I object to your claims

I think this topic speaks for itself. What level really annoys you? What level is the one that makes you rage quit the game at times? This is the topic to rant about them. I should start this off with the ever classic Carnival Night Zone. And no, it's not The Barrel I have a problem with. That thing I think is only annoying when you don't know what to do. Once you figure it out, it becomes the easiest thing in the world to bypass. There are things that are far worse - like those stupid bumpers that send you back in narrow hallways so you are constantly trying to think of ways to get past but everything you try sends you backwards over and over again and you have to time things just right to get through. And even that doesn't really help you. There are other things I have an issue with, but that's one of the main things wrong with it to me. I also hate this one area where if you fall off a certain part, you end up being quite a ways back from where you had falling from. And since the game runs on a time limit, you can see how this can be rather annoying. |

Speaking of SA2, Radical Highway's fourth mission is a freaking nightmare at times. |

Dear god it is. What was the time limit? Three minutes? I don't think I ever finished it in less that three in a half. Good thing I had Action Replay~ On a side note, am I the only one who's really angry that Shadow got the least amount of play time in SA2? Seriously, he had four levels while everyone else had at least five, (if you count the racing levels, and at least six if you count Cannon's Core, which Shadow also did not get a part in) and they were all pretty short too. Sky Rail is like, two minutes long. |

Finally someone said it! That mission is crazy! The only way you can beat said level is if you know the shortcuts, most of which require perfect execution or you will die. |

Come to think of it, some of the time attack missions in SA1 can be frustrating. Am I the only one who struggles to complete Emerald Coast in under two minutes? |

Yeah, the A missions in SA1 could be a pain too. Especially since in SA1, restarting only sends you back to the last checkpoint (or was it the beginning of the part of the stage you were on?) and not the actual start of the stage so you could start fresh. |

It sends you to the last checkpoint with the same time as you died i think, not sure. Edit: Just check but on Sonic Adventure DX it saves your time each checkpoint, so if you end up dying, you return with the same time as you passed the checkpoint. Edited by Silver Miles, Dec 30 2012, 12:39 PM.

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!

Oh my, there is quite a few frustrating levels in this dang series. :3 Eggmanland (both versions) is essentially an endurance run with the hardest level design since Genesis days. I have only 3 achievements left in Sonic Unleashed 360, all pertaining to this stage. God, do I hate it... Dusty Desert (Silver), not really too much of a pain for some, but I hate this level regardless. First, Silver's gameplay is very tedious already, and having to control the slow Amy in the middle of the level is more skullbashing. But the worst is the ball puzzles, especially the final one. Silver doesn't quite accurately direct the balls, and the final puzzle has twists and turns that are passable, but but slim to none to get by. (Sorry, I really hate this stage )Lost Impact (Hero Mission); I remember my first playthrough of Shadow the Hedgehog, and the first story ark was an all-good story. Little did I know, it was a trap. Upon the fifth mission, Lost Impact was second to last level. But what was the mission? Kill all the artifical Chaos. Easy? Well, no; there was 35 to be destroyed. But the map is essentially a huge maze that loops in a total time of about 20 minutes your first run. So one screw up and you have to loop all the way around because you can only go back so far. I did this many time and to this day, I never dare pick that stage again, (I already got an S-rank!) Mystic Mansion is a trainwreck. And by that, this place is huge. Averaging about 15 minutes, this stage is combined with difficulty, traps, and luck. and when doing Chaotix, you have to blow out all candles, which is huge pain, but if you miss one, you go all the way back! ![]() That's all I can think of for now

Now that you bring that up, is it even possible to complete Emerald Coast in less than two minutes? I certainly never managed it. |

"I didn't use the whole thing ...."

It requires plenty of spindash boosting and cutting corners but it is possible to finish it in about 1 minute and 45 seconds. |

Oh yeah, the fourth missions of the later treasure hunting stages in SA2 can be really annoying due to huge the stages are. |

Fear the cold...

I hated Shadow the Hedgehog's Space Colony Ark. It took forever to do the neutral mission, and I can never find all of the creatures. |

Yeah he probably meant Lost Impact. There were like, five ARK levels in that game. xD; Speaking of Shadow the Hedgehog ARK levels, whoever has gotten to play Expert Mode probably knows what a damned nightmare Cosmic Fall is. The midair fire hoops section in Circus Park was no walk in the park either. ...oopsimadeapun |
