Christmas is back again
|
After countless of hour's effort to reinstate the lobby, we can at last allow for our entrants to step on inside. The usual counter situated at the center, with two bartenders looking to serve drinks for the thirsty, and food for the hungry. Serve's a purpose seen as our combatants tend to vary in size and such a new room has been exclusively designed for those who wish to move around more openly, while yet have someone specifically serve out nutritious meals and the like. Each member are allowed to walk freely out in the outer yard, where I tend to observe each and ever individual who enters. But don't expect a handshake, I ain't never been much in favor of the mortal kinds. Now as for introductions.... What? It ain't my fault my other subordinates are late. Entertainment are meant to be in the arena, so do not think about making fuzz at the lobby. As we'll have a suitable location for up-starters like you. Exactly, we have our exclusive dungeon, and trust me, you don't wanna get your ass hauled down there. Welcome to the inter-round lobby! |

Oh, Fenroar reacts to the nanobot's taunts, as he turns and the lighting makes his face darker, with his red eyes clearly glaring at the nanobot. It says as it flies farther away. Though the blade is long and wide, slightly thin, Fenroar is surprisingly swinging it with ease. He could have easily blasted the nanobot out of the sky right now with his powers, but he didn't really want to show it in front of the contestants, wanting to keep his powers a surprise for right now. Of course, he did do something when he swatted it earlier. He sent some electricity through his hand, so when he swatted it earlier, the nanobot's master or whoever will receive a small but strong shock when he or she touches it, because of its metal skin. He barely used his electricity though, so it shouldn't do much anyway as it's just a small prank on his part, but he's only been here for a few minutes and is already having fun. It was then the tiger-striped caped and masked man stepped in, when Fenroar decided to sheath his sword back into its large case strapped to his back, kind of showing it off when he spins it back in there. "Guess I'll stop playing it around then," Fenroar said, slightly amused at all this. However, Fenroar then heard the meerkat speak up, the weird, showy-offy one with the maids and bodyguards, who's words weren't really necessary. If that's true, why are you hiding behind your maids and bodyguards then? Fenroar asked in his thoughts, becoming more amused at what has transpired. Of course, he didn't say anything, as adding fuel to the fire would go against what the masked man was trying to stop earlier. He'll wait to see what he says before stepping in. |

Claru rolled the table of his shoulder, the situation effectively defused for the time being. There wasn't any sense carrying around that much extra weight if he didn't have to. "I know enough about manners to know it ain't in good taste to pick fights in a crowded room" he said to the meerkat, "and to know that a proper gentleman doesn't try to rile up the guy keeping the peace." Yeah... This guy's got all the airs of high-class alright, but he's no 'gentleman', that's for sure. Bragging about how many folks he's killed; what's his deal anyway? It was strange. The other human had sheathed his sword, and the drone had fallen silent, but the tension still hadn't left the room. Claru's nerves were still buzzing, as if picking up on the resonance of a hundred violins played in unison. He tried to slow his breathing to purge the adrenaline still flowing through his system, to little effect. Something told him that this playboy rich kid was trouble. Not necessarily 'bad'... just trouble, the kind with a capital 'T'. |

"You assume too much, barbarian. I'm anything but gentle, and I'm more beast than man..." Mev replies, to which he smirked a bit as he fixed his attention back on the counter. "Indeed, I'm only proper... Nonetheless, don't let me stop you from playing with an object that is ten times smaller than you. I doubt you'll teach it anything new though. It seems fixed on causing trouble no matter where it goes... An unforgivable feat..." Mev's words became more serious, more sinister, more demon-like, even more so upon speaking his last three words. Lunar would of swallowed hard if he wasn't just a circular body. However, his eye shifted away from Mev rather quickly upon hearing his last few words. "Geez, what a buzz kill you guys are... I have some important things to do, ya know, whatever it is I'm suppose to do or something... See ya luggy... Later zappy..." With that said the nano-bot zipped off out of the lobby. Where he was going was a good question. However, Mev was too busy to care as the wolf that left before came back. "Sir, I have your ring..." He tells Mev, presenting him with a package. One female hedgehog took it and placed it in front of Mev, as if he wasn't going to grab it himself. "Want me to open it?" She asked, to which Mev simply shook his head. He stared at it and did nothing else. It was like he was debating is he wanted to open it or not. |

As the canine returned to the lobby, the tension Claru felt in the atmosphere faded. The stalemate of wills was broken, with neither side conceding victory to the other. After a moment of hesitation, Claru lifted the table once more, returned it to its original place and sat down with a sigh. Well... Will that bite me in the ass later, or will that be the last of it? he mused, Still, can't make a cake without breaking a few legs, so they say, so I suppose it's progress of one kind or another. Maybe. But, all that said and done... Things are definitely only going to get more and more interesting from here on out. |

"Huh?" Lifio said, turning his head to the side while he was waiting for one of the bartenders to get him an orange, to find out who questioned him. The fox noticed he was being stared at with by two males who looked like bodyguards, and two females in maids outfits with them close to a meerkat who faced the counter who looked rich. An awkward moment felt by, it was if being stared at like he had gone out into the snow wearing summer clothing or gone to a funeral wearing a clown costume. Whoever had spoken to him had called him "kid", which only highlighted how obviously young he was. It didn't really bother him much, as it was bound to have been pointed at some point anyway. Lifio started to assume that it was the meerkat who was talking to him, by making a rough guess that the bodyguard-like-men and the maids worked for him as he was rich-looking, so he could only make sense that he would speak even if he wasn't looking at him. "Lost?" Lifio began reply. "Um, no. I'm here for the tourname-" His reply was cut off by a commotion behind him and he swiftly turned around to see what was going on. Where he saw two humans and some sort of... robot thing? One of the humans was holding a table and standing between the other human, who was wielding a crimson red sword, and the machine and was going on something about manners. Were they trying to stop the two from fighting? "Did they get into an intense argument that went too far or something?" Lifio thought to himself. "I wonder what happened...." The nearby meerkat also seemed to be joining in on the argument too. However, not wanting to join in any of this, the vulpine decided it would be best to watch the event unfold in silence. That way, he wouldn't cause any more conflicts. But, the conflict quickly began to die down, with one of the humans sheathing the sword they had out and the robot flying off. The human that had been standing between them, walked over and placed the table back down, likely to where it was originally placed. Lifio turned back around to face the counter by now, the bartender had returned with the citrus fruit he had asked for and handed it to him. "Thank you!" He said cheerfully and bit into the orange, it's succulent and fresh juice filling his mouth with wonderful flavours as he chewed on the fruit and he began to walk away from the counter to grab a seat on one of the . Mev's eyes caught a bit of movement to his right. The 'kid' had walked away from the counter after obtaining his orange. He heard the kid's reply to his question though. He was in the tournament after all. "I'm sorry, sir. I've looked all over but we don't have any Shadowbanish Wine... Can I get you anything else?" The bartender tells him. Mev ignored the guy, which made him feel a bit annoyed more than uncomfortable. "Sir?" "White wine... With a hint or cherry juice streamed down the middle. Don't sir it." Mev tells him, to which the bartender looked at the meerkat for a moment before taking a step away from the counter. "Give it to the 'barbarian' sitting at the table he just set down..." The bartender looked confused at this request. "Your highness..." The porcupine comments. He was concerned by this, yet it wasn't his place to question his master. "The barbarian is waiting for his drink..." Mev comments to the bartender who still displayed a confused expression. "Right... I'll get on it." "Take one of my maids with you when you go. She'll explain the reason for this generous offer to him." The meerkat adds. The bartender simply nods his head and prepared the drink. Once he was done he nods towards the brown female hedgehog. She nods back and the two of them walked over to Claru. "*ahem* This drink is for you, sir. Complements goes to the meerkat sitting at the counter..." The bartender tells Claru. He nods, then leaves as the maid staid and smiled, bowing to greet the human and didn't move from her position until she was addressed by Claru. |

the next contestant to turn up was an orange hedgehog, and as he entered, he saw lots of different people; humans, a meerkat, a dog, but what surprised him was that Lifio was entering the tournament too... he went over to Lifio and greeted himself with "had no idea you was entering, Lifio...", which could've scared him easily... he did notice something odd about the meerkat though, but he couldn't figure out what was odd about him...he might as well relax until the first round starts off and sat down alone at one of the tables. |

"Wow. This is just..Awesome." This came out of the mouth of A boy that was 21 years old. He was standing there, taking in with his diamond eyes all that he could take in from the entrance alone. He stood there, in a red T-shirt with the Rockband emblem for guitarist. Also noteworthy was the guitar case strapped to his back. He wore Black jeans, and his hair was untidy and brown. This..Was Aaron Kunai. He wondered where he should start his sightseeing at before he could prove to the crowds that he could battle with the best of 'em, that a boy from a small city could contend with absolute masters. |

More people came in. A hedgehog and another human. None of them interested the meerkat. At least, that was until he caught the hedgehog staring at him for a moment. He mentally ignored it and returned his sights to the package in front of him. The wolf looked at Mev with a bit of concern. He still didn't open it and put on the ring. Why else would he ask for it and not look at it at least? "Is there a problem, your highness?" The wolf asked, leaning in towards Mev so he wouldn't have to speak very loud. "Not at all..." The meerkat replied rather quickly, yet calmly. "When you've lived as long as I have, you'll learn that time is simply just numbers, and patience is a virtue that grows on you... I've been searching for this ring for twenty years now, five of those years were preparing clues and building maps. My father made sure that no one would be able to find this but one of his sons... And now that I have it, I'm not sure I want it." He tells the wolf, to which the wolf remained silent as he just looked at the package. "I see... That hedgehog, do you know him?" "No... He may know of me though. I'm a billionaire, after all. Not from around here, but a billionaire nonetheless... We tend to draw attention to ourselves no matter where we go." With that said Mev continued to stare at the package as the wolf remained silent. He didn't know what else to say as he looked at the hedgehog on last time before returning his eyes back to Mev and the package, waiting for him the open it. |

Aaron was now looking around the lobby. He noticed many warriors here, but only the orange hedgehog caught his eye. "Josh!!!" Aaron ran up to him, happy to see his pen pal. He felt even happier now that he saw his buddy here, of all places. |

"Thats closer enough, kid." The wolf dressed in the 'men in black' suit confronted Josh and stood in his path. The wolf tall, very tall. Along with his twin brother at his side, the two wolves looked like large pillars, glaring through their sunglasses upon Josh and Aaron. "Lex, Vex, stand down. I don't need to be protected from two kids." Mev tells them, to which the two wolves stepped aside while Mev waved his hand at the maid that was still massaging his shoulders to stop and move away. She nods and slightly bows, backing away and joining the three guys in black and white suits. "Excuse their hostility. They're over protective of me... You wouldn't happen to be addressing me for some money, would you?" Mev spoke to them, keeping his eyes fixed on the package in front of him. He assumed they wanted money, why else would they come to him. However, they did come as a pair, safety in numbers. If they did want to start something, Mev wouldn't need to lift a finger. They both were outnumbered. |
