[Solved] Login help

Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	So, I had voiced this issue in the shack, seeing as most of the mods/admin hang around there. My dear wife(Kittycakes) hasn't logged on in such a long time. However, she wants to return but can't remember her password. When she hits the 'forgot password' link and types in her username an error comes up. I did the same thing and a error comes up as well. So! We decided that if you can(and I think you can, admin/monds), reset her password using the admin-portal and pm me the new password(I don't know, make it four numbers or something). Once you pm me her new password I can send her a txt of the new password. Unless! One of the mods/admins knows of a way to reach kittycakes in a similar manner, then you guys can simply send her the new password. Either way, I believe the admins can change passwords of any member. At least, I thought they could do so. If not then please voice another solution to help my wife get back here for more fun and such. ~LF116

But I'd think staff would be able to contact her through her current email address. I'm also not sure why you didn't just wait for someone to respond to you in the Shack if you believed members of staff would be around there. I mean, rather then creating a thread of course. Not that I disagree with it in this case. I'm unable to think of anything other then staff contacting her via email or any other services she is on that you can provide us with. Or, you provide proof she has requested you to access her, soon to be, new password. And for the error sign. I'm not sure if anyone else is getting the issue, but I'd suggest awaiting staff to fix it before she tries to obtain a new password herself. Edited by Monaco, Jan 2 2013, 08:08 PM.

I'm not sure who has her skype or msn or anything like that. I txt back and forth with her, so if anyone else txts her they can simply ask and voice that what I said is true.shrugs As for me making a topic, I voiced this issue in the shack yesterday, and it was completely ignored. So, I made a topic. How else am I suppose to ask for help? As for your third point, I would prefer that above anything else, the staff throwing the new password her way. This topic was mainly to being attention to her current situation, since she can't voice it herself since... Well since she can't log on xD Anyways, if this is ignored again, or if the staff simply doesn't trust me, then whatever. I tried to help, and the least they can do is try and contact her and perhaps investigate the 'forgot my password' error issue.

I'm sure staff are going to be fixing the problem for you or anyone else that is having the problem none the less. You'll just have to wait awhile. I'm not sure if anyone other then you is having this issue. If it is only you, then it'll have something to do with your computer I'd imagine. But, we'll have to wait and see.

She tried it and came up with that error, then I tried it and the same thing happened. Why don't you try it for yourself...shrugs

I figured out the problem myself. Problem solved. I was using the wrong password. I forgot the numbers at the end. Oopsies! Well thank you L for trying to help... I feel kinda stupid right now actually because I forgot my pretty simple password. Still don't know why that Error screen was showing up though, I mean someone might wanna see to that buuut it isn't affecting me personally anymore. But i still don't see why it wasn't taking me to the correct place when i clicked on "forgot my password", so hopefully i don't forget it again. Sorry for the wasted time and someone can just close this thread now. Again, I didn't mean any harm. It was an honest mistake. Thanks.

But, if the issue is still occurring then it still needs to be fixed. Thread closure is indeed recommended though, since the main issue is technically solved.
