And I was expecting mine to show up. Actually on second though, being killed when you show would be a terrible start. Just kidding here. I'm so confused and intrigued right now. Also Note: You have two "She" at the end of the 2 chapter and Fenroar name is written with a mistake in chapter 3. After Kammy attacks Elise and after Fenroar very own "Charge". Just the my two cents. |

Yeah. I'm calling authorial bull-honkery. Although that's just me being ticked at being slain so unceremoniously. Although that'd probably be a major disadvantage to trying to go Doylist in an RP-character based meta-fic, you don't consider your own character's abilities... Especially if the character's gonna try that sort of stunt that came up when the reapers came in. Still, in this sort of fic, what happens when you're killed by an alternate version of yourself...? This is just me overthinking it, though. And if there is some sort of nesting of reality or something; it breaks as soon as someone in the story notes the significance of that weird, glitchy green eye. |

Ha! You guys are sooooo funny! xD Chocobo... You are wise, sir... But you should know nothing is ever what it seems with me and my stories xD And yeah, I don't mind le two cents, helps me fix mistakes I overlooked and such, thanks!  Next chapter!!(once again, I'll fix any mistakes later/soon. as well, long chapter I think, mainly because of dialog, enjoy.) Chapter 5: Openly Reapers in Lost Tolemac In a blink of an eye, Rabid found himself back in Green Hill Zone. It seemed like the moment he died he simply rewind back to this exact point in time while carrying the memories before he died. He sat there confused. Didn't he just die? "You just gonna sit there looking ugly like that?" A man with a slightly deep voice spoke. He had purple hair that was pushed to the back. An eye patch covering one of his eyes. His skin looked like it was patched together by a number of skins, some human and some were something else. His long black short sleeve shirt reached passed his belt, stopping at his thighs. His brown pants flowed over his black shoes. It suddenly clicked in Rabid's mind who this person was. "Cable...? But... You're not suppose to be here... Where is Saber?" "Saber? Who the hell is Saber?" Cable replied, which only confused Rabid more than ever. "Oh, heads up by the way." Cable states, pointing to the sky. Rabid looked up, only to see a large metal foot about to come down on him. He didn't notice it's large shadow being cast on him. Other wise he would of dodged out the way. Either way, he wasn't worried, as he knew what would come next. "I gotcha!" A blue hedgehog shouts, tackling Rabid out of the way and causing them to roll a bit. The hedgehog smirks as he helped the human to his feet. Before the blue blur could speak, Rabid cut him off to speak for him. "Sonic's my name and speed's my game, I know... We've done this before." Rabid states, not even looking at the hedgehog as he was waiting for something. "Raaaah!!" Right on time it seemed. Pianta leaped high into the air, then slammed her sword into the egg-shaped mecha. The machine flew back, and burst through a wall that seemed to be invisible until now. It revealed the hallway of the Library, which made Rabid smirk a little, as if he started to understand what was going on. "Finally I found you! Pedruben was right after all... Go figure-" "Pedruben? What do you mean Pedruben was right?" Rabid asked Pianta. What she said didn't make sense. This whole time none of them encountered Pedruben, or his slave prinny at all. Pianta waved her hand dismissively at his comment. "Right, right. I totally forgot. Look, I'm from the future. Pedruben sent me back in time to prevent-" "What the hell are you talking about? You can't be from the future. I watched you die by the shinigamis! That isn't something you can just forget!" Pianta was just as confused as Rabid, only she displayed more anger than confusion. "How do you know about the Shinigamis...? We haven't reached that point yet... Something isn't right." Her anger continued to grow as she spoke. It seemed like she didn't like that he knew so much yet they haven't crossed that path yet. "Obviously there is... This doesn't make-" "I was talking about you..." She interrupts him, forming her sword once more as she narrowed her eyes. Rabid got the hint and swung his rifle around to the front, taking aim as he slowly stepped back. "Whoa-whoa! Come on guys, we can figure this out. No need to kill each other over this. I remember both of you just fine!" Sonic tells them, smiling as he stepped in between the two of them. "That's because you vanished when you tried using Excalibur. Us meeting together is most likely reawakening your memory... At least, that is Pedruben's theory." "That is not what happened..." Rabid spoke up, believing in himself that what he experienced, what he knew, did in fact happen. "You're losing focus, Pianta..." Cable spoke up, which startled Rabid as he thought the guy had vanished like Saber did the last time. "Shut it, eye patch-" "You forgot that there was two of them..." Instead of being angry at Cable for interrupting him, a bit of fear swept over her. She looked behind her and realized there was another mecha. Only this one was cloaked. "Rabid! Shoot the green eye!" She shouts, to which Rabid didn't understand what she was talking about until the mecha stomped its foot and caused the ground to shake. He could barely see the mecha, but the green eye symbol was more noticeable than anything. Without thinking twice Rabid took the shot. The mecha exploded with great force, causing the trio to fly through the hole in the wall and slam their backs against the Library walls. Large pieces of the wall also fell to the ground along with them. Luckily none of them got crushed. "Rabid! Pianta!" A voice called to them. The two of them looked to their right as they slowly picked themselves up. It was Josh the hedgehog, or Josh for short, running towards them with a smile on his face. A large shadow was cast upon him, which he didn't noticed until it was too late. He looked above him and barely yelled before a large chunk of the wall crushed him. Sonic slowly got up, shaking his head and oblivious to what just happened. Pianta just shrugged her shoulders, as if knowing he was going to vanish one way or another. "We'll see him later on... Come on, we need to find Elise and her castle." Pianta tells them, but Rabid seemed to object to this. He continued to stare upon the chunk of stone that crushed Josh. In his mind, he kept repeating to himself that Josh was suppose to be Fenroar. This didn't make any sense. Was he wrong about everything? "Rabid!" Pianta shouts, to which he slowly turned around and nods slowly before following them. Nothing was adding up, and what he knew didn't match what as going on. Something was wrong here. Either that, or he was going mad... ------------------------- "Hey... Wake up!" smack! Josh's eyes flung open. He panicked a bit as he quickly looked around, only to find himself staring at Kammy's brightly smiling face. Her smile was that of an angel, soothing, calm, and joyful. "Is he alive or what..." A voice called behind her. Josh looked over her shoulder and sees Fenroar, dressed in what could only be explained as royal garments. Also, there was a crown on his head. He then looked back at Kammy as she giggled a bit, to which he noticed she too had a crown displayed on her head. "Yes, he is very much alive. Aren't you now." She comments, smiling sweetly as she helped him to his feet. Josh was a bit confused at this point. This wasn't suppose to happen, not like this anyways. "I uh... I was expecting... Someone else..." He told them, wiping the the dust off himself. "Who the hell were you expecting, Prince Charming?" Fenroar comments, mocking him as he glared upon the hedgehog. Josh only returned the glare as he slowly rested his hand on the hilt of his sword. "I was actually expecting King Pedruben... And his army of Prinnys..." "The hell are you talking about? The only kings here are me, accompanied by my wife Kammy, and that fat lard called egg-head..." Fenroar explains, giving him more attitude than last time he spoke. Josh wasn't liking his tone. As well, he was acting very different from the Fenroar he knew, or use to know. "Dear, please don't treat our guest with such hostility. After all, he is one of calibur wielders." Kammy tells him, to which Fenroar looked shocked for a moment. He was a calibur wielder? He looked at Josh carefully, focusing more on his sword of course. "Sir Percival! Come forth!" Fenroar called, to which a female cat clad in armor came to his side and bowed next to him. It was at this point that Josh noticed the large army set behind Fenroar. Why didn't he notice this before was beyond him. "This young man is one of the calibur wielders... Found out which one he holds." The cat nods to his command, and slowly walked to Josh. She raised her hands in a surrendered position, to show Josh that she meant no harm. Of course, Josh didn't care what her intentions were, she was getting too close for comfort. He became more alarmed when red symbols on her hand appeared and started to glow the closer she got to him. She quickly stopped walking towards him when this happened and slowly backed away, which caused the markings to vanish once more. "He carries Edge Calibur, my lord." She tells him, then returns to her position within the large army. Fenroar and Kammy looked at each other, smiling as if a miracle was just preformed. "Josh... If you will, please help us. You are one of three members that can use Excalibur to fight off Eggman's metal army... Please, will you help us?" Kammy asked, cupping her hands in front of her as her eyes begged for him to say yes. Josh was already swayed by her soothing voice. He couldn't say no, even more so knowing that his enemy will be Dr. Robotnic. He nods his head to confirm his aid, to which Kammy smiled with delight and gave him a quick hug to thank him. "Come with me, I'll explain everything..." ---------------- "Hey, hey! We found the castle!" Sonic shouts. As soon as he finished his sentence metal knights dropped down and surrounded the trio. Pianta and Rabid were the only ones who didn't take alarm to this. Rabid signaled to Sonic with his hand to relax. The hedgehog thought for a moment, then nods his head and let his guard down. "Come out Elise, I know you're here. I have the calibur weilder with me." Pianta shouts, to which Elise walked out and greeted them with a cold glare. "This man... He is the one?" Elise asked, walking towards Rabid with a sinister feel about her. She was much older than Rabid remembered, and more developed in certain areas. Her armor was different as well. It was more revealing than he remembered as well. "Yes, Rabid is the calibur wielder. Now take us to-" "The hell?" Rabid questioned. Confused by her statement he took a step. "How the hell am I a calibur wielder, I carry a gun!" He shouts, angered and annoyed at how things weren't going according to how they went last time. "Do I really have to explain this to you?" Pianta comments, even more annoyed than Rabid it seems. She sighs, knowing full well she had to anyways. "Calibur wielders don't have to carry a sword, idiot. The calibur spirit is within a certain weapon. Sometimes the calibur spirit comes from the wielder, not the weapon itself. In your case, its your weapon that has the spirit. You should know your own damn weapon by now. You've been carrying that spirit inside of it for years..." Although her explanation slightly made sense, he didn't like her attitude. She was right though. How could he not know his own weapon? Unless he really wasn't himself. Before he could go into a thought battle with himself, Elise spoke up and interrupted his thoughts. "Fine, I'll take you to Dr. Robotnic-" "For the love of GOD!" Rabid shouts. He swung his gun in front of him and aimed it at Elise. The metal knights took a step forward and trained their sights on Rabid. "Rabid, what the hell are you doing-" "Shut up, Pianta! This isn't how its suppose to go! Fenroar was suppose to get punched into nothingness instead of Josh being crushed! Cable should of been Saber! YOU'RE suppose to be the Soul Calibur wielder, not me! And I'm suppose to be King Arthur's son!" Rabid shouts, interrupting Pianta which made her even more angry. In short, she was pretty much pissed off. "Rabid! Stop this nonsense now-" "And you're not suppose to be that damn hot! You're suppose to be younger with less breasts! And Eggman! How the hell does he fit into all this!-" "He's my father!" Elise shouts. This silenced Rabid for a moment, yet his insanity was still rolling as he continued to aim at Pianta, then at Elise, then back at Pianta. This little dispute was interrupted as the sound of thunder could be heard off in the distance. They all turned around and saw their rival army heading towards the tower. "Damn it!" Pianta shouts. "Knight 2385, report to the castle and inform my father that the army of Tolemac is advancing on the tower! Send the entire fleet!" Elise shouts, to which one of the metal knights burst into flight towards the castle as Pianta started to run towards the tower. Rabid didn't know what to do. After watching Elise follow Pianta he decided to join them, keeping his gun to his front. "I'll set up somewhere high and start picking them off one by-" He stopped himself from informing them of his plan. Why didn't he do this before? Then it came to him. Where was Sonic? "What happened to Sonic!?" "He's already at the tower! God, you're so annoying! That was the plan the whole time! We were suppose to be the distraction for Sonic to enter Egg-head's base and collect the emeralds! That way he can activate Excalibur properly!" "What!! You planned on double crossing me!" Elise shouts after hearing Pianta's true intentions. "Shut the hell up already! You were planing to kill Egg-head in his sleep anyways! Once you found out he killed your mother that is!" Pianta's words struck a nerve, causing her to slow down a bit as she tried to contain her tears and her anger. "Come on! Keep up-" Suddenly, the tower explodes as a beam of black light engulfed it. Another explosion goes off, sending out a shock wave that knocked everyone off of their feet. Some of the metal knights exploded, releasing energy-like orbs of different colors into the air. Rabid caught sight of this, and wondered why furry creatures didn't pop out. He grunts in pain as he slowly stood to his feet. A large dust cloud covered the collapsed tower, yet everyone could see a figure walking out from the debris. "Well... That was new..." Pianta comments. Apparently to her that didn't happen before. What came next also surprised her. Sonic came forth out of the smoke, yet he was transformed. The black beam of light still reached into the sky, and soon it started to become night time. Dark monsters started to come out of the ground, following this newly formed Sonic. "No... This can't be... This is why my father wanted him dead!" Elise shouts, struggling to stand to her feet. "The werehog will rise along with a dark army... The Dark Iblis Army..." She informs them, wincing in pain a bit as she finally stood up. More dark monsters surfaced, forming a large army as the evil werehog continued to march towards them. Suddenly, a massive energy force slams upon all of them, causing even the werehog to drop to his knees and scream with pain. "What the hell IS that!" Pianta shouts as she tries to remain on her feet, but failed and was quickly forced on her hands and knees. Finally the pressure was lifted, to which everyone gasped for air and relief. Rabid's eyes narrowed with intensity, as he knew exactly what that pressure was. "Its a lot worse than that Dark Iblis Army..." He tells them, striking fear into both Pianta and Elise as they slowly stood to their feet. Rabid looked towards Sonic, noticing the large doors, and noticing that the doors were already open. A loud monstrous roar came from Sonic as a sword plunged into his back and burst through his chest. The shinigami placed it's hand on Sonic's head as the sword was ripped out. He was then tossed aside like a rag-doll, his body flopping around until it slid across the floor to a halt. Rabid was completely shocked though. Instead of seeing Lilfate as the killer, his eyes stared upon Pianta, dressed in the shinigami's outfit. To her right was Fenroar, and to her left was Kammy. She moved out of the way to allow more shinigamis to come through the doors. It was at this point that Rabid's mind was completely blown away. Walking out along side Lilfate was himself. His eyes were widen and yet his mind was completely blank. "No snowflakes this time..." Rabid spoke to Lilfate, grabbing a sword that was strapped to his side and unsheathing it. "Hmm... Motionless targets gets boring after a while. I kinda like the chase of it." Lilfate replies, smirking a bit as he looked at Rabid for a moment. Rabid thought for a moment, then shrugged as Pianta joined them. "Pedruben and his squad are done. Apparently their little hunt as lead them here, so he'll be joining us." "Oh good! I miss playing with his prinny!" Kammy interjects, smiling a bit as she adjusted her sword on her waist. "We're not here to play, Kammy... Well, we can at least have a bit of fun-" "Hey!!" A voice called to the shinigamis. It was the other Rabid, aiming his rifle at them as he slowly walked towards them. "Oh look... Taylor is advancing on us..." Fenroar pointed out, joining the group while he was sheathing his sword. "Did you start without us, Fenroar?" Lilfate asked, squinting his eyes as he playfully glared at him. Fenroar simply shrugged with a nervous smile. "What... Someone had to take care of the dark army of doom-" "I said hey!-" "Yeah we heard you! What the hell do you want!?" Rabid shouts back at himself, or rather, according to the shiningamis, shouts back at Taylor. He couldn't find the words to speak anymore. He didn't think being shouting at by himself would wreck him this much. "I... What the hell is going on!" The shinigami group only stared for a moment. It was like they didn't want to explain something that took so much time and effort. "Rabid... He's kind of annoying... Wanna kill him now?" Pianta comments, to which Rabid sighs and nods his head. He mumbled something which turned his sword into his rifle. The other version of him started to panic and took aim again. Before he could pull the trigger the shiningami had fired and ripped a bullet through his shoulder. He shouts in pain, dropping his weapon and falling to the floor. Not a second went by as the shinigami appeared next to him. "I thought this was an honorable feat. Killing you every single time... Honestly though, this is the fiftieth time I've killed you over a time span of five hours... You couldn't imagine how many other times I've ended you... How many other times I've told you this exact same thing... You're not the first one to remember pass events... You're one out of four today..." "Hey! Rabid! Stop talking to your self and give us a hand! I don't wanna be stuck her forever ya know!" Pianta shouts, which caught the attention of the other Pianta, confusing her so much as that she could only repeat one single phrase. "That's me... That's me... That's... That's me..." "Anyways... Once again, I'll see ya soon... If you remember that is." With that said, Rabid lifted his rifle and aimed it as 'Taylor's' head. This time he didn't pause before he pulled the trigger and shut his heads... "We're getting close..." Lilfate tells Rabid. He only replied with a slow nod as he stared at his own corpse. "Doesn't it bother you...?" Rabid asked, to which Lilfate simply shrugged. "Can't answer that question... I haven't killed myself yet... But when I do, I doubt it'll be the same... Come on, we're moving on." Lilfate tells him, to which he nods once again and follows Lilfate back to the large doors. All around them were dead bodies, countless of dead bodies. Before he entered the doors he turned around and looked about once more. The entire place was falling apart, breaking up into pieces and falling into an endless dark abyss. With a final sigh, Rabid walks through the doors as they slowly closed shut. Soon, they fade from appearance, much like the world they were just in, and everyone who was in it...
