Thankin' y'all kindly for the recommendations. Incidentally if you hit the GUN game zone part of the forum, you can find my topic there where you can make requests... ;) This Tuesday I'm going to be livestreaming S3&K co-op and then maybe moving onto something like Rocket Knight Adventures on Hard, or Half Life 2, or whatever the hell else entertains you the viewer!

I only watch BrainScratchComms, ClementJ642, and SGBLiketoPlay.

I'd recommend LPing Sonic 2, personally.
Gonna dropkick it.

I don't watch that many LPers anymore to be honest but there are some good ones out there.

ClementJ642 is very good, he mainly Sonic and Mega-Man games and his commentary is awesome.
Chuggaconroy is a funny LPer and only plays Nintendo games. I recommend you watch his Mother 3 LP, very good.
BrainScratchComms is a fun group of people who play a bunch of games. They have a very fun commentary too.

They're all that come to mind right now, sorry about not including their link btw, I'm on mobile and it is just a hassle.

Also, I actually don't mind PewDiePie, I think he has his moments but he is massivley overrated on YouTube.

It's a group of four people doing multiplayer let's plays. It's kind of hard to figure out who is who at first, but once that's done, you're in for a pretty nice laugh.

If you are looking for recommendations on what LP of theirs to watch first, i recommend every party game they done. Besides Mario Party 8, not their best LP around in my opinion.

Oh yeah, there's also Mack. http://www.youtube.com/user/Mackscorner

If you're looking for let's plays with good reactions, i'd say Mack is a good choice. He does a few horror games, sometimes he does quickies and he's also currently in the middle of a Far Cry 3 let's play, which i enjoy a lot.

Also his accent is god-like.

I just got into Game Grumps and I agree, they are funny as heck. I cannot drink anything while I'm watching them. They are just that hilarious! Pianta introduced me to them, and I recommend them to anyone who wants to play a good game and have a lot of fun doing it!

I gotta tell ya, I think i know someone that does probably the best Let's Plays around. This guy called Freezedown, oh boy funny guy, FUNNY GUY!

Freezedown's Channel

Lol but I mainly only watch Toby and GameGrumps, I know alot of people don't like Toby but I think he's awesome and a huge inspiration. Then GameGrumps, which has two of my favorite Youtubers. Jontron and Egoraptor, I know people already said GameGrumps but they just to good.

Well...my list of commentary/LPers are:
BrainScratchComms: Probably one of the best commentary channels there is. They cover a wide variety of games at a high speed. They don't hit home runs every time, but every game they do will have funny and memorable moments.
Super Gaming Bros: Another one of the best LP teams out there, they bring skillful gameplay (usually) with knowledge and excellent editing skills. And with their humor and practically family bond, it makes them a pleasure to watch/listen to.
HellfireComms: Formerly the king of commentary teams, HFC has fallen a great deal over the years due to technical and personal reasons. Although it doesn't shine nearly as bright, there are still good moments, and their older commentaries can be absolutely worth watching.
Video Games Awesome: Formerly a web series starring a family of 90s cheese, the team behind the group took to LPing. While they aren't the best, they're still very entertaining to watch, and cover many modern games. They're also noteworthy for livestreaming (and including the chat in their videos), partnering with Channel Awesome/Blistered Thumbs, and having a strong dedication to Minecraft.
ChichiriCatSan: A unique female LPer, she doesn't have many games in her reserve, but she does give an entertaining spin for each game with her love of each game.
DarkSydePhil: The King of Hate, and one of the more infamous LPers, Phil has had a rough history with LPing, but recently has partnered with Machinima and has had no problems since then. Although he uses a camera to film his TV, and thus producing a lower quality picture, he perhaps has the fastest rate of pushing out LPs, and chances are he's covered a modern game you were interested in, or even some retro ones. He also has several other channels, and occasionally co-LPs with his best friend and girlfriend, who have their own LP channels.
ChuggaaConroy: By far one of the best LPers, if not the best LPer, Emile showcases an amazing editing skill, humor, and an informative nature that should not be ignored. He enjoys all the games he plays, and is quite dedicated to Nintendo. He is one of several members of The Runaway Guys.
NintendoCapriSun: An obvious Nintendo LPer, he has a great sense of humor and dedication to the games he plays. Although he usually has Nintendo games lining his list, he has other games too. He's a member of The Runaway Guys.
The Runaway Guys: A team of Internet celebrity/LPers, the team tackles multiplayer games and have much riotous game moments as they compete and work together to beat the games they're tackling.
Game Grumps: Compromised of Internet celebrities Egoraptor and Jontron, the two friends have united to LP games. Although their random and broish nature have led to many great moments, they aren't particularly skilled and don't seem to finish certain LPs.
The Great Clement: Clement is a famous LPer for Mega Man and Sonic LPs. He has many commentaries under his belt, and he usually has his facts straight, or will after comment corrections from prior videos.
The Smexy Shenanigans: Although this team hasn't posted anything yet, they're looking to be one of the most mandatory watches out there. Four Sonic fans, united under the rules of fandom, talent, kindness, and of course, smexiness, these four are ready to take on the world and show what they're made of. Rumored to be starting with Sonic The Hedgehog for the SEGA Genesis, the team will show what they're capable of soon, and plan on continuing to form an impressive legacy. They've got many games planned and are all very enthusiastic. Keep an eye on this team, as their first commentaries will be coming soon.

it is with a heavy heart that NINTEND0LP, an LP'er that is somewhat of a rapper (He did two raps on Chrono Trigger, a rap on Chibi-robo, and other kinds of games) is no longer on youtube. His channel was taken off after a farewell video entitled "It's not you, It's me" and while the video DID assure us that that will be his last video for a while, if not forever, it sure fooled us.

"R.I.P." to you NLP. Rap and play on dude.

I object to your claims
I've been watching a lot of MilesLuigi and MasaeAnela lately. Both of them specialize in Nintendo games, with MilesLuigi also doing a lot of Super Mario World hacks (like Kaizo World.)

I just got reminded of a youtube channel, named RunButton
http://www.youtube.com/user/RunButton

RunButton did a "20 Years of Sonic" let's play, which basically means going through nearly every Sonic game released. Now they're finished with the project so now they're doing a "30 Years of Mario" let's play.

They're not exactly the funniest, nor they intend to be. They're more of a casual channel, where they just play a game and talk about it. And it's actually quite entertaining.

I've been following this guy for awhile now and I'm surprised it didn't get a mention here. It's Cry, aka ChaoticMonkey. You may know him from his collaboration video with PewdiePie. He's a funny guy with a very pleasant voice. He does games like Bioshock Infinite and The Walking Dead: The Game and a lot of Indie horror games. Worth checking him out!

I don't know if he technically falls under this category, but Cr1tikal (penguinz0 on YouTube) definitely deserves a mention. I mean his videos ARE basically short and hilarious LP's. xD (dunno if he was mentioned already or not)

Aside from that I also watch Game Grumps, occasionally some TBFP/Sw1tcher, and Markiplier. Need to watch more Cry.

Necroscope86 - Another guy that does a lot of PC Games.
Kikoskia - Another British Let's Player that does PC Gaming. Really hilarious guy. He mostly does retro PC Games and even suffered though both versions of Action 52
