Josh was the first one to enter the arena, as he looked up, he saw the roof looked like a dome, as he looked ahead, he saw a fountain, he could see tile patterns on the floor and pillars in the distance, along with torches for lighting, he was wondering if his opponent was ready... |

Josh knew that he and the griffin were in the same amount of pain, so he said "same with you...I think we should stop..." and then tried his best to stand in front of him... |

Polemistis knew he was right; his body would not allow any movement. Even with the hedgehog standing right in front of him, he couldn't move to attack. He winced in pain as he fought every muscle in his body to get to his feet. His legs were still wobbly as expected and he had even almost fallen over multiple times. He looked down at the hedgehog and gave a sigh. "Unfortunately, that's not how things work. You and I remain standing and as such, a victor has yet to be decided." the hybrid remarked, clenching his paws into fists. |

Polemistis raised an eyebrow at the hedgehog. Did he just ask to take the victory? Such a question seemed extremely uncanny for the Griffin, but given how things were, Josh was probably just as in bad condition as he was if not worst. Even making fists proved to be difficult for the hybrid so he wasn't even sure if he can execute a simple attack. With these things in mind, the question seemed legitimate but Polemistis disregarded it to an extent. "The winner of this battle is not of our own decision." he said sternly, his arms crossing for a short time. At least that wasn't too difficult. He took a few staggering steps backwards away from Josh, careful not to fall in the crater. "We will continue to fight until one of us drops." he continued, assuming the best fighting stance he could, which wasn't much given his condition. "I will not simply hand you victory, Josh. You can continue if you wish, the choice is yous." he offered. |

Josh then said "I was testing..." and held tight onto his blade, despite the pain and the condition he was in, it was clear he was in bad condition, but the griffin seemed to be in much worse condition... |

"I was hoping so." he retorted with a smirk. With the fight back underway, he realized he'd have to rely on defense. Charging at someone with a sword was foolish especially considering the current circumstances. "Now come at me with all your might." he said, gesturing him to attack. |

Polemistis' entire body was growing numb from the pain. He slowly raised his shaking arms in front of his face to defend himself. Hopefully with his paws in this position, he could get a few punches out once he got the chance. |

Josh aimed the sword at his head, but noticed how weak he was now, he had one instinct to kill the griffin, but another to let him live and to suicide...he couldn't think which one he should take... |

"Why do you hesitate?" the hybrid questioned somberly. Finding this a good opportunity as any, the avian feline sent his fist to Josh's hand in an effort to disarm him. He was mostly allowing gravity to throw this punch as his arm would not be able to on its own. |

"You lack discipline." the Griffin stated dully. His body almost fell forward with his last punch but he managed to straighten his body out. His talons gripped the handle of the sword and slid it across the floor behind him. Of course given the lack of strength in his legs, it was barely a foot away from him. "What do you expect to do now?" he questioned. Not even with the Griffin's formidable strength, he wasn't even sure if he can land a finishing blow. He was curious to see how Josh intended to finish this. |

"I have an instinct to kill, but I also have an instinct to let you live..." Josh said, then tried to get his sword again, then said "and I'll have to regretfully go with the kill instinct...", but felt a bit sickly about doing it to someone who's on the verge of death... |

Polemistis stepped in Josh's way of his sword. He knew his chances for victory would be slim of he got a hold of his weapon. "This senseless banter grows rather tiresome. I insist we finish this now." he said, taking slow and unbalanced steps towards the hedgehog. His body felt as if it weighed a ton. His eyes began to suffer as well as he was seeing double when looking at his orange opponent. Also, despite the afternoon sun shining in, his vision had blackened to the point it appeared like nightfall. Things were also muffled and all he could really hear was his winded breathing. He left a trail of blood behind as he continued towards Josh. His entire body had streaks of the liquid running along it. Everywhere he stepped he left a puddle of various depths which depended on how long he stayed in one place. "If you do not end this right this second, I will." he warned, narrowing his eyes at Josh, his paws in loose fists. |

even though Josh's vision was blurry, he attempted to hit the griffin with a punch, if it did land however, it wouldn't hurt much because of how weak Josh was right now from the combat... |
