I never got the chance to play it myself so I had to do with LPs. Those were enough to convince me that it deserved the title GOTY. The game reminded me of Heavy Rain and LA Noire (kinda) which I liked also a lot - the whole 'interactive drama' kind of thing really piques my interest. I like story driven games much more than anything else. This game did it right. I don't think any game has made me cry more, and I haven't even played it myself. That says a lot. This game should be called The Walking Feels. I had so many of them. I'm still depressed. That ending, oh god. I have yet to see a game be this good. Also, season 2 is announced~ |

Speaking of having to watch the game, it kind of sucked for me. I saw the first episode through youtube. After that, i played the rest of the episodes myself, blind. Well, not exactly the rest...before episode 5 was released, i had to install in a new system because the earlier one had a undeletable virus in it..the new system can't play 3D games, so i had to see the fifth episode on youtube. Bit of an anti climax, but i still cried at the youtube playtrough i found. |

I was browsing the Steam store and I noticed various advertisements and positive reviews for the game. I was initially skeptical because it's not my kind of genre but I went ahead anyway and I have to admit, it was a superb purchase. I bought the game only a few days after episode two was released, and I was immediately hooked after the first scene. Buying it early on rather than later gives you the extra time to absorb the experience and conjure up what could possibly happen next. In my opinion, that makes you even more susceptible to what the game throws at you. Also, I don't think I have ever played a game where the characters and dialogue are so well defined and believable. Unfortunately, getting attached to these characters will prove detrimental to your health considering what happens to most of them. I kinda' got depressed for a few days after a certain character got killed off rather coldly and suddenly. Definitely no problem with it being GOTY. |

Really amazing game. Every time I talk to my sister, we end up talking about it for hours (and how'd we'd both probably be the Ben of the group if that was happening to us). Even my brother, who's basically written off video games, likes it. I hope season 2 can live up to the first one. |

Watched a friend play this last weekend, a very compelling game, everything a point & click should be. Once again TellTale hit's the nail on the head when it comes to narrative game play. Also, Possible Spoilers?

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!

Oh dear, The Walking Dead! Since I believe story is the second more important aspect in a game (next to gameplay itself) (and in my opinion as well), TWD capitalizes on that and does it extraordinarily well. Probably the best story in a game of 2012, if not one of the best ever. There was no doubt that I enjoyed this game. HOWEVER...It is hard to describe this as a "game". I know that my sound weird but while it does give you enough gameplay set pieces with the control of Lee, it feels more like a movie than it does a game. And that is not essentially a bad thing, but I was expecting a little more control than it offered at times. I did like how your choices really did matter to most scenarios, although I hated how certain character eventually met there doom, no matter how hard you tried to keep them alive. Don't think of me ragging on the game; like I said, I had a great time with it. It just doesn't make it one of my favorite games ever (even though I thought it was better than A LOT of retail games that came out in 2012) and maybe point n' click games isn't really my favorite style of gameplay. Now if you excuse me, I am going to board up my house before all of you come to kick my butt

So urban. I started playing it earlier today. I got it from a friend. I completed the first episode and I can already tell this will be one of my favorite games. Though, the horror genre isn't for me... It scares me. xD Also I get why this is seen as a movie moreso than a game. The same happened to Heavy Rain. Though, it is most definitely a game. You choose what happens in the story. You choose the ending. I suppose you can call it an interactive drama - that's how the voice actor of Lee Everett called it. |

Well I doubt you will be disappointed as it's a quality game, but it does take a bit mental strength to play the game. It's designed to upset you.

If you can handle scary games that is. It has a few jumpy moments- well for me, and I don't like zombie games or horror for that matter. Other than that, be ready to have a lot of feels. P: |
