So you know this place is named Sega Channel for general Sega discussion but did you know it was named after a service Sega had for the Mega Drive/Genesis? It was a subscription service through your cable company called Sega Channel and gave you access to 50 games a month and they would rotate every month.

My neighbor actually had this and at the time I thought it was the coolest thing ever! Read up about it on Wikipedia to get a better idea and let me know if you ever got to use this service and/or what you think! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Channel

I object to your claims
Wow, really? I had no idea this thing even existed. It certainly would have been a nice service to have.

I do remember reading about it in a magazine right around the time when the Sega 32X was announced dead. Although, no info was about the games released just about the service.
And yes, I did guess why this place was called Sega Channel around the time I first made a post in this section. Turns out I was right.

I know that Nintendo offered something like this called Satellaview? where they had a few LoZ games in which one was similar if not a graphically enhanced remake of the first, as well as a game that eventually became Chrono Cross. I never heard about the one Nintendo offered until a few years ago.
