Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	So I have this idea for a grand rp that involves everyone, and yet involves no one... Let me explain. Its basically a open/free roam rp. Be whoever you want, do whatever you want, and explore. You can even do your own solo stories/misadventure. However, this will be treated like a MMO rp, meaning anyone can join you. However, if you simply want to just free roam and rp on your own, so to speak, then in each of your posts you can simply put 'Solo Mode.' Or something. Of course, before I actually make the rp, we need a world, or worlds, to rp in. I think worlds would be better, which would allow spaceships and such. We also need factions and the like. I was going to do this on my own then present it to everyone, but I figured why do this on my own? Its more fun having other people's world ideas implanted into one big giant world, or several worlds. Anyways, I'll be updating this post and such. First, I want to lay down some basic stuff. Such as; all species are welcomed, all anime worlds are welcomed, sonic universe is welcomed, even some game worlds are welcomed. This will be an advance rp, meaning no one liners please. Please refrain from script rping, I don't want this to become a chatting in character rp. Of course, anyone can join the rp whenever they want, and anyone can drop out of the rp whenever they want. Basically its just good old rping fun. As for the title... I tried thinking of something clever, so fail on my part xD But anyways, let the ideas flow. Once we get some in I'll throw in some of my ideas and we'll brain storm and create this awesome and epic world(s) of adventure, horror, thrill, and wonder. ~LF116 ============================================ Worlds Gaia Originally earth, Gaia is the a resource rich planet that is stuck in the medieval era of technology, mainly using swords and melee weapons. They have advanced technology because of trade routes with other worlds, mainly from Syncro. Still, they keep to their medieval way of life and government. Main population is, but not limited to, humans.(more info to come) Credit to = Flare100 Talon A jungle world plants and trees cover it entirely all the locals are in-tune with nature.(more info to come) Credit to = Flare100 Syncro One of the many technologically advance worlds. The atmosphere is made of rat poisoning, so no organic beings can survive out in the open without a space suit of some kind, or any type of breather mask or helmet. The the majority population is highly advanced robots. Their origin is unknown.(more to come) Credit to = Flare100 Molton A volcano riddled planet. It is one gigantic volcano, though it has been fairly dormant for years. The ground is made of dried molten rock with lava oozing between the cracks. A race of volcano based orges are natives to this world.(more info to come) Credit to = Flare100 Subspace It is a realm in which reality is abandoned. Anything is possible. In other words, it's the world of one big videogame. People would be able to traverse on clouds, obtained currency of this world out of random brick blocks, ect.(more info to come) Credit to = Solid Snake Misc Magic Each planet has a center of power, the center of power is what fuels the "magic" of that planet. Without the source of power that type of magic cannot be used, but at the same time it could be possible for a person to acquire a piece of the source to take with them. If they have a piece of the source then they can use their magic anywhere. So for example, an all powerful wizard of planet A would be virtually powerless on planet B, but if that wizard had a piece of planet A's source, then they could still use their magic on planet B. However, if on planet B they had their piece of Planet A's source taken, stolen, or removed from their person, they would be powerless again. Each source has a guardian. People need the permission of the guardian to take a piece of said source. Since it's a piece of energy it would run out eventually. So when away from the source in which they received the piece of magic source, from the source's home world, characters would have to use their powers sparingly and be a lot more careful with them or risk their piece dying out faster, leaving them powerless.(more info to come) Credit to = GopherKing & TUC Factions Ascension Institute Basically, a group of magi, archaeologists and even mercenaries bent on discovering the secrets of creation's beginning. Each member may have their own reasons for doing so; whether it's learning for the sake of learning, or to destroy all and create it anew.(more to come) Credit to, and manager of this group = Chocobo Unified Interdimensional Authority It is a United Federation of Planets / Time-Space Administration Bureau of sorts. They don't necessarily want to 'rule' over everything so much as bringing everyone into a United Nations kind of arrangement. Every world under their jurisdiction is ruled by whatever local powers, but certain things (such as legislation, crime management, disaster relief and trading) on an interplanetary scale is decided upon by a council of representatives from each world.(more info to come) Credit to = TUC Space Pirates Not entirely a faction, but more of a well known group that waves the same flag, just with different colors and designs. Overall, we all know they're bad, clearly by some form of black in their array of colors. Either way, this faction isn't a stable one, and is easy to join simply by self proclaiming or by reputation. I mean, the only condition I have is that they be some how tied to each other worlds, meaning that there is an easy way of accessing said world through other words. Either by spaceships, portals, whatever. And of course, if we're thinking about different worlds, there are going to be deities of some sort. Not gonna knock that back, its bound to happen. Also, for these worlds, don't just think space wise. Meaning these worlds you guys think of don't have to be entirely different planets. There can be world(s) within a world(s), like in 'Journey to the Center of the World' or, thinking in aspect of the anime Bleach, spiritual realms/worlds. Good ideas so far though. As for bios, if you mean world wise, not really. If you mean character wise, we'll get to that later. But if you already have a bio of your chara, then don't worry about it. I'll wait for a few more ideas before I start spiting out my own. Also, you guys can talk about each other's ideas, ya know, if you think a certain idea or world could use a little something-something then feel free to voice your thoughts. I want all of us to create this world(s), yet please do not argue and bicker, have fun and remember to be open minded.

Quote: all anime worlds are welcomed, sonic universe is welcomed, even some game worlds are welcomed. for example the world you proposed, Syncro, sounds cool but if it had the most advanced technology in the solar system then it might prevent other RP'ers from using a world with more advanced technology, unless we had multiple solar systems but that might get confusing. XP Anyways, I'm going to propose that we have different planes of existence that exist parralel to the physical world, different planes could have different purposes and inhabitants. For example, we could have a demon world as one, the afterlife as another, a plane for deities to dwell in, the physical plane (where our characters would generally be, and any plots would generally take place on.), and charactersd could travel between planes of existence somehow. Let me know what people think!

Except... Subspace. Now, this realm is more of a highway that my main character Aaron Kunai uses to get around. However, my concept of Subspace is this; what if it was offered to everyone as a means of transportation? It can be used to navigate other planets. Other than that, I got nothing.

It worked for Scott Pilgrim and my FC's. Why not this RP? and also this just came to me, but there could be a force dedicated to protecting Subspace from any person(s) that want(s) to corrupt it and take over that realm. Don't know if it'll sell well, but gotta try, gotta try.

There is still a means of getting around this subspace itself. I mean, unless its just corridors or what not, not like an actual world. But yeah, I was thinking for on the lines of spaceships, aircrafts, mounts(land and air), or whatever. Each world could have different things and different means of transportation. Also, sorry I've been busy and haven't been keeping up with this ^.^;
