Josh was the first one to enter the arena, as he looked up, he saw the roof looked like a dome, as he looked ahead, he saw a fountain, he could see tile patterns on the floor and pillars in the distance, along with torches for lighting, he was wondering if his opponent was ready... |

A confident grin stretched across the Griffin's beak as he watched the clone dissipate. Upon hearing his foe speak, the hybrid shifted his body to an upright position. His wings occasionally flapped to keep him airborne and away from Josh and his firearms. His arms were crossed yet again and his piercing golden eyes stared down at the hedgehog. "Great. My body had grown rather stiff from my slumber in the lobby. Can you send up another? Those training dummies are of great assistance." he remarked, sounding brash yet stern, a strange combination. |

"how about you get moving now?!" Josh then shouted back, the shadow mine set to explode any minute, he also created a weak shadow clone which doesn't take up a charge this time but makes him without a weapon... |

"I prefer to remain here in the air. Your firearms are much of an annoyance." he replied, moving slowly to the left and right. He was watching Josh like a hawk, well more like an eagle in his case. He was too preoccupied with the clone to notice the Shadow Mine set to explode. |

the mine then blew up, taking a fair chunk out of the pillar and making it unstable for the griffin to stay on for long, Josh then moved back a fair distance and prepared his UZI to fire, if he flies again... |

Polemistis would let out a surprised shout as he found the pillar he was close to began to crumble. He was shocked at such a reckless move; he could break the support for the roof and have it crash down. Seeing as how Josh was readying his gun, the Griffin couldn't wait around for him to fire. He began the method of flying around in circles like he did before. He needed to think of a way to get close without getting shot. Once he cleared the distance, victory would be assured for the hybrid. |

Josh then put his gun away, he knew that he won't be able to hit him while he's flying around that fast, so he shadow lifted one of the boulders that fell off the pillar and threw it at the griffin, but that made him have only one more charge left in his dark gem before he had to stick to weak moves and using his sword and gun... |

Polemistis stopped to face the projectile that was launched at him. With no time to evade, he readied his fist. A spirited shout would be heard from the hybrid as he sent his large paw towards the boulder. A cloud of dust would be formed and multiple small fragments of rock would fall to the ground as Polemistis punched through it. With sore knuckles, he glared at Josh as he slowly descended to the ground. His wings were beginning to ache and they needed a rest. His taloned feet found themselves on the mosaic flooring. "You're just full of surprises." he told the hedgehog with a smug grin. "Now how about you put your toys away and face me like a true warrior." he stated with a huff. |

"about time you landed, now let's make sure I finish this properly, and I was surprised you seemed like a cakewalk to me..." Josh said and drew out his sword, the griffin wouldn't have seen anything like it even though he's been around for ages, but both of them had forgotten about the other clone Josh made, which was ready to grab the griffin if he tried to fly away again... |

Polemistis ogled briefly at the sword. It was definitely an interesting weapon, something he hasn't seen before. He was curious on how effective it was. "That's much better." he said, taking casual steps towards the hedgehog. His paws were opening and closing into tight fists. His tail and wings twitched about as well. The Griffin had long learned how to effortlessly use every part of his body as a weapon. He could even perhaps deflect a couple strikes from that sword with his tail alone. The closer he got to Josh, the more of a fighting stance he placed himself in. He was focusing primarily on defense and was closely watching his foe or any movement. |

Polemistis simply replied with a smirk. Seeing as how his opponent wished to be on the defensive, the Griffin decided to see just how powerful such defenses were. He dashed for Josh with his claws at the ready. Once he got close enough, he would attack with a barrage of slow yet powerful slashed, each of which would cause heavy damage but could be easily avoidable if the hedgehog was fast enough. |

Josh quickly blocked them with his sword, but missed one and got hit, but tried his best to ignore the pain and then countered with a slice, if it hits it could hurt the griffin badly... |

Polemistis had kept an eye out for any notion of attacking from the hedgehog. The sword strike came at him and he couldn't find the time to jump back. Instead of allowing damage to his body, the hybrid shifted his body to the side and allowed the sword to carve through his left wing. He winced finding his feathered appendage being highly damaged and tinted red from blood surfacing from it. The damage was more then he anticipated and he wouldn't be flying any time soon. With his body still having it's side facing his advisory, Polemistis attempted to quickly coil is strong and durable tail around Josh's wrist that held the sword. If successful, he would apply a series of twists to force the weapon from his hand. |

it was successful, Josh's sword was twisted out of his hand despite the tight grip, but Josh brought out his firearm and backed off a fair distance shouting "this is too easy..." and aiming his gun at him... |

Polemistis looked down at the sword for a short moment as he was tempted to use it. He had a vast knowledge of weapons such as this and it could really be used to his advantage. But then again, there was a reason he hadn't wielded a weapon in many years; he preferred using his body's natural tools. After additional thinking, his tailed coiled around the sword and hoisted it towards the hybrid where it remained within his tail. Seeing Josh withdraw his firearm again, the avian feline retreated back to the pillar where he dropped the sword and pressed his back against the stone structure. "Resorting once more to your pitiful weapon I see. Fair enough." he called out, listening carefully for any movements as the hedgehog was out of his line of sight. |
