The problem being is that me getting a PS3 soon, I want to devlop my own opinion on the supposed "worst" version. Can you guys tell me if the game is as bad as everyone says it is?

Save your money and buy some chilli dogs instead for a more authentic taste of Sonic goodness. I'm serious. Don't buy '06, buy chilli dogs instead.

Mach speed zones were fun but there's no fast pace action for ANY story IMO. And the final boss? Fell asleep while playing it and it was in the middle of the day. The game is probably about 5 or 10 bucks now. Stifle your curiosity. Save your money. Use it towards a better game.

I bought it, and now it's stuck on my PS3's harddrive. Forever. WORST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED! Made me stop being a Sonic fan for months. But...I played Heroes and Unleashede on my PS2, and was reminded why I loved Sonic.

Maybe it's not the worse game I ever played, nor do I really hate it that bad, but I still don't see it as enjoyable, I was only able to beat it once.. Dragged on way too much, Sonic was way too.. Unsonic.. The opening and the ending cutscene were AWESOME though, but throughout the Game Sonic was just out of it. And yeah, same for most other characters.

And no I don't need medical attention. me too! i really liked 06. i actually avoided pretty much all of the glitches on my first playthrough. on my more recent one i noticed a few but honestly it wasn't that big a deal for me. the loading screens were irritating. some of the voicework could have used a bit more polishing (but what else is new for a sonic game). the story wasn't perfect. i hated elise with a passion (and her legs looked like carrots...). but i thought it was fun anyway. i liked catching bullets and throwing them back at the robots as silver. like that was really satisfying for me.
