The Female Ultimate Life Form! Posts: 3,112 Group: E Rank Legend Member #59 Joined: April 29, 2006	It's time again to take a look at the next arc for Sonic Universe. This time we get some Chaotix action! Spoiler: click to toggle Vector, Espio, and Charmy are on the hunt for Mighty and Ray. Mighty had left to find his sister, after rumors of her being alive and well. The Chaotix had been keeping in touch, until the warp ring randomly came back to Vector and them without word from Mighty. His last known whereabouts were in Mercia. The comic opens up with Vector, Espio, and Charmy under attack by the Dark Egg Legion in Deerwood forest. They seem to be outnumbered until the Mercian Freedom Fighters appear and help the Chaotix out. Lead by Bow Sparrow, the Mercia Freedom Fighters invite the Chaotix to rest at the Hideaway to discuss things. The Choatix explain why they're in Mercia and wonder if any of the freedom fighters saw Mighty. In reply to this, Alan Quail breaks into song as he tells the tale of Mighty. He explains that Mighty was last spotted seeking the records of his sister. During a fight, the freedom fighters urged Mighty and Ray to sneak into the castle and that was the last the two were seen. The Chaotix decide they should head to castle as well. The Mercia Freedom Fighters tell them there is a secret passage to the castle they can take. However, the Egg legionnaire, Lord Hood, becomes aware of the trespassers and the secret passage. Not much really to say with this issue right now since it just started. It's a good start for the story though and I like the Mercia Freedom Fighters for the most part. I don't remember them all that well, but they're likeable.

Mercia?" Yeah I don't know much about the Sonic Comics, I only got the very first two archive volumes.

It seems like a direct parody of Robin Hood, and yes I know that is pretty much the intention. My only complaint is that while the Mercia Freedom Fighters work well as a group, there are too few stand-out characters. I like Munch Rat for his attitude, and Bow has some potential, and that's about it. Spoiler: click to toggle If you read the rest of the comic(specifically The Sonic Spin, straight after the final page of story-comic) it pretty much tells us Bow is a Rogue from the Babylonian forces.
