Cakes, you're kind of proving my point by being so sensitive about it. There's no need to take it as a personal attack on you. I'm basing this on the American TV I've seen. Therefore, I can assume this is the general attitude the country shares. No, not everyone will think in that way. But I can say that of any culture. I'm not going to tip toe around what should be a harmless observation I've made because someone might take offence. People really need to get thicker skin. Obligatory apology for the offence you seem to have taken. But I'm not going to change what I think just because of my position. It's not like it effects my moderation ability in any way. It's simply an opinion I've formed over the years, and that's all it will ever be. |

That's the funny part about it though, I'm not being sensitive about it, I am simply telling you how it is. Don't get it mixed up or twisted. And it's kinda stupid that you would judge an entire country off of a single American television show you've seen. I'll get back to you when that makes sense to me. Ugh, again didn't see that last part. You don't have to change the way you think. You can think what you want all day long. But if what you think turns out to be something offensive when it is put into written words, then maybe you shouldn't be in a position to talk to anybody. And that's not you, that's everybody. People are so offensive today, mainly because the majority think it's "okay" to be that way. It really ain't. I don't know who gives people that idea. Admittedly not the argument I was expecting to see when clicking here. Being overly defensive about it though tends to mean you're being rather sensitive to this. You're kinda really overreacting what I just thought to be a small post / jab from Ludi. Anyway, slowly making my way in The Last of Us. Ellie is best companion character. |

This place is pretty well known for its off-the-cuff humor and randomness. I think you overreacted excessively here KC. If there's an actual offense, I expect it to be reported through the built in system. No country can call itself supreme and hold the moral high-ground over the other. Part of the role of leadership and security is having an objective viewpoint. Give me arguments that such and such country is the worst of the world because they commit genocide and drop the F-bomb and I can probably show, with evidence, the same behavior being done by the United States itself. I've done so in college papers. If you want to go into more detail on such a subject, I ask that you take it private or to a better chosen part of the board. I'm not going to have the Shack become some kind of scratching post. |

To put my opinion in; Ludi's got it a bit wrong anyways. Don't blame the nation for the censorship, blame the networks and producers, they're the ones actually in control of that particular policy. That said, I will agree that US society is just a tad obsessively politically-correct nowadays... |
