And I decided I would stick to 7. Because 8 has a different start up screen and then takes you back to 7 after you get to the desktop screen. So yeah. This is why I hate both Microsoft and Apple. I hated Microsoft less first. Now It's equal.

Glad I read this now, since I'll be looking to buy a new one to replace my old laptop soon. But I'm not giving up Steam, period.
	I love programming! I work at Mommatown as a programmer on sites like Vincent Martella's, Don Leslie's and IPO Boutique. When I'm not doing that I'm usually writing game mods. <3

It's not that great to me and I got a free upgrade with my job and I didn't even use. However, I was about to buy a gaming laptop despite I have a laptop already to play at school but it has Windows 8... Kinda don't want it now, lol. Now I definitely want no parts of Windows 8 after this.

I disliked it at first but after playing around with it at the store I realized it's pretty much like Windows 7 except a completely different Start menu that's designed mainly for tablets and phones. I only decided to get it because 1) it is the only thing available on new computers now and 2) eventually Windows 7 will be dropped like Microsoft doesn't even care.

It's my first problem with Vista in over 5 years of using it, possibly longer. In fact I possibly own the only working copy of it pre-SP2 update... Anyways, I'm changing to Windows 7. That'll work nicely for me until Valve get around to a Steam Linux distro; it won't be far off now if it's happening now Steam is available on Linux If it wasn't for my gaming, I'd have switched to Linux long before now.

My desktop still uses XP. Honestly, I could never figure out why people wanted to upgrade from XP --> Vista --> 7 so quickly. The only reason I upgraded was because my laptop already had 7 installed and my desktop was glitching so I thought a software update would help. It did help, but I eventually downgraded to use XP again.

But of course I have access to the iOS App store and Android's Google Play store so this doesn't even matter. But completely restricting it eliminates the accessibility to various MMOs and Indies most mild PC gamers go for, like me.

Sonic Crossroads 6 years ago, I began a fangame project called "Pure Shadow". I cancelled the project due to lack of time and other priorities. Now that I'm in college, and have loads of more time, I found the file and began to pick it up again. After refreshing my memory of all the coding put into the engine, I decided to use it to write a new project. Drawing out a new plot and new gimmicks for the project, I decided to rename this project called Sonic Crossroads. This project is going to be completed in Game Maker 8 PRO coded by myself and my friend who goes by the alias, MastaaFrederick. Because of our lack of experience in many aspects to increase enjoyability (such as music, artistry, animation, etc.), we want to develop a small team to work on this project. Anyone who is interested, please message me. On top of these things, we want to create a new antagonist for the story. We, MastaaFrederick and I, need a whole new character concept. We want the most creative fan character we can find, and create a sprite sheet for this character. We would like to find a character via messenger. Demo for the fangame coming soon.
