Good vibes.
This thread is for little tricks you have to make the Sonic games easier, ones that yuo just feel the need to share. Myself, I have two.

1) In Chemical Plant Zone, the area with the rising water and the moving blocks can be easily skipped. On the lower path before it, there's a speed booster. Spindash through it, and jump on the first (or was it second?) bump, and you'll fly into the air, to the top of that section, skipping the rising water part.

2) The final boss of Sonic 4 Episode 1 has an exploit to make him easier. When he's beserk and he fires a fist at you, let the fist return to him. He'll do it a second time, and that's when you knock it back to him and deal damage to him. That way, when he flies up and lands, instead of hopping across the screen, he'll do the fist-launch thing again. Rinse and repeat.

Getting to the higher level in Metal Harbour: Now I know this is a very old trick, and the jury is still out on whether this should be considered a trick. But alas, people still have issues with it, so I am here to help. Once you reach the very last checkpoint and are hoping from platform to platform to get to the yellow brick road[ railing, stop at the beginning of the railing and instead of going forward, jump to the left. If you jump far enough you will land on the grey holding area for the rocket. Run left to a spring there and home attack it. That will take you to the higher level, keep running and use the boost pads to get to the rocket faster. Then home attack the robots you see (but do it quickly as you only have a few seconds to execute this), and once you are done, ring dash as soon as you see the line of rings and then rush to the last spring to get to the rocket.

Doing this will guarantee an A rank for you. Without doing this, the highest you could get was a B.
