This is exactly what I was trying to say. It has to be up to each character to form their own beliefs on the morality of the factions. I also agree with L on the races thing. We should have 7 or 8 core races. These aren't necessarily the only races so much as the most well known and prominent. This way players could also possibly create their won races as well that aren't part of the big 8. This is also good for the plot because so many races would inevitably lead to some racism which could become part of the plot(s). |

So! still waiting around for some core races to be thrown out. Also, a definite number of how many core races there should be. While updating my first post with what we have so far, humans and some form of AI/Robot race are two just from world ideas. Although, I'm not so sure a AI/Robot race should be a core race... We'll have to talk about this one I guess. But of course and without a doubt, humans is one. Now, lets talk about other races... Like, furrys/anthros, since this is a Sonic forum after all xD So, maybe besides those two, what other races should we throw out there, and how many? Now, while you're all thinking about that, we still need a few more worlds and factions to put in this. Lastly, here is what I've updated in my first post. Everything that has (more info to come) means I'd like to confirm what is there is solid. Which means if you think something needs to be added, taken away, ect, please let me know. And now, wall of text = what we have so far. ---------------------------- Worlds Gaia Originally earth, Gaia is the a resource rich planet that is stuck in the medieval era of technology, mainly using swords and melee weapons. They have advanced technology because of trade routes with other worlds, mainly from Syncro. Still, they keep to their medieval way of life and government. Main population is, but not limited to, humans.(more info to come) Credit to = Flare100 Talon A jungle world plants and trees cover it entirely all the locals are in-tune with nature.(more info to come) Credit to = Flare100 Syncro One of the many technologically advance worlds. The atmosphere is made of rat poisoning, so no organic beings can survive out in the open without a space suit of some kind, or any type of breather mask or helmet. The the majority population is highly advanced robots. Their origin is unknown.(more to come) Credit to = Flare100 Molton A volcano riddled planet. It is one gigantic volcano, though it has been fairly dormant for years. The ground is made of dried molten rock with lava oozing between the cracks. A race of volcano based orges are natives to this world.(more info to come) Credit to = Flare100 Subspace It is a realm in which reality is abandoned. Anything is possible. In other words, it's the world of one big videogame. People would be able to traverse on clouds, obtained currency of this world out of random brick blocks, ect.(more info to come) Credit to = Solid Snake Misc Magic Each planet has a center of power, the center of power is what fuels the "magic" of that planet. Without the source of power that type of magic cannot be used, but at the same time it could be possible for a person to acquire a piece of the source to take with them. If they have a piece of the source then they can use their magic anywhere. So for example, an all powerful wizard of planet A would be virtually powerless on planet B, but if that wizard had a piece of planet A's source, then they could still use their magic on planet B. However, if on planet B they had their piece of Planet A's source taken, stolen, or removed from their person, they would be powerless again. Each source has a guardian. People need the permission of the guardian to take a piece of said source. Since it's a piece of energy it would run out eventually. So when away from the source in which they received the piece of magic source, from the source's home world, characters would have to use their powers sparingly and be a lot more careful with them or risk their piece dying out faster, leaving them powerless.(more info to come) Credit to = GopherKing & TUC Factions Ascension Institute Basically, a group of magi, archaeologists and even mercenaries bent on discovering the secrets of creation's beginning. Each member may have their own reasons for doing so; whether it's learning for the sake of learning, or to destroy all and create it anew.(more to come) Credit to, and manager of this group = Chocobo Unified Interdimensional Authority It is a United Federation of Planets / Time-Space Administration Bureau of sorts. They don't necessarily want to 'rule' over everything so much as bringing everyone into a United Nations kind of arrangement. Every world under their jurisdiction is ruled by whatever local powers, but certain things (such as legislation, crime management, disaster relief and trading) on an interplanetary scale is decided upon by a council of representatives from each world.(more info to come) Credit to = TUC Space Pirates Not entirely a faction, but more of a well known group that waves the same flag, just with different colors and designs. Overall, we all know they're bad, clearly by some form of black in their array of colors. Either way, this faction isn't a stable one, and is easy to join simply by self proclaiming or by reputation. Just remember, there is no honor among thieves. Credit to = General Idea |
