I'd like to know what you believe is next for Sonic The Hedgehog and his infamous crew. You may discuss future appearances in other games as well as new games that are rumoured for release. You are not allowed to discuss future spin-off's in this thread as this is for Sonic The Hedgehog and other characters of the same series only.

I would like to see the side chars used more/better. Still no word though on what the new Sonic game will be though. You know, I was going to say "Even Colours fits into that!", but then I recalled the lack of a beach level. xD So yeah, most of what Withering Entity has said applies, as far as plot goes. As for gameplay, I'm inclined to say we can expect more of the same. Unleashed pointed in the right direction, Colours mastered the concept with the addition of wisps, and Generations managed to pull it off without wisps. Basically, I'm expecting a continuation of the same style of gameplay, which would be brilliant.

I'm not sure what point in history they'd go for at this point, though. I mean, they seem to have been going through history forward (ancient Arabia, medieval Europe) so unless they want a Sonic in World War I they've got themselves into a rut. I could be wrong about the timeline though, maybe they will go backwards. Who knows? I agree with Forever Eevee, though, Sega is probably going to go for the WiiU.
