Josh was the first one to enter the arena, as he looked up, he saw the roof looked like a dome, as he looked ahead, he saw a fountain, he could see tile patterns on the floor and pillars in the distance, along with torches for lighting, he was wondering if his opponent was ready... |

Polemistis had sent forth a diminutive punch as well. What he was mostly relying on was his sheer size to deal that little extra damage as his arms just didn't posses any more strength. Since his punch had to be thrown at a downward trajectory, gravity would be working in his favor. The second his would hit, he himself was stuck with Josh's fist. He found the effects to be minor and realized how worn out the hedgehog was. It still caused him to stagger backwards a couple feet given his condition and he looked to see how his opponent reacted. |

Josh was also hit in the face, but it didn't seem very strong, as he had staggered back too, but he had to finish the fight and then threw another punch with the same strength he did last time... |

Polemistis endured the punch, fighting against himself to remain in one spot. Digging his clawed talons into the ground assisted with this. He could feel it in Josh's strikes; he was practically finished. Even in his heavily bewildered state, the hedgehog's punches did little to affect him. It made his state slightly worst, but nothing he couldn't handle. He had to give the hedgehog admiration for putting him in such a damaged state. It had been many years since his body refused to move from the sheer pain like it did now. The Griffin crossed his arms on front of his chest and looked down at Josh. "I must admit Josh; you have done much better then I originally expected. You initially appeared weak and undisciplined but I now see I was foolish to believe such things. Now is the time for me to finally finish this." the warrior stated sternly. He placed the remainder of his energy into one final strike; one final chance for victory. This only went as far as quickly pushing both arms above his head. He interlocked his pawed fingers and with a loud shout, he sent it down with tremendous force, using both gravity and his remaining energy into the attack hoping to render the hedgehog unconscious . (Well I suppose one can only delay the inevitable. Congrats on the victory Josh, it was a well done match.) Polemistis had endured far too much damage and his body had reached its limits. He dropped to his knees then arched forward and and he extended his wobbly arms to prevent a face plant into a pool of his own blood. His breathing increased heavily and his vision began blackening further to the point he can barely see the ground less then a foot away. His final attack had appeared to do little to his foe which was quite perplexing to the Griffin. It should have buried him into the ground at most yet he remained standing as if nothing happened. Nevertheless, Polemistis had enjoyed this match and it was his first challenge in many years. He has come to learn one cannot have continuous victories. He hadn't faced defeat in some time and with every defeat, he would learn something to utilize in his next battle. He acknowledged his mistakes in this battle and should he encounter a foe like Josh once more, such mistakes wouldn't be made. His white feathered eyelids fluttered briefly before the mighty warrior finally succumbed to his injuries. A spurt of blood poured from his beak and his large body slumped forward then stretched out across the ground. He lied there motionless and his breathing became faint. The loss of blood was causing his body to rapidly shut down and his injuries were more grave then he made them appear. Josh was victorious in this match and the Griffin was satisfied despite his loss. He fought to his fullest and that was all he wished to do. |

(ok here's the finishing post from me) Josh knew he had won, he felt pain all over his body but looked down at the griffin, he knew he had to help him, but he hasn't got a clue where to take him in his condition, and he wasn't even sure if he could carry him in this state... |
