I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but it's definitely not as cut-and-dry as it could be. Decisions, especially about love and whatnot, are hard to make, and you'll never be entirely sure of what you're doing or if who you're with is going to be permanent. But you may as well put those concerns aside until it's time to address them and enjoy what you have while you do. If you do that, those worries will melt away if you feel like that person is special to you. While none of that pertains to you currently, it's something to keep in mind in the future, assuming you consider me as a person whose advice is worth taking. For now, just understand that hardships like this will come along in life, and how you handle them now is what defines you as a person later in life. You'll grow from it, and though it might hurt now, just remember that there's always people there for you, including everyone on here. So just surround yourself in people and things you love or that make you happy, combine that with a little time, and the pain will fade. Just don't let the experience ruin love for you. Always keep your heart and your mind open. "I thought you were bad at giving advice?" Consider it a spontaneous burst of spontaneity. Whether or not it's 'good or 'bad' advice isn't really my call. Just don't wanna see someone down in the dumps. |

The advice is sound. My experience is admittedly pretty limited in this regard, but my thoughts and feelings on the subject are pretty similar. Best to just live in the moment and enjoy it without worrying too much about what may go wrong down the line. At the end of the day if you enjoyed your time with the person it wasn't time wasted. Just my two cents. |
