"It's raining..." Ezekial could feel the raindrops in his outstretched hand as the storm soaked the area. He could here the thunder less than a few miles away. He wasn't going to get very far tonight. This is perfect, he thought Not only is there a thunder storm, there's no way I can make a suitable shelter in time. The darkness wasn't helping either, since he wasn't near any sort of city. Suddenly, lightning flashed, just a few yards ahead of him. Ezekial's eyes darted in it's direction; it would at least give him bearings as to where he was. To his surprise, the flash of light revealed a darkened building. He saw it for less than a second, but that was enough for him to start running towards it. It was better than getting soaked out here, with the rain now pounding away. Ezekial pulled open the doors, rushed inside, and was temporarily blinded by the lights in the room, lights he had sworn he hadn't seen outside. Yet, as creepy as it was, going outside was pointless, and gave no comfort. As his vision returned, Ezekial realized where he was. The foyer of the hotel was huge, and decorated with what seemed like the finest of decorations. Yet, for all of its beauty, there was nobody there... |

"Oh. Hey there!" A girl was sitting behind Ezekial, in a very comfortable plush chair. She was a blonde she-hog with deep blue eyes that seemed to shine brightly. She was wearing an outfit more suitable for Extreme Gear Racing than for a fancy hotel like this. The girl waved at the boy, looking a bit shy but still smiling in a friendly manner. "I got in just before the rain started, luckily enough. But I've been waiting for almost half an hour, and you're the first person I've seen. And I was worried that I'd get kicked out because I'm dressed too casually..." She laughed a little before adjusting the see-through blue goggles on her forehead. It seemed to keep her long bangs from covering her eyes. "I'm Electra, by the way. Sorry if I bothered you." (( Electra's look has changed, but here's a picture:  Her "hair" is just composed of longer quills now. Thinner quills make up her "bangs", so you can see both of her eyes. Usually her "bangs" are hanging over a pair of see-through blue goggles she wears. (She's an extreme gear racer-in-training.) Her eyes are a deep medium blue. Her outfit is the same color as her eyes-maybe a shade lighter. They're like sweatpants, sort of, and a top that shows her midriff. Basically, she wears her racing gear as her casual outfit.  I guess sort of like Wave:  Hope that isn't too much to take in! ))

(Not too much at all.) Ezekial turned, relieved see that he wasn't alone here. This place was still mysterious, but one face was enough to lift the spirits. "My name's Ezekial," he said to the she-hog in the bean bag chair. "And you're not bothering me at all. It's just that..." Here, he looks over the extent of the room. "It seemed like there weren't any lights on from outside, and it seems like you're the only other person here besides me." Maybe it was just him, but something was wrong here. "How did you find this place again?" he asked Electra. |

Truthfully, the girl hadn't noticed the lack of lights, considering that she had adjusted her brightness setting enough to see in the dark, and then automatically readjusted to the new source of light. It's be hard to explain that to this guy, though. She didn't feel obliged to take him on a trip down memory lane. His question brought up another difficulty. Since her little...ah, "accident", she often had trouble speaking like a "normal" person. She kept wanting to throw in electronics-related terms, along with her natural lingo. "Well...I was just looking around for some shelter, and I ended up seeing this place. I figured it was better company than the storm." Although, it's odd that this area wouldn't show up in either the map entry database or my scanners. It's as if this place doesn't technically exist... Edited by [Mika] Gumi, Jan 1 2013, 02:03 PM.

Huh. The girl seemed a little awkward, as if she had something hide... But that didn't matter at the moment. This place was still giving off an eerie aura. The first thing he should do is check through the house and make sure that it was safe. Maybe then he could get some sleep. "If it's all the same to you," he said to the girl, "I'm going to check this place out. I'm still getting the feeling that something's not right. I guess I could start looking in the kitchen, if I can find it." he started towards one of the doors braching out in to the hotel, then stopped, remembering that he wasn't alone on this. "You can help if you want." |

"Of course!" she replied cheerily, standing up and stretching. "It's better not to go alone in places like these. Especially when they give off a slightly creepy aura. Besides...I don't feel like sitting and waiting around by myself anymore." She walked over to Ezekial, peering around a corner. "The kitchen can't be too far from the main lobby..." |

*later* The door to the kitchen slowly swung open as Ezekial crept slowly inside. It seemed normal so far, what with there being the normal kitchen utensils lining the hooks above the ovens. The sink was clear of dirty dishes, and everything was perfectly clean. The only thing that really looked out of place was the large roasted turkey sitting in a pan on top of one of the stoves. Two thought's crossed Ezekial's mind: One, this turkey was just baked, and there didn't seem to be anything else to go with it. It's as if someone knew that they were coming. Two, there wasn't anybody he could see that was here to bake the turkey. He had no idea how it got there, so until he figured it out, he would be on his guard as to eating it. One thing's for sure: "That's... unexpected... " he said as he eyed the room for anything he had missed on his first visual sweep. |

"Yeah, no kidding. It's the opposite of dining and dashing." Electra stepped into the kitchen and wandered around, peeking through the cabinets. It all looked normal enough, but... "...Maybe we shouldn't eat that. Besides: when you're hungry, your other senses are sharper. Hearing, seeing-even your sense of smell." She moved over and lightly poked the turkey with a fork. "Still...kudos to the chef. This is well-cooked." |

(If you don't mind, I'm going to add a little paranormal activity to this RP) Ezekial could easily agree with Electra. The turkey seemed almost perfect in every way, from the juices that seemed to drip from it to the perfectly brown skin. He was still too suspicious to even touch it. "Come on," He said to Electra, "Let's move on. I don't think we'll find anything else here." Meanwhile, in the same room a voice could be heard in Electra's mind. Of course it wasn't her own, but that didn't stop the voice from being heard. "Go on, give it a taste" it said. It sounded like a little girl, one that might seem very out of place here. "Try it, it's good," It continued to press against Electra's thoughts. (In case you haven't guessed, it's a ghost.) |

(( That's fine! It'll probably leave Ezekial wondering what's wrong with this girl, but it should be humorous and a bit creepy. )) (( I hope you don't mind if I add on to the voice at all. )) "Good idea! Maybe we can start checking the rooms." She turned to follow the wolf when her eyes widened in fear. Her voice was still casual, yet it trembled. "Er...Ezekial? Did you hear something?" She then winced, doubling over. Since she refused to listen to the voice, the owner of it seemed to be trying to grip her mind and find a way inside. If that made any sense at all. "...Get...get it...out..." she hissed. Her eyes narrowed and glowed brightly as she growled. "Get OUT I said!" The girl then straightened, panting. She waved at Ezekial, her eyes dimming back to their normal brightness. "Heh, sorry about that. Voices in your head, you know. Ghosts. Hah!.......jeez, that was too close..." |

"Er...Ezekial? Did you hear something?" Ezekial stopped and listened, but he couldn't hear anything. This girl's hearing must be pretty good to hear something that he couldn't. It had to be either that, or - Suddenly, she winced, doubling over. Ezekial's fur rose as he realized that something was wrong. He wasn't sure what to do, however. There wasn't any enemy to see or fight, but she was doubling over in pain nonetheless. "Get... get it... out..." Suddenly, her eyes started to glow. His sense of unease increased, as if it wasn't nearly peaked already. Electra muttered to herself. "Get OUT I said!" The girl then straightened, panting. She waved at Ezekial, her eyes dimming back to their normal brightness. "Heh, sorry about that. Voices in your head, you know. Ghosts. Hah!.......jeez, that was too close..." "Ghosts?" Ezekial questioned. How had she known about ghosts, unless she knows about them. "Are you sure you're okay? That looked a little serious..." It was probably best that none of them heard the thump of a falling chair far away in a distant room. |

Electra waved a hand dismissively, laughing cheerily. In her moment of ease, she accidentally reverted back to her natural way of speaking. "Oh, nothing my programming can't handle! To be honest, I only heard faint spectral sound waves when I was in the lobby, but now they're getting louder. Refusing to let it hack into my brain probably made it mad. Ah, well...a quick scan shows that we're in the clear of any ghostly bodies. To be honest, you're the only normal warm-bodied person I can detect." After a second of realizing what she just said, the girl's grin faded away to a worried look. She kicked the floor gently and blushed; however, her blush wasn't right at all. It was a shade of blue, similar to her eyes. She held up a hand. "I'm sorry...I forgot who I was speaking to for a moment. W-wait! Please don't leave me alone here. It's already freaky enough with spirits trying to hack into my system. I don't really want to go through that alone...and before you ask, it's a long story." |

Now this was a confusing turn of events. Her programming? Spectral sound waves? Hacking in to her brain? Scanning!? This sounded a lot like a... No, it couldn't be... Ezekial started to speak. "You can- !?" before he could continue, she started to blush. It wasn't a shade of blue, something that isn't normal for blushing. She held up her hand. "I'm sorry...I forgot who I was speaking to for a moment." He had already realized that. Whoever it was, it sounded malicious. "W-wait! Please don't leave me alone here. It's already freaky enough with spirits trying to hack into my system. I don't really want to go through that alone...and before you ask, it's a long story." "I'm not going anywhere." Of course he wasn't, with the storm outside. There was also the fact that his interest in the paranormal was letting his curiosity be held hostage. "It's fine if you don't want to explain, but what exactly was that?" |

"What? The weird blood color? My eyes glowing? My weird vocabulary?" She sat down at the table and sighed, removing her goggles momentarily as she combed her fingers through her long bangs. After a few seconds she put her goggles back on her forehead, keeping her bangs out of her eyes. "I used to be a somewhat-normal Mobian. I was born with the ability to manipulate electricity, but I didn't have a lot of control over it. It was pretty underdeveloped, too. Well, Robotnik found out and he captured me. He used me as a catalyst to develop of new energy: a volatile mix of Chaos energy and my electricity. After a few months I got really sick because I wasn't getting rid of the excess energy fast enough. It would have killed me if my friends hadn't performed some sort of operation. My blood was replaced with some sort of blue fluid containing nanobots. I'm...not a natural organic organism anymore. There's not exactly a definition for me...some sort of a cross between an android and a normal person?" The girl sighed and stood up again. "But I'm not going to hurt you or anything. I'm still...well, me." |

Ezekial listened to her story. Whoever this Robotnik person was, he seemed like bad news. (As if he hadn't made enough enemies, he might have to add another one if the guy was anywhere near here.) He understood that she wasn't normal, but that didn't matter. He was used to people who weren't normal, especially since he was one himself. "You know," he said, as if it was just idle talk, "I've seen worse. I don't thing you're going to hurt me, you look like you're in control of you're self." A memory flashed in his mind. His expression faltered for a moment, but he quickly shrugged it off. "Trust me, I'm not afraid of you at all." Yet, one thought continued to linger in his mind. I'm afraid of myself... |
