Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	It's oval shape spans from one side to another, approximately 250 feet in length, width exceeds about 95 feet, allowing for plenitude with space to maneuver. The surface it self, tends to be uneven with mostly sand, with an rather thin layer of concrete around the center. Yet it's ancient architecture haven't exactly survived harsh winters and time it self, and thus our fighters will have enough memorizing where to step, to avoid certain mishaps. Certain obstacles has been specifically made for this tournament only, providing decent cover opportunities, such as, medium sized wall, partly damaged, nearby each entrance. Rocks situated at the center like a clock, without numbers three, six, nine and twelve included. The round of events what will unfold throughout the round will make out in an shifting weather cycle. Beginning at first light, at first sunlight, perhaps giving one or the other, a slight benefit of having it directed towards them. Upon round six, clouds will emerge, and upon the seventh round rain will pour down, until round fourteen when clouds will scatter, introducing the beginning of a slow darkness covering our combatants. Stands are situated on the north and southern side. Situated fairly high to avoid an unfortunate bloodshed, as what comes beneath them, are dangerously obvious. The vampire made his way into the area. It looked too similar to his home, or rather where he use to live. It brought back memories of a time when he didn't know he was a vampire. Shaking these thoughts aside he looked up at the sky, sensing the air pressure and feeling that the course of the weather would change soon. Something felt abnormal though, he couldn't pin point what it was, but this place had a unnatural feel to it. The fact that this place could barely handle the rough touches of winter was the least of his worries. Harsh winters meant harsh winds. This could go over well. He then noticed the rocks in clock formation. Maybe this was the odd feeling he was getting. Did this symbolize something to come, perhaps why the air pressure seems to abnormal? Regardless, he had a fight to tend to. "Lunar... Come forth..." Upon speaking those words Mev was expecting his nanobot to make his appearance. Lunar didn't show. Mev could think of two reason for this. One, he was already here. Two, he was undergoing a transformation. It was the latter, seeing as the air pressure caused Moon Blade to transform into his 'adult' form. "My master..." Lunar spoke, floating next to Mev. Instead of being a Moon Blade he was now a Blue Knight. The difference was his voice, which was a bit deeper, his character, now more serious, and his physical appearance. Everything else was the same. "So, you sense it too..." Mev comments, knowing Lunar could sense when a storm was coming, thus his body changes. Mev adjusted his sunglasses, not even wanting to look at the sun. Too much sunlight was coming in, he'd have to deal with it until the clouds blocked it or he staid in the shade. However, he just tucked his hands in his pockets and waited for his opponent.

Bag over his shoulder, whistling a dainty tune, and observing the arena as if he was sightseeing. This wasn't the first time his relaxed demeanor had gotten him into trouble, but he wasn't going to stress himself out before the fight even began. The warm sun set itself on the ancient battleground where Combo prepared himself for combat. With his eyebrow raised, the fighter observed his opponent. His opponent seemed to be related to whatever tried to force itself onto Raelean. Seeing as he couldn't get his hands on whoever that was, this guy would have to do. "I met your brother!" Combo exclaimed is a joyous tone as he casually tossed his bag onto the sandy arena floor. "Yeah, cool guy. He pretty much tried to rape my friend... I'm not too happy about that..." His voice hardened. Not only this, but his feet began to glow a light blue color. The sand around his feet began to ruffle and vibrate, as if the minuscule grains of earth were scurrying away from this blue light. As the fighter spoke the words, "Pedes Celer...", his feet burst into a light blue aura. Already bracing himself, Combo loaded his energy for a boost in speed. Combo's sharp nature began to kick in as well. "That thing beside him... By it's appearance, he must use it offensively. It's limits can't be too great, but if I can eliminate that, I can easily cripple his attack force. If I could bring him to a close-range battle, this match will be easy. I need to do some sizing up first.." Combo wasn't too steadfast. He didn't want to approach his opponent haphazardly. So with his speed increased and ready for evasion, the fighter kept himself calm for the battle at hand. Left Hand - Default Right Hand - Default Left/Right Foot - Celer - Speed Increase

So his brother was trying to 'rape' his friend, big deal. Just because they're related doesn't mean Mev was the one that did it. Either way, if the vampire could push the situation, maybe he can make this fight interesting. However, instead of replying back, Mev simply shrugged casually. His entire demeanor spoke of how he couldn't careless what happened or what his brother did. Not like it matter to him anyways. Seeing as Combo just made his shoes look flashy and waited, Mev took this as a hint that he wouldn't attack first. "He fears you, master... How pathetic..." "I'll ask that you no comment on this body anymore." Mev replied to Lunar, to which the nanobot simply nods his head, or body, to confirm this. With that set in stone, Mev slowly walked towards Combo, keeping his hands in his pocket. Lunar floated along next to him, both of them keeping their eyes on Combo. Well, Lunar was. It was hard to tell where Mev was looking with his sunglasses on. Mev got about seven feet away from Combo, to which he stopped and simply just stared. He pivoted his body, having his left shoulder face Combo was he simply stood there. His face was pointed in the same direction his body was, yet as for Lunar, he kept his eyes on Combo. "I enjoy a good game of chess... The beginning is normally slow, but it sets the stage for the rest of the game..." With that said, Mev remained still and simply waited. "Its your turn to move..." [Round 2]

It was almost insulting how his opponent approached him in such a nonchalant manner. For defensive coverage, he decided to activate his Manus Contego to avoid any damage to his hands. However, his hands still sat at the side of his body while the flaring green aura enveloped both of Combo's hands. His opponent was poised as if he didn't care. But whatever was going through his head, Combo knew that his accusations were starting to piece together. The vampiric creature seemed to have a reliance on the smaller creature floating along side him, whose eye refused to stray from Combo. If it was the attacking threat, it would be best to start with it. Hopefully their perception was lacking, or his first attack wouldn't fair so well. But there was so much more to his analysis. Could he possibly palm the creature and distance them? His Contego would keep his hand from suffering any damage the minuscule opponent could dish out. It would be possible for the multi-striking combatant to snatch it and easily dash away. But if it could be commanded from a distance, it'd be too big of a risk. Hopefully it's damage threshold was low instead. He wanted his strike to be a surprise, so announcing it would raise their awareness. In a blast of speed, Combo drifted behind the small, floating creature in less than a mere second thanks to Pedes Celer. For his attack, he launched a quick but simple jab for the floating blue enigma. The energy surge was enough to strike six times if his strike could connect. If not, his stance and Pedes Celer would quickly evade a retaliation. Left/Right Hand(Manus) - Contego - Defense Increase Left/Right Foot(Pedes) - Celer - Speed Increase

Doubtful, however his opponent was thinking of something. Looking at the corner of his eyes he noticed Combo's hands. They were similar to his feet, portraying that glowing effect. However, Mev simply stood there and did nothing. Finally Mev's senses went off. The guy had moved, a bit fast for his liking but he could sense where he'd end up. Mev was only partly right as his reflexes kicked in. It figures Lunar would be the perfect decoy, to which a strong rush of wind would burst towards Combo the moment he attacked Lunar, as got close to Mev for that matter. Should this wind-push-attack hit him from such a close distance, Combo would wind himself shoved a few good feet back. Even if his opponent managed to leap backwards the wind would still push him but not as hard. Mev's left hand was out of his pocket. Or rather, all of his fingers expect his thumb. He needed to direct the current wind flow, and sadly he can't just direct it with his eyes. Because it wasn't wind he created on his own, the shove-of-wind wouldn't knock him flat on his back. It would simply blow him back. Also, this was an illusion Mev discovered. To combo, it would look like a wind force-field was surrounded Mev. However, should he think this, Combo would figure out that it wasn't the same for Lunar. The nanobot was pounded on and sent several feet back until it face planted to the ground. It remained there, not moving and simply just staying there. Much like nanobot, Mev simply stood there, seeing how good Combo's evasion skills were. As well, the last thing anyone would expect would be a rush of wind hitting them the moment they got near their opponent. Mev mentally smirked in his mind. He was dealing with a speedster, a fighter class he had control over. Something was telling him that there was more to Combo than speed. He'd find out soon enough. After a few moments, Mev casually turned his body. Instead of facing his side to Combo, his whole body was facing him now. Once again, it was his turn to move. [Round 3]

With his footing placed in a proper position for evasion, he leapt off of his foot into the air. Pedes Celer increased his speed but he wasn't faster than wind sadly. However, the harmless air current carried his jump of evasion further. A swift, mid-air backflip would land Combo safely onto the granulated earth. The fighter skid to a halt in the grainy sand and quickly put his mind back to analyzing. "Did he cause that gust of wind?" he thought, not allowing himself to be thrown off of his 'game'. "It's a strong force, good for distancing. He can manipulate it quick too, so it'll be hard to attack him if he bends it well. But if I can stay away from objects, there's no way he can hurt me with just wind, so that's good. But..." His sharp mind pieced together a plan well. This plan would be worthless if he couldn't get those sunglasses off of his opponent's face though. With a small smirk, Combo turned his hat and placed forward and in front of his eyes. Then, he ran wide. Before rushing towards the opposing combatant, he positioned the sun to face him. Combo was able to perform another drifting maneuver to move himself behind the vampiric combatant. Thanks to this, the sun was now behind Combo. This time he wasn't throwing a punch, but instead was reaching to snatch the sunglasses right off of the wind-bending specimen. Left/Right Hand(Manus) - Contego - Defense Increase Left/Right Foot(Pedes) - Celer - Speed Increase

The vampire had a notion that Combo would be going for another sneak attack from behind. He didn't need his reflexes to tell him that, he just didn't know he'd actually do it back to back. Either way, the moment Combo moved was the moment he set himself into Mev's trap. A white light quickly flashed as Mev leaped forward. Using the wind current Mev's speed double, dodging Combo as he held within his hand his sword, which was Lunar and the result of the flash of white light. The thing about having your own nanobot was that it was connected to you. So summoning it into it's sword form always released itself into the owner's hand. Lucky for Mev Lunar wasn't knocked away too far for him to summon his sword. In mid-leap Mev spun round while moving away from Combo and preformed Lunar's Waning Moon attack. The spirit attack that was shaped like a moon crescent hollowed towards Combo while Mev continued to use the wind current to get some distance from his foe. Unlike his previous wind attack, this Waning Moon attack would not only knock Combo back but hurt as well. Depending how close Combo was he'd be knocked back nine feet away if he was only a foot away from Mev. Even though it wont cut him, it would deliver a nice blow. Sliding to a halt Mev stood to his full height as he tucked his left thumb into his pocket while gripping his sword firmly in his right hand. Once again he remained standing still, positioning his right shoulder towards Combo as if showing off his sword while Lunar's eye, which was the hilt, glared upon his opponent. Mev and Lunar simply waited again, on the result of their attack and what he'd do next. [Round 4]

Utilizing his Manus Contego, and with his arm already extended, he was easily able to negate any punishing force of the vampiric combatant's attack. Too bad his defensive stature couldn't keep him from being knocked back due to the force of the wind. Combo was also unsuccessful in depriving his opponent of his sunglasses. His opponent was poised for another counter attack. "A counterattack...?" Then it hit him. His opponent was purposely waiting for him to attack and then countering in a precise way. He utilized the wind to compose himself and stay focused between attacks. This broke Combo's flow of fighting, which was aggressive and pressuring. Looks like Combo would have to turn up the heat. So he took off for his opponent once more. Running a quick lap around him, he closed the gap and swung his fist for his opponent's face. He left his other hand around mid-height ready to deflect the odd sword the opposing force had spawned. Combo positioned himself so the rocks at the center of the arena were behind him.

Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	He hasn't figured it out yet, which was a bit shocking since Mev have faced 'wiser' beings than Combo. Each time Mev positioned himself he was placing himself in the wind's favor. His face always faced the way the wind was blowing. Having said that, the wind current changed a lot, and would change more the closer it reached night time in this arena. For now Mev was taking a defensive approach to this fight, allowing Combo to make his move while he countered. This wouldn't work for very long though, the wind was becoming a bit harder to follow. However at this point in time, Combo decided to make a frontal attack. An unwise choice it would seem. Using the wind current he pushed himself forward, which was also push against Combo and slow him down, allowing Mev to properly counter his speedy foe. Mev preformed Lunar's Thunderous Three attack, however, he also leaped towards Combo because of the wind's current and the little 'push' he added from the wind. He decided a punch wouldn't be that bad, thinking if he completely dodged the attack his chances of landing the Thunderous Three attack would decrease. He didn't know he could be hit several times just from one punch, just like Combo wouldn't expect three sword strikes form one move. Either way, Mev used the wind current to his advantage and raise the speed of his attack, aiming his strikes accordingly; one at his thigh, one at his stomach, and the last one above the left side of his ribs. Its doubtful Combo can escape or block all three when they both were moving pretty fast towards each other. Just like it was doubtful for Mev to dodge his fist, which pounded on his shoulder about five times before forcing Mev to spin pass Combo thanks to his momentum and slid on his feet. By then his attack was already unleashed and would either hit or miss if Combo didn't try to black all three. Of course, Mev was planning to continue his attack once his sliding came to a halt, as the wind force that pushed Mev towards Combo would slow down Combo's speed a bit, allowing Mev a chance to attack form behind. However, grunting lowly and letting his arm hang in pain Mev took this chance to get more distance between them and unleashed his Waning Moon attack wildly. He wasn't really aiming it, he was simply launching it to get Combo away from him while he tried to endure the pain in his shoulder. He didn't want to clutch his shoulder, trying to take the pain and not show it to his foe. Another sharp pain was brought to his head as he turned to put himself in the wind's favor. His sunglasses... They weren't on him. He turned away from the sun and faced against the wind, giving Combo his left shoulder as his eyes blurred a bit. Combo's punch and his momentum knocked his sunglasses off... Plan B was in order, and Plan B was never good for his opponent. [Round 5] Edited by L Dragon, Feb 10 2013, 02:03 PM.

The electrical surge in the air instantly alerted Combo. He wasn't expecting the speed of the thrusts, however. He grit his teeth in pain as the feeling in his leg began to tense and heavy. Movement would definitely become a problem. Now fully alert, his Contego defense was easily defended with his arms in position. Even against the swirling wind, Combo had positioned himself to springboard off of the rocks after his opponent to keep the momentum. But the paralyzing effects of the sword strike wasn't going to allow that. What WAS being allowed though, were multiple crescent strikes being hurled towards him. Stretching his arms out, a multi-hexagonal shell of energy formed in front of the paralyzed fighter as he knelt down. The lunar strikes were deflected by the fortified energy while Combo waived the pain of the paralyzation. "Wait a sec..." Combo thought to himself. "His sunglasses!" Combo successfully got his sunglasses off! The next part really intrigued him though. Mev had turned towards Combo to fight, but quickly squinted and looked away. He knew there had to be a reason for those sunglasses. It was completely obvious, him being a vampire. Combo had read Earth's literature on the legend of vampires. Vampires didn't like the sun. This became evident when his vampiric opponent avoided the sun just now. Quickly looking into the sky, he caught note of where the sun was. Unfortunately, clouds were slowly moving in overhead. He'd have to take advantage of this while he could. "He can't see well in sunlight!" Leon screamed in his head. As the static around his leg began to dissipate, Combo quickly ran out from the wild sword attack's path. Positioning the sun behind him, Combo continued to rush the vampire. He kept his body low to the ground as he charged but upon his approach, the fighter hardened his stance and began firing quick jabs for Mev, all sporting four strikes with each punch.

Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	Mev's idea of playing 'chess' was over now that his sunglasses were off. However, it seems that some clouds were making its way to cover the sun. This was good. However, Mev could smell rain on its way. That might not be good for both of them. A speed fighter tends to make more mistakes when the area around them is wet. As for Mev, the wind currents would be all over the place, which would make dodging a bit harder against a speed fighter since he is able to keep up with the winds help. If the wind suddenly changes in mid movement his speed decreases. On the other hand, more wind equaled stronger wind energy attacks. Combo advance, to which Mev simply countered. He rushed his counterattack though, making his attack a bit earlier than it was suppose to be. Mev, with his back facing the wind's current flow, leaped back as moved out of the way as he lashed out his sword towards Combo. He launched it like a saw while he simply moved along with the wind's current. It carried him farther than he wanted as his body swerved in a snake-like pattern before his feet were planted on the ground. Lunar, his sword, was aimed for the center of Combo's chest. Should Combo not be able to evade it would pierce his chest. Even if it meant loosing Lunar for the moment Mev had a plan going. His right eye twitched as the sun light was shining on the right side of his body now. He didn't move though, as the wind current was flowing in his favor. The front of his body was pointing in the direction of the wind, for now anyways. He felt it change directions twice quickly, then settle back in his favor. His shoulder was easing up, but it still felt painful to move it a lot. He put both hands behind his back, as if standing like a proper gentle. Hopefully his little maneuver would at least do a little damage.

With his hand protected by Contego, he snatched the blade in mid-air and threw it to the left of Mev. The blade had a mind of it's own so he wanted to keep it in his sight but also not be near it or give it back to him. The blade could easily launch an attack of his sight that would catch him off guard. Continuing his approach, he moved back into position with the sunlight behind him. This would be his last chance to take advantage of the sun before the clouds closed in on it. Where ever the sun was shining, his eyes would respond negatively. Keeping his body low to the ground, Combo re-confronted his opponent with a quick uppercut.

At this point the clouds were doing a good job covering the sun, just in time for the wind to kick up. Mev leaped forward and managed to dodge again, his speed doubling thanks to the wind. However, the wind had other plans for him as it suddenly rushed him side ways, right pass Combo as Mev turned his body around to face his opponent's back. Mev quickly planted his feet on the ground in a bit of a panic, as that wasn't his plan. Had Combo waited a few seconds later Mev would of leaped right into that uppercut. Ignoring the drops of water that were slowly coming down, Mev had one chance and he needed to pull this off smoothly. A rush of wind whirled around him as he lifted his right arm a bit. He thrust his right arm out as a gush of wind hollowed towards combo. Unlike last time, this surge of wind should lift Combo off of his feet and carry him in a few feet away in a random direction, something the vampire was counting on. He rushed forward towards his sword that was stabbed into the ground and grabbed the hilt while continuing his momentum. He leaps into the and lashed out several Waning Moon attacks in random directions while the wind carried him in a random pattern. There was a point to this as Mev lands on the ground and quickly ducked behind one of the ruined walls. Mev realized he was now soaking wet from the rain. Being wet made him heavier than normal, which means he'd have to lighten the load. Whiling behind this wall he tore off his shirt and hung it on the corner of the wall, to make it seem like he was still hiding there, when in fact he had already moved to another ruined wall while keeping himself low to the ground. The darkness the clouds brought was bringing out Mev's vampire side his, his hunting side. This was no longer a fighting match,this was Mev's hunting grounds... [Round 7 - Rain]

But it's not like there were any rules to the fighting. Regardless, when Mev began to whip up a whirlwind, Combo quickly snatched a handful of sand form off the ground. Throwing it at an angle into the wind, he was hoping the wind would scatter the clump of sand and carry it into his eyes. Dirty, yes, but whatever it took to win. The vampire ducked into cover so fast, he didn't even realize if it worked before the wind carried him off. Combo quickly ducked behind one of the large, center rocks of the arena to escape the wind blasts hurled at him. "I'm getting tired of this wind..." he thought. While in cover, he continued to duck behind the rocks until the fighter made it behind a wall. He'd need some time to transfer his energy, his sentient body couldn't handle such a large energy surge. "Manus Arma..." he spoke, shifting his left hand to Arma, which would increase his strength. In the mean time, he peaked his head around the corner to make sure the vampiric combatant wouldn't rush him.

After all, it was flowing in one direction, which was towards Combo. So if anything would happen, Combo would had thrown dirty into his own eyes. Then again, with the amount of wind force that Mev used, it was highly unlikely he would catch anything but a cold from all this rain. Mev's plan was being formed in his mind as he looked at Lunar for a moment. The wind was the only sound as Mev remained ducked behind the wall. Combo was somewhere around this place, it was time to draw him out. Mev flung his sword towards another yet slightlt larger ruined wall. Once Lunar stabbed into the ground behind the wall Mev waited for a moment. Lunar's eye shifted to see his master, to which Mev give him a nod and he knew what to do. A flash of light was released as Lunar returned back to his nanobot form. As Lunar was transforming back Mev managed to move behind a different while, using the wind as his speed boost. Mev had to cling into the wall once it reach it because of how fast he moved. Clearly there was more wind whirling about than before. Lunar on the other hand knew when he was being set-up as a decoy. So, using his speed, Lunar started to move from wall to wall. He wasn't trying to hide, he wanted Combo to know he was coming for him, wherever he was. The nanobot quickly made his way to the rocks in the center, to which he reached the first one and kept moving on since Combo wasn't there. After checking the third one Lunar finally came upon Combo's rock. However, the nanobot flew over the rock and dropped down in front of guy without even knowing it. The problem with having one eye is that your vision isn't all that great. Also, this was Lunar's way of getting tired of playing hide-and-seek. He didn't mind Mev playing the game, but didn't like that he had to play as well. "This is tiresome..." Lunar spoke softly, unaware that Combo was actually right behind. He scanned the area, trying to see if he could spot some movement, like his head poking out. Mev on the other hand kept his eye on his nanobot. His eyes narrowed as Lunar decided to give up the 'chase' and rest while scanning the area. From Mev's point of view he couldn't see Combo behind the rock. Mev would stay there until he could spot Combo. [Round 8 - still raining]
