 Implement mixed economy of socialism and maybe some capitalism. Eliminate large businesses and negate businesses to a local level, and transfer resource collection to the state. Thus allow a more controlled consumption of resources. If a absolute must, turn to digitizing money, with harsh punishment for hacking/stealing. Redraw national(or rather now regional) borders to fit peoples so all territorial disputes are settled. This includes the liberation of said countries like Tibet and Palestine(And possible abolition of Israel as a state as its presence creates massive instability. If must, the state of Israel will be relocated to a area of the world that would cause the least amount of stability for its existence. Israeli people and government will comply or there will be no Israel period.). Pacify hot spots by both increasing military presence and winning the hearts and minds of the civilians and giving them more reason to support our side then the terrorists side. As such, drone warfare will be restricted to open areas where there are no civilians. Military at this point will start to act less like a military and more like a police force, and as such, will decrease the lethality of weapons and train to disable more then kill. Nukes will either be disarmed or in the case of a threat from outer space will be kept under guard and saved for a last resort. Balance budget so that all parts, education, medicare, defense all have equal or close to equal spending, shifting only when one area is in greater need then one or more. Encourage much needed education, along with the teaching and learning of cultures, races, and even religions if wanted. Create and promote a large series of programs to encourage teamwork and unity. Amplify development of more ecologically friendly power and energy sources and begin efforts to fix the Eco system. Resource production will focus more on need rather then over-harvesting to meet pure excess and over indulgent demand. If possible, develop means to harvest resources while minimizing damage to environment. All religion will be tolerated, with religions that require payment to worship will be demanded to make free or face possible liquidation. There will be classes to encourage racial, cultural, and religious tolerance. Eastern philosophy will become more the norm. Nationalism will be abolished or at least, discouraged in favor of the Unity of mankind, with plans for when alien life is encountered to ensure humanity will not return to 18th century roots of imperial desires. Ensure corruption counter measures and a means of finding a suitable successor and/or a true democracy is instituted. And I think that's about it. Oh, and to look to the cultures of the past for inspirations and designs of culture buildings to encourage a more artistic/creative future. I know this sounds rather fascist/communist of me, but to be perfectly honest, I have very high doubts that the current human mindset, especially with capitalism and such, that we will be able to live on this world for even another century. VladDrakken(DAK) @ Why do I feel your plan would make every person who got to high in power by being smart, and I'm just talking about being good, I'm also talking about people who cheat, mad at you? I know you said something about a army but it would still be one hell of a problem. If I ruled the world I would probably last 3 days. A week in max. |

It's honestly hard to say what I'd do if I ruled the world. However, I would not rule as the sole power of the planet, I can say that much right now. Not only is it hard to trust a single person with all that power, but I'd also be worried for my safety, haha. Instead, I would probably rule as a "High King" of sorts, with each nation still retaining their own governments. The leaders of all the other countries would serve with me as a council, however the majority of the decision making would lie in their hands. They would direct the world, for the most part, but I would serve as a sort of judge-figure. Each nation would be allowed to develop its laws and cultures as it would. However, if one nation were to try to harm another, or if one nation commits other crimes on such a scale, the rest of the nations would be obligated to put that nation down. If a nation promotes something unjust, such as torture or oppression, I would use the power that backs me in the other nations to end such issues. Probably the biggest contrast between my method and Vlad's method is that I still support nationalism, insofar as nationalism to one's country does not interfere with the more overarching nationalism to the High Rule. As for religion... All religion would be accepted, as long as it did not support harming or oppressing people. In terms of economy, generally speaking this would be in the hands of each nation to handle for themselves, but I would interfere if this were being abused. Education would have to see a rise, of course. To put down education is a form of blatant oppression, and thus wouldn't be tolerated. All kinds of philosophy would be permitted and taught, insofar as it didn't preach for the harming or oppressing of people. Each person would be able to choose what philosophy to partake of for themselves, within said precaution. So yeah, ultimately, I would support life, liberty, and the right to pursue happiness. Each nation would be able to do as it would, insofar as it didn't infringe upon these three principles for anyone, whether within itself or outside of itself. Or so goes the ideal, at least. Whether or not I would be able to manage it is hard to say, haha. |

Its largely just a basic idea. Multiple items are likely will need to be worked out but that was mostly everything I thought up at that moment so there are likely flaws or things I overlooked. |

I second this. Seriously, the pizza in school is always garbage. In High school my first two years, everything was fine. Then the last two years, the food went to hell quick. The pizza became less edible, and they took out the sodas to replace them with healthy alternatives. The Healthy alternatives, of course, were as unhealthy or more unhealthy compared to the sodas. Despite student complaints and the fact this was pointed out clearly, no change was made. I hated High School. But at least with College, I could choose where I wanted to go to eat. Light. The one everyone seems to like. The one people seem to know. But what they don't know, is that if you have light, you have to have darkness.
