Sonic the Hedgehog - Fallen Heroes (Story 1)

 Sonic homing attacked onto the wing of the Tornado,

"Tails! We gotta get outta here!" he called out to the young fox, who nodded, and flew into the cockpit, as they flew off from an island, a large explosion nearly following them. The forest on the island was burning from the ground up, and a large, round figure in a flying mobile rose from the smoke, growling and yelling a the two as they flew off into the sunset.

"I hate that Sonic, he always seems to get in my way!" Eggman hissed, flying off to his old Metropolis base. Flying in, he walked for what seemed to be hours, looking around, seeing the empty shells of former robots that Sonic and Tails had destroyed years ago. He found a long cordor, and brushed his hand against a wall, pushing his index finger on a button. A secret passage opened up at the end of the cordor, and he walked in. Various un-used robots lay in wait, and Eggman thought,

"I never did get around to using these...still, something doesn't feel right." The only sound throughout the whole base were his footsteps, as the base had been abandoned and not a single gear moved until this visit. He finally found what he was looking for. An un-usued Metal Sonic robot. Eggman pulled out a Choas Emerald from his pocket that he managed to keep from Sonic and Tails, and opened the robot's chest, and put the emerald inside. The robot's eyes turned on, glowing red.

"What is your wish, master?" It asked, and Eggman thought for a moment, and then broke out into a maniacal laughter.

"I want you to kill a certain blue hedgehog and all his friends! And while you're at it, bring me the Chaos and Super emeralds!" Eggman commanded. The robot nodded, and boosting away, leaving Eggman dizzy as all the dust flew off the robot.

Sonic lay in a chair in Emerald Coast, as he saw an object flying high up in the sky. Too far away to truly identify it, Sonic shrugged figuring it was Tails doing one of his test flights. It flew down at a near breathtaking pace, revealing it was the robot that Eggman had unleashed. Sonic, not noticing, turned in his chair.

"TARGET IDENTIFIED AS SONIC THE HEDGEHOG." It took a note, charging an energy blast from it's core.

"That's nice, Tails...wait...WHAT?!" Sonic yelled, throwing off his sun glasses, and rolling out of the way just in time to avoid the blast, which had completely destroyed the chair he was laying in, and the umbrella, along with creating a large whole in in that particullar section of the shore.

"Alright, tin-head..you wanna fight? Well, have at it!" Sonic mocked, jumping on the side of a building, and launching a homing attack on the robot. Metal Sonic quickly dodged, thinking Sonic would fall into the water and drown. Sonic quickly boosted just as he landed on the water and ran up the side of a large rock formation, attempting to attack the robot again. Sonic kicked the tip of the rock, and homing attacked and boosted at the same time, hitting the robot, sending it flying into Station Square. Sonic landed on the beach, and gulped at the thought of what would happen next.

A few weeks have passed since this incident, and Eggman has remained un-heard from, as has this new robot. What is Eggman planning? Will his initial plan work? What exactly is this robot's plan?
