We have all no doubt heard of one of the most loyal and emotional creatures Doctor Robotnik has ever created. That being, E-102 Gamma, from the iconic Sonic Adventure video game, on both the original and remake versions. If you have heard of this character, you'll know that Gamma had sacrificed himself to release a trapped animal that was inside of him. After killing his last brother, E-101 Beta, it was seemingly as if Gamma would rather kill himself and release the animal inside him, rather then recovering from the explosion that developed after the death of Beta, using his recovery system. Although Gamma was destroyed, recent rumours from a none-official source claim that Gamma will be making an appearance in a currently unnamed Sonic the Hedgehog video game. Although unofficial information has been proven wrong in the past, and the people who start the rumours normally never show their faces in social media again, there are still many ways that Gamma could return as either a remake or in the spirit of the bird that was released from him. Discuss how you believe he could be revived, or share your opinion on the rumours themselves. Edited by Monaco, Feb 11 2013, 12:06 PM.

Is that even possible? I mean, he's gone right? In Sonic Adventure? Wouldn't the only way for him to return be for Eggman to like, make him again? And then he wouldn't be the same character.. I can't imagine the same flaw in his software or what-ever it was that caused him to feel emotions such as selflessness and experience friendship would happen again, right? But I mean it would be cool... I'd rather see Omega back some more but eh. Beggars can't be choosers. A robot ally is just like any other robot ally. |

I suppose since Gammas emotions were never explained officially, It's most likely that if they ever revived him, they'd somehow explain how he was given those emotions. Perhaps Doctor Robotnik thought that he could make his creations even more powerful and effective if he insulted an emotional system into their circuits. Otherwise, the emotions that were within Gamma may have just been some sort of fault caused by a system failure. But, if this was the case, and Doctor Robotnik intended to have his creations obtain emotions, then he might be able to do the same for another creation for a new line of inventions. Another thing that is possible, is that the possible fault of him obtaining emotions may have come from the animal inside of him. I mean, it is said that the birds inside Robotniks creations are the very soul of his inventions, so, if you advanced that theory, you could make out that it was in fact the emotions within the bird that triggered something within Gamma that caused him to embrace the emotions within the bird, that were somehow more powerful then Robotniks inventions themselves. |

![]() Not to be rude but when the rumor comes out before any form of game is even announced(Even though we do know there is one in the works), my suspensions on the legitimacy of the rumor comes into question. Still. Would be interesting to see how they do it if they could. I mean, what are they going to do, a new Sonic game based in the vain of Adventures? Sonic Adventures 3/4 maybe?(Puts on a helmet to protect from incoming flak from people no doubt tired of hearing of people wanting Sonic Adventures 3) |

While I like Gamma, I'd rather not see him return. As mentioned above, he's dead and anything new would just be a copy based off the original. Personally I'd rather see characters like Gemerl/Emerl and Omega come back rather than him, as in my opinion, they are far more interesting. Besides, isn't Omega meant to be the last E-Series robot functioning? |

3 word minimum please, And quoted words do not count. Anywho, Gamma has pretty much been overtaken by Omega, there is little reasoning to bring him back at all as he wasn't even that well of an established characters to begin. |

Ignoring the fact it's a rumor... I really wouldn't want to see Gamma again. I mean, I liked him, it was sad to see him go, but I don't really have high hopes right now that SEGA could make sense of supposed dead character coming back. Shadow's whole explained survival story was just... not that great. Perhaps it could be different since Gamma was a robot and all, but he obviously wouldn't be the same unless it was the same bird getting captured again. Even still, why would Eggman repeat a past mistake, unless he made a new and improved Gamma 2.0 and even then, it would most likely be different from the Gamma we knew. I think it would sort of be a lose-lose situation no matter how you cut it. And, as already mentioned, I Omega (although I hate to admit it) fills the robot ally, so what's the point? |

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
|
The only way that he would be brought back, would be the reboot that is said to be in 2014, that may or may not be happening. Either way, I would not mind seeing him again in a different kind of story, but the kind of fan service he gets and that fact that Omega did pretty much fill the robotic-who-has-humanity-and-sees-light-of day position, there is not much sense for him to come back. Rumors are rumors :3 2014 reboot maybe: http://www.webpronews.com/sega-may-be-planning-sonic-reboot-for-2014-rumor-2012-04 http://www.tssznews.com/2012/04/04/source-possible-sonic-reboot-for-2014-explored/ |
