From what I understand about HD remakes the gameplay code is basically ported straight over so I imagine it would. Would certainly saved on action replay discs.

On a slightly related note, and this might have been brought up before, but I love now NiGHTS into Dreams got a complete graphical overhaul but SA2 is still just an identical port of SA2B with the Battle parts put into DLC.
