I'd like to know what you believe is next for Sonic The Hedgehog and his infamous crew. You may discuss future appearances in other games as well as new games that are rumoured for release. You are not allowed to discuss future spin-off's in this thread as this is for Sonic The Hedgehog and other characters of the same series only.

I'm not sure how they'll do that because it's quite the vulgar area, lol. Some can be a bit much for Sonic. I'm thinking the next Sonic game will be for the Wii U, obviously. Maybe that Sonic Dimensions game that was rumored/possibly confirmed a while back. Supposedly, continuing from Generations, Sonic's personalities are split into different Sonics based by color. Each Sonic has it's own individual advantages and things along that nature, then there will be 2D style platforming from that. Similar to Mario-style platforming. I'd rather not see a rhythm game for Sonic, however... That Viva SEGA game was far enough... Edited by Eren Jaeger, Dec 13 2012, 02:43 PM.

I want my Knuckles back. :C Yeah, that's a very good idea. Before Sega starts making more interesting plots again, they should reintroduce other characters as playable. They need to find that ideal gameplay for other characters, like they have with Sonic, and only after they've done that should they work on reintroducing plot. I loved SA and SA2; I just don't know if Sega is ready to try to reintroduce that sort of story quality again, right now. They've got something good going gameplay-wise for Sonic, and I think they could do well with the other characters if they tried, but the plot lately has been fairly minimal. The worst part is, the minimal plot style is starting to grow on me. xD; '06 and Unleashed being immediately before the plot becomes pretty much irrelevant has emotionally swayed me, in a way. I do want to see more plot again, but before that I want to see what Sega is capable of for the other characters, in terms of gameplay.

But I know what i want and you know it to. Sonic Adventure 3. You know you want it. A new story book game would be good to. But as long as it has a chao garden, im cool with it. (I would also like sonic heroes 2, but hey, I guy can dream)
