 I would say Green Hill Zone Act 1 & 2 of Sonic the Hedgehog (original, if you must ask!). Share your opinion!

 ^ I can definitely agree with that. I managed to get all of the red rings, and that was not an easy task :(

Angel Island Act 1
 I'll go with Angel Island Zone seeing as how I can get through both acts in mostly under a minute. It also helps that the level structure is somewhat shorter compared to other Zones in Sonic 2.

As for 3D wise, I found Chemical Plant in Sonic Generations to be really easy, particularly because there aren't that many blocking obstacles like in Sonic 2.
