If the last part is true, then it's safe to say that the Fire / Fighting trend will finally be ruled out.

Before a Pokemon who held EXP Share got a portion of the EXP from a battle even if they did not take part in the battle. Now the Pokemon who holds EXP Share has to fight the battle and will get the full EXP from that battle, However EVERY OTHER POKEMON ON YOUR TEAM will gain EXP equal to half of what the holder gains. When combined with the news that Pokemon will now gain EXP after battling a Pokemon that is captured, its clear that Game Freak are aiming to make raising Pokemon easier in the new games.

Come on now it's a RPG, and you should only get experience from defeating your opponent... The only reward you should get from catching the Pokemon is the Pokemon not full exp along with it! It'd be much better if you got half the exp from catching it than getting full exp. Way to ruin "normal" RPG rules Game Freak... With all these lame features I'm just not as hyped about this gen as much as I was when it was first announced. >_> I'm still getting Y, but I might not even get it on it's release day since after all I am saving up for a Wii U and Sonic Lost World which I am more hyped about that game than Y. Gaining EXP on capture of a Pokémon doesn't ruin anything. It's not even stated if you get full EXP for doing so or whether it's a portion of what you would get based on how much damage you dealt. It makes plenty of sense for a Pokémon to gain experience for weakening a wild Pokémon prior to capture. They still have to fight it before its capture and would learn a little more and grow in the process. Change can be good. This is a good change. It doesn't majorly impact on the game any besides the fact you'll now be able to get EXP for any legendary Pokémon you capture. Stop whining over nothing like it's the end of the world. ¦I EXP Share improvements sound okay for general levelling up, but they also sound like they would be a hindrance for any sort of low level mon EV Training. Sounds like it might be back to the old fashioned switch in, switch out method. Unless I just take in the one strong mon to fight stuff and the one I'm trying to EV train by themselves.

Yes, GameFreak should act like everyone else and not try to make things convenient. >People want change >>People complain when there is change I am completely fine with this and like it better. In HG/SS and even B/W, things were sometimes a grind fest when trying to evenly level your teams. Especially for the Kanto gym leaders and ohmygod Red in the former.
