Oh. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Maybe indifferent. I think I watched the first movie and liked it. The first book was great. So...good to know, but I probably won't watch it. ^^; |

Gawd I ain't to bothered looking up the old thread about an potential sequel to Jurassic Park in the works. But that's back in 2011. I'm happy it ain't just talks, but true fact, seen as I enjoyed specially the first. Hoping this will be made, not as a predecessor from JP3, but sorta like a prequel and a remake of the second. Like are they looking to attempt in restoring the park? That sort of thing. Guess we'll have a long wait to see what's actually coming. Nevertheless looking forwards to it. |

Hopefully it'll be better than #3, that's all I can say. The first movie was great, and it was about accuracy... but it really seemed like they started leaning more toward sensationalism in the latest sequel. Definitely didn't feel the same. |

I question what you mean by "it was about accuracy". Excruciating details please. |

I don't know what "it was about accuracy" is supposed ot mean. I think that was actually supposed to say "they cared more about accuracy", or something to that effect... Compare the amount of research and influence real paleontologists were able to put into the first film, from the way T. rex stomped his feet to nixing the raptors' forked tongues, and the weirdness of the third film, from toothy Pteranodons to the faddish "Spinosaur Sue" and talking Velociraptors. |

As a dinosaur and pelycosuar enthusiast I must say there ain't nothing accurate about the JP films. Not even close. In the first film the design of each reptile was done by someone who isn't a paleontologist, not by someone who was in the field of prehistoric geography. |

About time. Hopefully if this ends the series, it ends on a high note. |

No, there really was a decent amount of input from real paleontologists for the first movie, including Bakker, (AFAIK) Horner, and paleoartist Gregory Paul, who may not be a "paleontologist" in the regular sense but set the standard for visual depictions of dinosaurs which paleoartists continue to follow even today. The JP dinosaurs aren't perfectly accurate given what we know today, but for the decade when the first movie came out they were pretty amazing. There was some discrepancies between what Crichton wanted, what Spielberg wanted, and what the paleontologists wanted, but still, they did do their "homework" the first time around. |
