Right now, speed's our best ally," Taylor said. "We focus on getting in and getting to the rooftops before the sentries return to the compound. From there, we find your sabers, and then... we can completely wreck these Binders' shit," he finished as he got moving through the woods. "Agreed... Speaking of the compound, there it is." She tells him, noticing that most of the outside guards were gone. Turns out their plan ended up working. "I'll follow your lead... Speed is not a problem for me, so do not worry about me keeping up. And if I may, I suggest using a side entrance. I assume the back entrance would still have more guards than the front of side entrance." She tells him, and waited for Taylor to take point. Taylor nodded, rounding the corner of the compound's perimeter wall; as he did he notice a section damaged enough to scale. "Or we can get topside before getting inside the walls," he said. He raised his arm a moment, summoning a quarterstaff to his hand, then slipped it in a holder on his back alongside his rifle. "Up we go." He started climbing to the roof. ----------------- Saber looked around as Taylor started to climb. She waited a moment before climbing up herself. As she climbed her mind started to think. She was actually feeling comfortable around Taylor. Normally she would keep her guard up. Its not like they were on many missions together, or they ventured on several adventures one after the other. In fact, she hadn't seen Taylor for a long time. Either way, she was starting to trust in him more, even more so now that she really couldn't do much without her Sabers. "I believe I know where my Sabers might be once we get inside." She told him. Speaking to him canceled any thoughts coming into her mind. She wanted to stay focus.

"I am not sure exactly where they are, but I can feel them. Once we get inside I'll have a fixed point on where they are... Do you understand this?" She asked, wondering to herself why she even asked that question. It wasn't for him to understand, just to agree with her. What was there to understand anyways, that she should 'feel' her sabers?

"Can you tell where we'd be closest before we get in, or no good on that front?"

However, there is no telling if it will be exactly where we enter. Also..." She paused for a moment, trying to figure out what she was feeling exactly. "Either they have some how duplicated my saber's energy source, or they continued to move it around more than once... I'm detecting several energy signals that resemble my sabers..." She tells him, not sure of what that could mean. The only way to find out was to get in side.

She replied, taking the lead as she felt the energy source of her sabers near by. "I never needed to 'summon' my sabers back to me before. This situation is a bit different than what I'm use to. I've never been badly damaged like that before either... Not to the point of wanting to die." She adds, to which she stopped as she heard a thud coming from behind them. "Father, I'd wish you not be so secretive. It doesn't make those you work with trust you." "I care not for trust. Honor is more important. As long as the mission is done, as long as I honor their wishes and do not break any morals of my own, what else matters..." Syu tells her, joining them as he looked around. "Honor goes hand in hand with trust-" "Wrong... Trust and honor are two separate entities..." She didn't want to argue with her father in front of Taylor, so for now she let it go. "Ready...?" She asked Taylor, ignoring her father for the moment.

Trust's subjective, too, but I'd rather have someone trustworthy at my back, he'd muse) but didn't say anything in direct reply. "Let's get this done," he said as he got the skylight open and dropped down into the corridor. Soon as he landed, he unleashed a wave of fire in any open directions and brought his rifle to bear, turning warily. Anything that was in the way would probably be reeling from the flames, but they'd be pissed if they ever got the chance to recover before they got put down.

Once it was clear she joined Taylor and saw the result of his attack. Five scorched bandit. They weren't even part of this slave binding operation. Or maybe they were. "Bandits... Most likely hired to steal women and young girls..." Saber thoughts, trying to quickly process their presence here. She looked down the corridor, feeling her saber's energy close by. "This way..." She informs them, taking the lead for now as Syu would cover their back. Saber had a feeling Taylor wouldn't like that idea, Syu being their rear guard. He could voice his objection if he wanted. He was still in charge of this mission after all.

It was if he disappeared again that he would be worried about. He paused to give a quick once-over on the bandits... "I think those were my earlier targets," he murmured. He cursorily checked their gear; it had pretty much been reduced to slag, nothing salvageable on them. Then he quickly fell in behind Saber, rifle at the ready in case something came tearing around the corner.

It was light humming, or chimes. Chimes indicated the spirits that chased them out of their campsite. "We may have a problem-" She was suddenly cut off as she heard another light humming sound, this time behind the door their right. Then came another behind them and around the corner. She didn't want to admit it, but maybe they stepped into a trap after all. Either that, or they have extremely bad timing. "In here." She whispered to them as she hurried through the door on their left, seeing as this was their only way to not get caught. She wanted to keep things silent until she obtained her sabers. Once she did that, then all hell could break lose. Once she entered the room she waited for Taylor and Syu to follow in, then she'll close the door gently and wait for the spirits to leave or find another way around them.

Saber comments as she looked around the room. "My saber energy cores are directly below us, several floor down I would think." She tells them, the makes her way to one a container on one of the tables. She opened it and nods, as if she was right. "They separated the core from my actual sabers. Each core has its own spirit energy within it. It makes sense that they would want my sabers now." She adds, collecting her sabers and moving back towards the door. "I can not activate it unless it has some source of spirit energy... Seeing as these spirits are giving off a decent amount of energy, I believe we'll be able to use their spirit particles to power my sabers again." "Which means we'll have to keep charging them until we get your cores back, so don't go wasting them..." Syu cuts in, to which Saber ignored him again. She knew this and didn't need to be told how to ration the energy they would collect from the spirits. The problem was taking down these spirits. "Taylor, you'll need to take down at least two of them before I can use my sabers... Can you handle this?" She asked, noticing that the spirits seemed to be communicating with each other.

Though simple's not the same as easy. But I've done this sort of thing before. He chuckled. "So a-hunting do I go..." With that, he poked out of the side room, scanning the corridor for one of them. "You're right behind me, then, aye?" He didn't wait for the answer as he swooped out and around the door and took a shot.

The second one ripped the door open and flung it behind it, roaring its chime-howl at Taylor before lunging for a strike. All the while Saber remained where she was, wondering if it was wise just to leave Taylor facing off against three of them. She looked behind her and noticed Syu was gone. She nods to herself, knowing he went to aid Taylor. Syu crashed through the hallway window and sliced off the head of the second spirit, causing it to explode into dust. Now all Taylor had to worry about was the one that leaped towards him and took a swing.
