Christmas is back again
|
After countless of hour's effort to reinstate the lobby, we can at last allow for our entrants to step on inside. The usual counter situated at the center, with two bartenders looking to serve drinks for the thirsty, and food for the hungry. Serve's a purpose seen as our combatants tend to vary in size and such a new room has been exclusively designed for those who wish to move around more openly, while yet have someone specifically serve out nutritious meals and the like. Each member are allowed to walk freely out in the outer yard, where I tend to observe each and ever individual who enters. But don't expect a handshake, I ain't never been much in favor of the mortal kinds. Now as for introductions.... What? It ain't my fault my other subordinates are late. Entertainment are meant to be in the arena, so do not think about making fuzz at the lobby. As we'll have a suitable location for up-starters like you. Exactly, we have our exclusive dungeon, and trust me, you don't wanna get your ass hauled down there. Welcome to the inter-round lobby! |

Aaron dashed towards Josh. He knew he was going to attack with Triple Threat first, so he knew what to do, if it worked. As he dashed towards Josh, he then jumped to the right side quickly, and rolled around to his back, ready to give him a helm splitter attack. |

"Oohh," Ella commented, apparently not looking so good for Wraith because his match finally timed out. Wraith then asked how Fenroar did, who was once again distracted when he heard Josh and Aaron's names being called out. Heh, what are the chances of that? Fenroar remembered the two wreaking havoc earlier with the meerkat, who seemed to have dropped out for some reason. The two seemed like best friends, and now one of them is going to be eliminated from the tournament. However, Fenroar turned back to Wraith, to answer his questions. "Me? Oh, I won," he answered. "In fact, the two I defeated are now fighting. The first was Claru, the other was Josh." "Yep, it seems he has a long wait till his next match," Ella said. The pair noticed some person walk by, and stood next to Wraith. Is he the mechanic? Fenroar's not sure who he is exactly. |

His intended target taking off just in time to avoid his attack, Claru's kick slammed straight into the wooden floorboards, leaving something like a crater of snapped and shattered paneling, splinters of wood jutting upwards like a field of abandoned spears. Tch. Almost had him that time, he growled inwardly, That move was exceptionally powerful, just as expected. Pity it didn't hit. Suddenly, the griffon swooped back towards him, already on the attack with those massive feline claws. Claru managed to block the first attack - a right-handed swing - with his artificial left arm, the claws shredding his bandages but failing to penetrate the metal casing of the arm itself. The second attack, however, came from the left, leaving him with no time to counter. Tharros' claws struck his mask; had he not been wearing it, the attack would have torn straight through his cheek and removed his jaw from the rest of his head. As it was, the claws left four deep gashes in the metal mask and knocked Claru to one side. He rolled to a stop at the feet of the spectators on the sidelines and used the HERMES' thrusters to lift him to his feet as he rubbed his aching neck. That was some serious whiplash... That guy's WAY too strong for his size. I'd say his strength was inhuman, but that goes without saying, all things considered. He shook his head to clear his senses, then charged forward to meet the griffon's advance. He was on the defensive in his previous fight, and he refused to let that happen again. No matter how strong the opponent was, he was banking on his ferocity to pull him through. That's what it meant to be the Knight of Tigers! |

Satisfied with his duo of strikes, Tharros brought a small amount of distance from his foe with a quick flap of his wings. The pain in his talon was just as agonizing as it always was. It felt as if the horn still lodged itself within his foot. As such; the warrior continued to hover just inches above the ground. His massive wings retained a consistent flap to keep him airborne. He folded his arms once more as he watched the human roll then spring to his feet. "You are more powerful then I initially anticipated." the hybrid said, refining a defensive stance as Claru charged in for an attack. "A clash of brute force? I shall see what he's truly capable of." he thought to himself. His formidable wings pushed him towards his opponent in a quick burst of speed. While his arms and legs weren't prepared for an attack, his highly durable wings and tail would be the tools to utilize if need be. |

The smallest of smirks formed on the mechanic's face as he noticed the lack of reaction Fenroar gave to his appearance. "So he doesn't recognise me... that's probably for the best." He thought to himself, shifting his gaze to the second fight that was starting between Josh and Aaron. "Claru and Josh?" Marcus thought aloud as he looked back towards the match Wraith was previously watching. It was becoming apparent he had no idea who was who outside of those he had already met. "The slightly bloody one with the mask and hovering gear fighting the griffin. That's Claru," the mechanic chimed in, not looking away from the match he was watching. "Josh is the orange hedgehog fighting the human in that match over there." Wraith turned its attention to the second match that was underway after the mechanic pointed it out. There didn't seem to be a whole lot going on just yet with the pair simply staring each other down and running around in defensive stances. Marcus had half a mind to go stir them up a bit with the crowd, but chose to stay where he was for now. "I see... sure are a lot more animals in this thing than I was expecting." Marcus commented, noting that both fights currently taking place were between a human and more animal-like combatant. It was a stranger mix of fighters than he was expecting. But at least that made things interesting. |

Josh then had an idea and started to run towards Aaron, if he threw his kunai he could set down a shadow mine or shadow lift it back at Aaron, but it has a chance to fail or hit someone outside the ring... |

He's going into a defensive position, huh? Works for me; I'll just smash straight through his guard! So far, linear attacks against this particular foe had been mostly ineffective. Dyrnwyn would have provided the kind of area-control arcs that he needed to pin down the enemy, but there was the issue of the bystanders to worry about - and besides, he'd lost the sword during his crash-landing into that table- Table. In an instant, he thought back to the initial minutes of his stay in the lobby when he'd first arrived, intervening in a fight with the help of a good, solid, wood-and-metal table. A plan formed in his mind's eye. No amount of wing-power would protect that oversized bird from this... Claru accelerated in the final few meters between him and Tharros. Just when he was within striking distance, he ducked suddenly and came back up, swinging his arm into a powerful uppercut aimed at the griffon's stomach. Even if he blocked, Claru's fighting style was designed to destroy such protection, with or without a weapon in hand. He didn't care where his fist connected with the enemy; either way, something was going to break. |

Aaron knew about Joshs dark gaia abilities, and how he never liked using them when he had a secret. He then knew about the crowd's tolerance towards attacks aimed at them. He had a plan. Josh had a feeling he might miss, but he was still going to fight back, he had his abilities ready and held onto his sword, he still didn't want to harm Aaron with his UZI, nor the crowd, but he was ready to dodge or reflect the kunais back at him... |

Tharros watched the rapidly approaching human with the utmost caution. As the underhanded strike came his way, his options were limited, but he remained level headed and thought out every possibility he could in such a short time. There was no time to evaded and he couldn't risk damaging his arms or his wings, so blocking was out of the question.. He was well aware this strike would inflict much damage and Claru demonstrated such a feat. Only one option formed into the hybrid's mind as he was hoping it wouldn't be one of regret. The steel fist slammed into his white feathered stomach, causing his massive body to lurch forward. Blood poured from his beak and the sound of the wind being knocked out of him was almost deafening. His eyes widened from the sheer impact and he felt as of the fist was hoisting him in the air to an extent. His body grew numb from the amount of trauma and he was stunned momentarily. "I commend your attempts." the avian feline said with winded breath; his crimson soaked beak twisted in a smug grin. "But I am not so easily defeated." he went on. His large paws joined together as he quickly raised his arms above his head. Using both gravity and his own formidable strength, Tharros brought down his fists downward with great force looking to break the armor of the tiger striped mask. |
