Oh no, I understand. I thought that was what you meant, but the phrasing was slightly confusing, that's all. xD Don't worry about it. And yes, your point is clear. I think 'generally' you might be correct, but I've seen enough exceptions to know that it doesn't always apply. We're basically debating the implications of those exceptions, at this point. I do love to debate, so I'm willing to continue, if you are. xD I would argue that these few exceptions are meaning enough for everyone of that age to try, simply because it's almost impossible to determine whether someone is an exception or not. However, that's only if they want to try. If they don't, then they certainly don't have to. |

Yes. Which is why I say that it doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. Maybe to "most", but even that I've been treating only as a maybe/might. I do agree that most younger teenagers probably aren't ready for a relationship, though. Not due to inability to hold strong emotions for non-family members, but due to being way too recently introduced to this aspect of life to know how to deal with it properly. Finding someone with whom such feelings can be mutual is more difficult, because I will grant that understanding the emotions of others is more difficult when younger, but having those feelings is relatively straightforward. |

I wouldn't really say it's judgmental. Cus I'm not trying to be judgmental. I'm saying that is kinda rare for that to happen. |

Welp, this topic has been stirred into the wrong direction like many people stated before. I think you guys have helped Endevous with his problem greatly and answered his question, and that's what this topic was for. If anyone wants to discuss the matter of love and relationships with teenagers -- just make a topic, but not here. If you do, please keep it friendly. ^^ Topic locked. |
