I can't help it but rant a bit. The game's Knight and Merchants, and it's a RST with a lot of micromanagement, beautiful graphics, where you don't control the workers, simply lay out a path and they follow it, the worker itself has a little animation where he hits the building with a hammer and each hit makes the building change ever so lightly, more wood, more stone, piece by piece, has the house is build. It's pretty great compared to some strategy games where the building rises or just gets build in the middle of dust. And there's a gazilion things to keep track of, instead of two or 3 resources there's a list of around 20. And then there's lines of construction, so you need someone to collect tree trunks, some one to cut them into wood planks, someone to turn those into weapons and train a recruit. THEN you can train a unit to fight. And then everything goes down hill. The fighting system is BROKEN beyond belief. This game may have a good number of years, but it's bad. Each unit has a sort of "commission" it belongs to. So every unit is in it's own team and you control the whole team. And there's two problems there. One, if one unit in the team is fighting you lose complete control of everyone else. So if there's a team of archers attacking you and a big defensive unit in the way they'll spend most of the time fighting that unit that hear your pleas to attack the archers. They might, eventually, even without defeating the other guy, if you're lucky. The archers seem to have a number of shoots they can fire, sometimes they fire when you tell them, some they don't, it's stupid. And they have a minimum range, with is pointless, dumb, and makes no sense. Also, ALL of them, so if the first are being hit by an axe, well the others are going to stay still... because, I guess.
