I'm happy with the animated shorts, but I think the problem is that no matter what they do, there will be disillusioned fans, thus it's never going to happen. Some people will want an Archie adaptation, some people will want a basic plot movie, some people will complain that a movie's coming out AT ALL. |

People will complain about any movie coming out. Breaking Dawn, Amazing Spider-Man, Hansel & Gretel, the Hobbit.. All of these movies had people pissin and moanin about them but seriously that's just how it is. People complain about almost every movie, they find something wrong with almost every movie. It's really hard to satisfy movie-goers (except for me, I find even the most horrible movies somewhat entertaining). So of course lots of people are gonna complain if there was ever a Sonic movie coming out. However, there would be just as many people excited about it, I'm sure. I like the idea, but to be honest I'd like to see it based somewhat in the real world. Of course, it could be in station square or something. But, the filming should be in the real world and just animation for the characters. The voice actors used for the entire Sonic Adventure DX game are by far the best. Not quite done research into the names of the actors who voiced them, but it was still the best voice acting for the series as a whole, in my point of view that is. But then again, another movie based upon Sonic the Hedgehog would be a bit of a downfall. I mean, I sort of think the animated movie was enough. But, I'm just saying that if they ever plan to produce another, it not be entirely animated. They might as well make a sequel to the animated original if they plan on making it fully animated. Oh, and one more thing. Don't make it look anything like this if someone does decide to make one. Animated or not. Just, for the sake of my faith in humanity.

Hmm, another new Sonic movie? That's a hot button... To be fair, I was satisfied with the 5+ cameos Sonic was in, in Wreck-It Ralph. But if they do plan on a feature length movie, it's got to be handle with care. And while I don't see it happening, I would be very curious to see the outcome, whether it good or bad

I'd love to see a SOnic movie. I've actually thought of different ideas on what it'd be about. Anyways here are some things I'd like if they did. Live Action- I'd love to see it a live action movie and not another animated one. But in doing so they'd have to be careful of a few things. #1 is that fact that most of the time when a movie is made about an animated main character they normally team him up with a normal human. (This is fine if he/she is already in the main series like Scooby-doo). This is evident in some movies like transformers. While Chris Thorndike was ok in some ways in the Sonic X series. he was never a character in the games so I really hope they don't try to partner up Sonic with a live action character. The second thing they need to watch out for is who will play the actual humans from the universe. True some humans like the GUN Commander, The President, or random GUN soldiers probally won't be to cared about as of to who plays them. But the main one would be who plays Eggman. Also which version of Eggman is also the question but honestly it depends on where the movie takes place. In the Classic era: then we'll be getting classic Eggman or Dr. Robotnik as he was known then. (FYI Dr. Robonik is still Eggman's name. Eggman is actually a nick name as you can see in the intructions it says 'Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik". and Sonic adventure and on you'd get modern Eggman. Plot: I'd say a good one would be to remake one of the actual games. Ofcourse, the classic games didn't have much of a storyline. I'd say they could maybe start with Sonic adventure and work there way up. Even so they could even adjust the plot if they need to to take out any characters they wanted. (Amy and Big could easily be taken out of the storyline.) If they don't do this I'd still like to see them make Sonic be on Earth and make it more Realistic. I had one idea with like Mobius or where game 1 and 2 take place are actually on a island unknown to the rest of humanity. (I placed it in the center of the bremuta triangle and said that the reason for the Triangle is either the Chaos Emeralds or the Gold Rings.) The problem with making Sonic and Co. being from another planet and coming to earth is how would you add Angel Island to Sonic Adventure tie in? Even though in the games the name of the planet is actually Earth. This is found out in Sonic Adventure 2 when Eggman was address the planet as he demonstrates the eclipse cannon. His opening line is "Citizens of Earth" But it's obviously a different universe as you have the United Federation instead of the United States (this is evident because the United Federation has a White House as seen in Shadow the Hedgehog.) Voice acting: My favorite voice actor for Sonic was jason Griphith. (If I misspelled that then it's the sonic who did the voice from Sonic adventure - Sonic Unleashed.) So I'd also probally go with the Sonic adventure cast for the voice acting. Though some of the newer cast isn't as bad (refering to the cast from Sonic Colors and On.) Director: I'd actually like to see the movie directed by Michael Bay. He did a great job with Transformers and Battle ship and I liked how he had it have a more realistic feel to it. (Even how the Army/Navy or armed forces would deal with the cituation. In sonic's case it'd be GUN which is similer to it.) So I'd like to see him Direct it. |

That'd be cool, and could work well, live action or animated. There was a Sonic Fan Film released like a month ago which is sorta like a prequel to the first game, and combined game series elements with elements of the Archie Comics. It's actually really good, considering the amount of work put into it. I imagine something like that wouldn't go wrong. Oh yeah, and Jaleel White voiced Sonic in it, too. |

It's great, the emerald hunt and mech battle modes really slow down the game though. :/ Maybe it's just me. Sonic fan, for years and years, and still am. A Sonic movie would not be a bad idea, but if it was anything like that fan-film that came out a few weeks ago, I'll pass. The main thing I worry about is plot, characterization, which characters will be in said movie, and who will be voicing them. If it is executed properly, then I wouldn't mind heading to the theatre to watch it. |

I'd love a new Sonic movie. I think a 3D animated film would be awesome, but mainly I'd want a deep plot with a very good story, the best way I can think of to make it that way is to resolve the story around Shadow to an extent, yet keep Sonic as the main character in the film (don't want it to end up as Shadow The Hedgehog: The movie!). If Sega actually made it, I think it could actually turn out well. |

I personally think there are alot of possible ways they can take a sonic movie. With all the CG movies nowadays there would be little to no effort to make it. As for a story for the movie they just one just use the games and edit it a bit to make it last longer and set up for sequels and whatnot. Example, Sonic Adventure series. I personally think that'd be easy enough to do. Or just make a new story. Have it set in sonic's universe not a human one and make it about angle island, or something happens to the chaos emeralds and they start outputting evil or something. I for one would love to see a new sonic movie but with the bad wrap sonic has come to have, I don't see one in the near future till sonic's comeback. |
