Josh was the first one to enter the arena, as he looked up, he saw the roof looked like a dome, as he looked ahead, he saw a fountain, he could see tile patterns on the floor and pillars in the distance, along with torches for lighting, he was wondering if his opponent was ready... |

Moments later, a large Griffin made his way through the hallway. His golden rigid eyes scanned the interior of such an extravagant arena. There wasn't much to work with and the ceiling wouldn't allow much room for flight, but he was already planning on ways to capitalize it. What was more important was his opponent and the hybrid turned his attention to the orange hedgehog who was a fair distance away. "I suppose you are ready?" Polemisitis asked, shifting his body into a fighting stance. His beak twisted to a determined grin as he was ready to analyze his opponent's tactics. |

"I suppose you are ready?" Josh replied to him "I am, are you?" and then held the handle on his blade tightly, it was sort of clear that he was going to fight up close and personal there, but he always liked to use some shadow mines to try and make sure he doesn't get around easily... |

"Yes." the hybrid simply replied. He shuffled his taloned feet and clenched his large paws into fists. While he was an unarmed fighter, he was not to be underestimated against Josh's sword as well as his firearms the Griffin has yet to see. Polemistis bent his white feathered knees and leaped high into the air, flapping his large ivory wings. He made his way to the domed ceiling and stopped a few meters away. He then began to fly in circles at high speeds, following the circular shape of the room. His eyes remained on Josh and once he saw an opening, he would use his momentum and swoop in for a strike. |

upon seeing the griffin fly, Josh had a thought and created a Shadow copy, which still tries to get the griffin while the real Josh hides and loads up his gun, ready to fire and shoot down... |

Polemistis would slow down slightly to get a better look at what the hedgehog was doing. He raised a feathered eyebrow as he watched Josh form a clone then withdraw a firearm. Diving in now would be foolish. He needed to find a way to get close without filling his body full of bullets. His wings induced a couple heft flaps and he increased his speed even further to the point he'd be a blue of brown fur and white feathers. He was also travelling at a slight downward angle so whenever he saw an opening, it would be easier to strike. |

noticing how fast he was going, Josh created another clone, who had a gun, and aimed it upward at the griffin, he just needed a little time to be able to take him down to the ground and give him a serious pounding... |

Seeing as how his tactic was getting this fight nowhere, the Griffin came to a gradual stop and approached the center of the ceiling. He positioned his body upside=down and dug his clawed talons into the ceiling, planting himself in that spot and allowing his wings to rest. "You lack discipline relying on such flippant weaponry." Polemistis taunted, crossing his arms in front of his chest and speaking loud enough so he could be heard from the distance. He have a disapproving nod of his head and let out a dismissive huff from his beak. His head was leaning up so he could watch Josh closely. |

"since you fly, I had to go Anti-Air here, so I'll make sure the copies are ready!" Josh said, then aimed his gun at the griffin, the copy with the gun started firing at him, while the copy with the sword prepared to slice him when he went down... |

The Griffin simply let out a smirk. The ornate pillars nearby would be of plenty use right now. Once the hedgehog clone took aim, Polemistis would detach himself and propel his body backwards with a couple a flaps from his wings. The bullets traveled up and the Griffin just barely managed to get behind the pillar before hearing multiple pangs. He knew he was in a tight spot right now. He couldn't even get close to Josh and he had no projectiles or anything to protect himself from the firearms. Patience was the key to victory sometimes and the hybrid was well aware of this. He had fought many battles in his extensive life. His only option was to wait until he ran out of ammunition. After the firing ceased, the Griffin would emerge from the now damaged pillar and plant himself in the same spot prior to the gunfire. "We can continue this frivolous process for some time if you prefer." he said, obviously not intimidated from Josh's guns. He was simply annoyed with them and they kept him away from the hedgehog. His tail twitched about and he had the urge to just strangle his foe with it; if only he could get close enough. |

Josh knew he was unable to be shot from there, so he had to shadow lift the clone with the sword up to him, his sword ready and blocking, and then he said "this fight's actually really easy!", with the clone's soulless eyes, it could creep out the griffin...

Polemistis watched in curiosity as one of the clones was being lifted up to him, somehow. Regardless of how strange that was, the hybrid decided to attack it head on, knowing he'd be able to handle the sword with little difficulties. He was unaffected by the soulless eyes as having been around for over 2,000 years, he had witnessed far more horrific things. Polemistis bent his knees and launched himself at the oncoming clone. His right paw was bawled into a tight fist and he was ready for a strike. If the Josh copy were to strike, the Griffin's swift and prehensile tail would be able to assist him |

Polemistis neared his target letting out his signature battle cry. Josh would hear a high-pitched eagle screech that ended with a low and deep lion growl. He sent his right fist forward in an underhanded strike aiming for his stomach. This was followed by his left wing thrusting forward in attempts to strike him in the facial region. Finally, his right knee was sent forth aiming for a similar area his fist went. All the while his tail was slowly making its way towards the wrist of the arm that wielded the sword. The fact he was able to execute multiple movements in such fluid movements while upside-down showed how much of a disciplined combatant the Griffin was |

The clone was easily destroyed, and upon the griffin's combo finishing, the clone liquidated in mid-air and fell down to the ground, Josh then shouted "things won't be that easy, griffin!" and then set a shadow mine on the pillar, but afterwards he checked his dark gem and noticed there are only 2 charges left in it already, so he'd best fight with his gun and sword for a bit...or create weak clones instead of strong ones... |
