Bosses: Scariest, Creepiest, of just WTF?

Okay I don't know if there was already a topic like this if there was, I either looked right over it (if so, sorry), couldn't find it (again, sorry) or it was too far buried to bump. And I'm pretty sure this is the correct place for a topic like this. If not then my bad ^_^
But I was just posting in the "Easiest Levels in Sonic Games" thread and talking about one particular boss and it made me think...

Some of the bosses in Sonic are really far-fetched. And I've noticed that some are really creepy. I'm talking like "WTF why are you even here?". So tell me, people... Have you ever encountered a boss that was either scary, really creepy, or so far out there that you were just like "WTF?"

Like, okay, I get it, bosses are supposed to be evil and intimidating and invoke fear... But it's Sonic for goodness sakes, not Silent Hill, and some of these bosses look like they belong somewhere else.

I'll start with Time Eater from Sonic Generations. More like Ball Smasher. When I saw him I literally was like "what the hell okay this is kinda a bit much." I mean he is kinda cartoon-y, but I'm sure we all know that that does not take away from the creepy factor. First of all, his movements are all weird and jerky, like he is in desperate need of an exorcism. And then just look at him. I don't think I need to say much more. And he was huge. Every time he showed up he took up damn near 60% of the screen. Intimidating enough for me. Yeah, it was a little less scary when you found out exactly what it was, but still. At first it was kinda out there.

Also in Generations was Perfect Chaos. It looked waaayyy creepier than it ever did in Sonic Adventure. That one was less creepy and more cool-looking. But this remodel for Generations? It literally looks like something out of an alien-based nightmare, and I did not enjoy fighting it. That sound it made when it took on damage was probably the worst. It was really freaky, man. I brought the game to where my little brother lives and demonstrated to all my little siblings that the sound Perfect Chaos made was reminiscent of a mental patient getting strapped down. Even my mother agreed that it was really creepy.

Okay, that's all I'm gonna say. There are more, of course, but that's where the discussion comes in. So tell me, everyone is gonna have their own opinion! Are there any bosses you encountered/have seen/heard about that kinda made you feel nervous even though you're on the other side of the screen? Or am I just a big wimp?

Did..did anyone else flinch at Dark Gaia? The game literally shown alien blood flowing out of him, not to mention how disturbing it looks, and the disgusting sounds it makes during the transformation. Plus, the way you attack him is spinning right into his eye.

Don't know what i'm talking about? LOOK AT THIS.

WHAT THE HELL.

...Okay what.

That's completely gross.

I haven't even gotten that far in that game yet (I'm still working on it... Almost 5 years and I'm still working on it I know I'm terrible).

Yeah that's just nasty XP hahaha

It had to be Dark Gaia for me cause his transformation was just...Ugh...Oh...oh my god what is that!!?
In order for there to be light, one must conquer it and rid it of darkness that tries to overcome it.

Well once you manage to beat the BioLizard once, beating it subsequent times is rather easy. However, for a first time player or a child, it is rather disturbing. It soon goes from disturbing to frustrating when you spend nearly half of your lives trying to defeat him.

As goes for the Biolizard, I admit that I was paying a lot more attention to the motions than the background. The atmosphere probably changed too with the volume far down (I tend to keep games quiet, SA2 was no exception).

What got me was King Boom Boo. Really not a plesant memory and I'd rather not elaborate.

I'm working on Unleashed. Didn't watch the video, I'll let myself be surprised when I get there...

I believe she's talking about Sonic Rush 2, that's the only Sonic game I know that has pirates.

Yeah I believe she meant Rush. Because there is nothing that even came to close to a pirate in SA2.

Eh, not many bosses in the series I would consider Scary or Creepy. Of course, as many have said previously, The Time Eater from Generations is rather demonic looking, the biolizard looks mildly menacing, too. Other than that though, none really come to mind. I suppose Perfect Chaos is scary in concept, but nothing I would find scary.

For some reason, I have never found Perfect Chaos scary. I guess it was the fact that he was a water demon or something. He was a tad difficult to beat, but not scary in the slightest. The fact that he is probably just a mutated Light Chaos chao really dilutes his fear factor.

for me, it would be the Egg Emperor, I mean he still gives me grief to this day!
HOW were you supposed to hit him if he kept firing energy waves at you and kept blocking with that seemingly indestructible shield of his!
as for the dark gaia, he actually seems awesome in my opinion, I mean, he could cover half of the world with his hand alone...

That's uh...i think you got it wrong, this is not a topic about the hardest bosses in the Sonic games, this is a thread about the scariest/creepiest/wtf bosses in the Sonic games.. :3

Egg Emperor is not that scary. Sure he's menacing looking but definitely not scary.

oh...I guess the creepiest I saw would be the Biolizard...I mean he's a lizard without his back legs, no teeth and what's more, he has a life support machine on his back!

Like I said before, Perfect Chaos is pretty creepy in Generations. I'm not gonna say why, because I already have in my original post lol. He's not that bad in Adventure.

But yeah. He was... not fun to fight. That, and it took me like 7 tries. -_-

Yeah his Generations' render was a bit unsettling, but that eases off once you see that he is only a mutated chao. Light Chaos chao are very cute, so knowing he came from that makes him a lot less creepy to me.
