![]() Never fancied much anime's I can tell, but there's even an rare example available for the likes of me, who would never bother to look through a whole two episodes. There was just something about this series though. Not the fact there's awesome wolf's involved. That's a bonus for sure, but It's so emotional, ending up caring for each and every character, I don't wanna see em dead. So with that, yes this ain't for the younger crowd's as it offers more then enough blood shed. So I'll make it short. Wolf's said to have been extinct for 200 year's, yet their very well still alive, but hiding their true nature, by disusing them self as humans. How such occurred, I wouldn't want to tell, as that'd make the whole interest fade away. What makes this so interesting, is that I keep on looking after one episode's done, almost to the extent I have no other alternatives then to shut off my Pc, heading for work. It was made back in 2003, it only aired 26 episodes, witch is sad, because I'm already nearing the end, and I doubt I'll find something so fascinating again. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I doubt anyone will be able to convince me otherwise. So I'm merely curious as whether anyone else have seen, heard or have any opinions around this series. I'll leave a few links below. Note however, I've watched the dubbed version, I can never follow the Japanese without having to focus to much on the text so that's why I picked the one with the English voices. It's easily accessible to watch on youtube as well. Though if it'd been a bit easier picking up the actual dvd set or something, I'd go as far I would pick it up. No hesitation, whatsoever. |

Ah, I love Wolf's Rain. It's probably the only anime I've ever really enjoyed. It's dark and it's definitely pretty bloody in some places, but it really sucks you in and doesn't let go. I watched the dubbed version too. I was lucky enough to see the first episode while the series was still playing on Adult Swim, and ended up taping it for curiosity's sake. I had never heard of it before and had no idea what it was, but I liked wolves and it sounded interesting--it was just on way too late for me to stay up to watch it. Or at least that's what I thought then. By the time the series was halfway through, my mother and I were both staying up till 1 AM waiting for it to come on because we were too impatient to just wait and watch the tape in the morning. ![]() Unfortunately, the only girl I know who likes Anime, said that she didn't like Wolf's Rain. You're probably the first person I've seen who does like it. |

I can't possible be the only one? Yet while I'm looking at the amount of responses I could very well say the same. I loved it to bits, though I almost wished to shed a tear near the end. That was just heartbreaking! Now from a standpoint of view, the first episode didn't exactly draw me into it, it was only after I've seen maybe 3 or 4 episodes that I really started to get connected. |

Heh yeah, it definitely isn't a "happy" ending, even if it is at least (somewhat) optimistic. I also agree that it's not the sort of series that sucks you in from the very first episode. But it was still awfully intriguing. They really manage to cram a lot of backstory into the series, despite how short it is. Lots of little details that make you want to ask, "who made this thing?" or "where did that come from?" I think that's partly why I like watching Adventure Time now, even though in other respects they're very, very different shows; they both give the impression of having very well-developed and sort of surreal histories. |

Hydrocity Act 1

Ah, Wolf's Rain. Sweet memories from high school days. I watched this serie pretty far, but didn't watch it till the end by some reason which I can't remember. The characters were cool, I especially liked the old man hunter. The only thing that I can remember (of the things that make me just wonder so much) is Tsume's pants. How can he move around with those tight pants I should start watching this again right from the beginning next week after all the school works I'm currently drowning in. Maybe then I have more to add to the talk in this topic. c: |

He also seemed the friendliest with humans, even if it turned out for the worst at times, eg. when he accidentally killed the girl's falcon.
