Welcome to the Cottage! This thread will be for basic chit-chat that doesn't inherently belong in a topic. There is only one rule!

  • No Substantive Discussion: If it can have its own thread, it should have its own thread. You can post interesting things in here, but if they spin off into their own discussion, make sure to create a topic for it. Remember, idle chit chat is the name of the game.

There's a blacksmith you can beat in Gwent that'll trigger a sidequest to find a master blacksmith. I can't remember which one, though. I'm not home right now to check.
Yeah, found him, but he's just amateur level too. The armorer at Crow's Perch, he's Journeyman, though. So I've got the armor made, I just need... yeah.

Half a mind to yutz around Oxenfurt now that that's open, maybe I'll find a guy there. Still haven't checked out half of Velen yet, though...

Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk.

Annnnnnd, that isn't gonna happen but still, a record of 1:10 slashing up my chomperangs is still pretty impressive.

Huh... so that's what those two scholars from Witcher 2 wanted to test on Geralt... funny.

Okay, finally. Took for-freaking-ever, but I finally found a journeyman swordsmith in Novigrad. >_>

Feel like hunting the Cat School gear, though I've the enhanced Griffin set now.

I'm devastated. I was THIS CLOSE to completing the "to slay a sorceress" challenge in FFRK, and it ends AS SOON AS I WAS FINISHED WITH MY DINNER! NOOOOOOOOO!

There goes my chances of getting Rinoa from FF8......

Now....to get Lenna from FF5, which is another one of those collect-a-thon challenges. Greeeeat.

Anyone guess what game I'm playing?

If you've the mind, seek out Hattori in Novigrad. He's a master level swordsmith.

No. No he's not. He's a dumpling seller, 'cuz he's a daft-coward elf.
Found my guy out by the fish market in the daytime.

(Okay, how bad's the quest to get him back in the smithing business, because the game says it recommends being level 24.)

I did it at level 9, with a lot of patience and liberal use of Quen.

-whistle- Hardcore. I'll have to get around to it anyways, as well as the Crow's Perch armorer's request, if I'm ever gonna get to the masterwork sets.
