I think this topic speaks for itself. What level really annoys you? What level is the one that makes you rage quit the game at times? This is the topic to rant about them. I should start this off with the ever classic Carnival Night Zone. And no, it's not The Barrel I have a problem with. That thing I think is only annoying when you don't know what to do. Once you figure it out, it becomes the easiest thing in the world to bypass. There are things that are far worse - like those stupid bumpers that send you back in narrow hallways so you are constantly trying to think of ways to get past but everything you try sends you backwards over and over again and you have to time things just right to get through. And even that doesn't really help you. There are other things I have an issue with, but that's one of the main things wrong with it to me. I also hate this one area where if you fall off a certain part, you end up being quite a ways back from where you had falling from. And since the game runs on a time limit, you can see how this can be rather annoying. |

Sonic Adventure's Lost World, Sonic's version, really irritates the living bejesus out of me. I want to clear the stage fast but there's that part with the mirrors. OOOOHHHH!!! Sandopolis Zone act 1 is another. The only reason is because I don't like the stage very much but mostly because it's hard to distinguish when you're coming up on the mini-boss. The stage really looks like it repeats itself. In Carnival Night and Launch Base Zone there are obvious gimmicks placed in certain areas that sort of indicate how far I am in the stage. Last but not least, the HD Eggmanland!!!!! Oh my what a son of a gun. With so many falls and such just waiting to happen plus the excruciating length makes this a tough stage in deed. Amazing Arena act 4 can also become quite the pain in the balls. Although I like the stage at anytime of the day with the colors and what such not to mention fitting very well with Knuckles Chaotix's style, sometimes that clock indicator can be extremely inaccurate. Just in that act. |

All that was.

Have to agree with this, not too bad a level on it's own, but as a kid I literally couldn't beat it for a good few weeks of trying (can't for the life of me remember why), and now whenever I'm trying to run through fast I always get screwed up and end up drowning in the chamber where you ride the snake and flood the room. Other than that Crisis city in Sonic Generations as Classic Sonic, another that's a pain in the ass when you're trying to speed through it especially when you're trying to get an S-Rank, you've got to be fast, but if you're too fast then an almost perfect run of the level can be completely ruined when a big fiery tornado that blends in with the background just suddenly fades in and instantly kills you right before the goal. |

I'd also say that a couple of Heroes' stages are frustrating, Lost Jungle, Mystic Mansion, and Final Fortress come to mind. I don't know why, but it took me numerous attempts to beat them. Oh and 06's Speed sections, they can kill you so much, if you mess up. Especially in Crisis City. |

The only Heroes level I found to be frustrating on my first play though was the Chaotic's Mystic Mansion, But that was only because it took me about half an hour to find the one blue flame that I missed. |

I remember playing the original Crisis City and I couldn't complete more than the first part of the stage. It was a little after the snowboarding down the buildings part. As far as the Generations version goes I did have a hard time with the classic Sonic one at first but I kept playing it. I just changed the music so it was a little less Doom-ish. |

Launch Base Act 1

For me I'd say attempting to get an S-rank in Eggmanland (Wii version). There's a particular part near the end where there is a winding platform and either I just haven't got the knack for it or my hands are unsteady. Either way, if I fall off I know I will miss my chance for an S-rank and I will have to restart completely from the beginning. Even more frustrating since it's the longest stage in the game. |

Oh god. HD Eggmanland. So much death. So much horror. It was the longest level I ever played in any of the Sonic games, and a chunk of that is cause I kept dying. Sonic 06, the last story, where you play as each of the chars trying to get the chaos emeralds. Shadows is the worst, cause near the end or something, there's a energy ball hing that appears not far from the edge that you bounce up to. |

Off the top of my head... Non-HD Eggmanland, because I never really did manage to beat it. Crisis City Modern Version, from Sonic Generations. I found this level infuriating, for some reason. xD Literally the only level in the game which I preferred the Classic Version of. Rail Canyon and Bullet Station, from Sonic Heroes. Why? Grinding rails are hideous, and nearly impossible to jump between. They are, admittedly, fun levels in themselves, but in my experience you're more likely to end up in the pit than on the next rail over, when you try to jump between. |

I honestly don't see what's so frustrating about Lost World. ;P The only problem I had in that level was the area where you had to walk on the glowing walls. And even then it wasn't really that bad. I agree %100 on Eggmanland HD though. Quite annoying. |

Contrasting a lot of what I've seen in this thread, Lost World was actually my favourite level in SA. xD It's fun, even if a bit slower paced, and the puzzles were gripping (even if the glowy walls weren't as "gripping" as they should have been at times, haha). |

I think I own you all. Shadow the Hedgehog's Cosmic Fall. I spent WEEKS trying to beat it. If you miss even one jump in one of the falling platform sections, your run is over. |
