Welcome to the Cottage! This thread will be for basic chit-chat that doesn't inherently belong in a topic. There is only one rule!

  • No Substantive Discussion: If it can have its own thread, it should have its own thread. You can post interesting things in here, but if they spin off into their own discussion, make sure to create a topic for it. Remember, idle chit chat is the name of the game.

It's a demo. The whole point is to give you a little taste before the game comes out. They give you too much and you won't feel the need to buy it.

I reckon adding the Wii-Fit Trainer to the demo would have been nice, though. Three veterans, the first three newcomers. Ah well. Mega Man was the one I had the most interest in anyway.
But only ONE stage? Screw that shit. They should have had a couple more.

It's. A. Demo.

You take your one stage and you like it! It's the best one anyway. And you even get two versions, so pseudo-Final Destination is selectable too. Besides which, adding the extra stages would increase the demo size. Two versions of a stage + two tracks for each. Ech.

Just consider the extra stages one more thing to look forward to for when the full thing is released~

First off, what is this about Battlefield having two versions?

Second, even for a demo, one stage is too little.

If you press the X button during the Stage Selection Screen, the match turns into a "no items with a Final Destination-esque stage" mode, officially known as Omega Mode. Now we just need everyone playing as Fox.

Also, I kinda-sorta would've liked to see either Wii Fit Trainer (to round off the first three newcomers like Chaos said) or Kirby ('cuz I see him, Mario, Link and Pikachu as the "Elite Four" of Smash) in the demo, but eh. At least Villager is pretty fun. Still trying to get used to Mega Man, though.

What Dusk said.

And it's really not. Most demos revolve around a single stage. Or heck, even half a stage in terms of stuff like The Wonderful 101.

Ignoring stage selections, the demo has a pretty large selection of items in it. Pokéballs and Assist Trophies are probably missing a few characters but like... most of the major stuff revealed is in there. It's a really good demo. Better than most I've played tbh.

Yes Ludi, I know that it's a demo. All i was griping here was that at least two stages and some options. I wasn't asking for the whole kit and kaboodle.

Ok, now that that's outta the way, and because i'm way too lazy to post in the SSB thread, how many smash coins have you gotten? Last i checked, i think i got 1,141 smash coins....I think.

Plus...I can fight level 9 AI.

And yes, I like the two newcomers. Pretty good with them. Then again I'm kinda good with all fighters.

And then the second stage they would've added is Final Destination with the sixth character being Fox.

I would have simultaneously been unleashing rage and laughing.

Last I checked I had around 2k gold. I'd probably have a lot more if I didn't get sick. Don't feel like playing my 3DS much when I"m like this. It had better clear up by the time the game has relased. Egh.

So I got bushwhacked on my first Pokemon X link battle.

Random casual battle; other person had four legendaries, Delphox and Talonflame.

The mon that did my team in was the Talonflame.

I never said it was a bad demo, but a certain factor about it still bothers me.

Talonflame is pretty much one of the top tier mons in OU this generation. Crazy fast, does crazy damage. It's a pretty popular choice for competitive teams.

I should train up a team with mythical mons on it. Might as well make use of the ones I brought over.

It should be noted that most of Talonflame's OP-ness is because of it's hidden ability, Gale Wings, and it's pretty hard to find one with it.
