English name is Spewpa. English name is Litleo. It has a new move called Noble Roar. English name is Flabébé. Will have several different appearances based on the flower it is holding. In addition to this, they have also confirmed various names. The starting town, Asame Town will be called Vaniville Town and Hakudan City shall be known as Santalune City. The rival characters will be called Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor The main protagonist that you didn't choose to play as will be called Serena (The Female Trainer), and Calem (The Male Trainer) respectively. Pansy, the journalist, shall be known as Alexa while the City Gym Leader, Viola keeps her name. Shauna is the first trainer you meet and is eager to learn about her friends travels. Tierno intends to create a dance team with his Pokémon. Trevor's goal is to complete the Pokédex, and he's the one to give you it. He'll often compare dexes with you. Serena & Calem are your neighbours. You will also receive the Roller Skates in Santalune City.

I wonder if they'll be a bit faster than the running shoes but Pokelogic is strange... Also I don't care for some of the names such as Calem and Tierno. I know the region is based on France so it'd make sense that they picked French names for the characters but meh. Litleo looks adorable though and it'll definitely be part of my team. :3

I don't know what the one in B/W2 was like but I'm kinda hoping for a villain or Gary Oak-like villain. Like... an actual rival. Judging from their personalities, they seem more like friends then... rivals.

I would love to have a rival like silver again as i feel that he was more hardcore than blue. But i guess game freak wants the rivals to be less serious and more friendly since it's targeted towards kids... >_>

How is that a rival?!). I just miss the personalities of the old rivals. At least this generation, the male trainer's name is much better.

Hugh is one of the best Rivals in the whole series! Great design, decent motivations for his crusade against the evil team, one of the best themes in the series... there's not much I can really fault him for. He's better than Bianca and Cheren were in BW. Might have overtaken Silver as my favourite Rival, actually. Also the notion that your rival has to be a dick to be a proper rival is stupid. There is such a thing as a friendly rivalry. The qualities Fen desires sound better suited to some sort of antagonist. Yes, Gary and Silver were kind of dicks. One was too full of himself (but mellowed out over the course of the game) and the other had a bad childhood (and also mellowed out over the course of the game). Does that mean we need more rivals like them? No.

Does that mean we need more rivals like them? No. I didn't necessarily say he had to be a dick. It's just these rivals don't even have the same goals, thus not even making them rivals to me. Give the rivals more character development, make them more competitive instead of the usual 'hey cheers to us both!' The rivals as of late just seem nothing more then friends with little-to-none character development, thus making them extremely boring to me. A rival hasn't exactly jumped out to me since Silver of Generation II. Granted, I never played B2/W2 so I can't say anything there. ~~God dammit why do you keep arguing against my opinions. >\|~~

Quote: Mr. Masuda is recording a very special message for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y fans! Stay tuned! So . . . More news coming soon it would appear. And Serebii kinda confirmed it. Quote: A new special showcase has been revealed. For the first time ever, Japan will receive a trade show dedicated to Pokémon called the Pokémon Game Show. Running from August 17th to August 18th in Tokyo's Big Sight venue, this event will provide the latest in news for Tretta, Anime and Cards as well as give visitors an opportunity to play Pokémon X & Pokémon Y before others. The full details of this trade show will be revealed in July
